Stayed for four nights and had a great time! The hotel is in the old town and has a great location. It takes a few minutes to get to the main street. Turn left at the main street entrance and there is a supermarket. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the Grand Place clock tower. The back garden is small and elegant. I sat down and ordered afternoon tea twice. The hotel waiters I met were of high quality and very enthusiastic, which is a plus for the hotel. I called a taxi three times at the front desk, and they all charged the meter price. There was a little problem with the sink in the bathroom on the first day of stay. It was very warm to put a card and a box of chocolates. The medieval city of Bruges and this castle hotel will be eternal and beautiful memories!

The Aragon hotel is situated almost in the center of Bruges. Accessibility is easy for small cars, if you happen to have a larger station wagon or even a small or large MPV you will find it difficult to park at the hotel (limited parking spots and not easily accessible). The rooms we booked were in a separate building a 2 minutes walk from the main hotel. The walk over there is no issue, dragging you luggage there though is ! Also as the main hotel has the restaurant and breakfast location, you need to walk there, which was not an issue for us (mid summer 2019 it was nice and dry) but would be on a rainy day. The overall price we paid for the rooms was more then OK as the rooms were spacious and nice.
The breakfast is OK, but not up to a 4 star hotel rating.
At check out, although everything was prepaid I was asked to pay a local tax by credit card which I found disappointing.

It's hard to decide what the best feature of this hotel was. The location is excellent because it is on the edge of the commercial district, and not directly in it, as some of the other hotels we considered staying in were. This meant it was quiet and peaceful but still only a few minutes walk to the center of town. The hotel itself feels more like a private home than a hotel which made it feel really personal. The staff was excellent and could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was mostly comfortable with a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good towels, etc. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning in our room (number 26) was under powered and the only unit in the room was on the opposite side of the room than the bed. Even with the thermostat set to the lowest temperature, the room was too warm overnight. If not for this, I would give the hotel 5 stars. Overall though, this is a great hotel and very worth staying at.

We stayed here overnight on the way back to Calais from Germany What an absolute gem. As soon as you turn into the car park it’s obviously not your average hotel. The approach to the building is lovely, plenty of tables and chairs and umbrellas on both sides of the grey stone paved approach to reception. The rooms are very nice, spacious, clean, modern and very comfortable. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the whole ambience of the place is relaxing. Dinner in the restaurant, though a little costly, was exceptional and worth every penny. Breakfast very good and more than enough choice of meats, cheese, yoghurts, fresh bread, fruit, juice, coffee tea etc etc There isn’t a full English option, but there is bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage - if you must have it!!

Fabulous location glorious room in a beautiful Hotel. Highly recommend. Our fifth time visiting Brugge and will definitely return to this Hotel again. Parking charge a little steep but parking in the city centre is at a premium. Staff very pleasant but could do with a few more.

Overall a very good experience - lovely setting and well appointed room with comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A few things could be improved: - no mention was made, in the info received before arrival , of the free shuttle service from the station ( one of the staff told us about it as we left). - better information on the breakfast would be helpful - it was described as a buffet, so we helped ourselves only to find that there was also an option for a cooked dish. - our room was very hot at night (unseasonably warm October) and mosquitos, from the canal presumably, were a problem with the windows open. - although room service was excellent we would have liked to be able to make tea or coffee ourselves without troubling the staff .

The only thing is that the aunt at the front desk is a little bit strong and makes me a little uncomfortable. The location is also very good. Very quiet. The temperature was 40 degrees at the end of July. The room we stayed in may not face south so it is cool. The toilet is also pretty good. It is recommended for everyone to stay. Bruges is worth visiting for two days (if you like taking pictures). By the way. It is not convenient to take the bus from the railway station and then drag the box down the stone road. There is no uber to play, there seems to be a taxi

GGuest UserWe were very impressed with this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights. The room was massive, with windows on 2 sides looking over the canal. Great location, just out of the city centre. Really good restaurants and bars 5 mins walk (Punta Est, Brasserie Uilenspiegel, Cafe t Klein, Boem Patat) and many more. Had a fantastic day out on rented bikes (De Ketting). Breakfast is continental with hot bacon and scrambled eggs. Good selection of bread, cheese, eggs, hams, fruit, yoghurt, etc. All you can eat/drink. Would definitely return as so spacious and quiet at night. Bus stop right outside (across the canal No1 route) every 10mins to the station.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very well located, in the centre, a step away from everything. We had the Fort Lapin room with terrace. The cleaning, and maintenance leaves much to desire. The gardens of the room are to change them. They have a manchor of about 20cm all the length they are about 3 metres more or less. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. In addition to having the fairly small stairs (my wife has 39 and he went out half foot), in the bathroom, there is a bathroom and shower, the two pads were crying through the board. One of them was ”repared” with fixed... For us, this is already personal, the kitchen lacks a microwave. Needable if you travel with a baby. A pity, because with a little more care would be an ideal site. A greeting

GGuest UserI booked a last minute deluxe room for a WE with my wife. Stayed there several times before but this was the first time in five years. I received a top floor (5th) room overlooking the swimming pool, harbour with partial seaview in the newest part of the hotel. The room and bathroom were not particularly large but modern and with improved design and furniture, all by all big enough with a comfortable bed. Only a shower in the bathroom (as it is usually in newer hotels). The large balcony was great with wooden floor and could fit two lounge beds. We did not not take the breakfast as we were not impressed in previous visit and found the buffet to be expensive, however we did have dinner on the poolside terrace, the menu is not big, but we found the food to be delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On top of all, the weather was great. We will be back!
