"Staying at Meihau Hotel (No. 9 Yading Road) in Daocheng was a great recovery – no worries about the altitude here! Once you close the door, the self-oxygen supply with a nasal cannula kicks in. The underfloor heating was lovely, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the mountains at the town entrance. The owner personally helped with luggage, a ******* lady served butter tea and offered Coke to prevent altitude sickness, and they even provided hot noodles late at night and an umbrella when it rained. Meihau's service in Daocheng is top-notch and really goes the extra mile!"

"This guesthouse is a hidden gem in Yading Village. Its location at Station 3 is convenient yet quiet. It faces the majestic Xiannairi peak, perfect for photography enthusiasts who can capture the sunrise over Xiannairi and the golden sunset over Chanadorje from the rooftop.
For friends traveling together or families with children, you can relax on the lounge chairs outside the guesthouse's restaurant, facing the snow-capped mountains, and purify your soul. The rooms are equipped with oxygen supply, ensuring a comfortable stay at high altitudes. For families with children, you can head out for a short hike after checking in. The lake is calmer in the afternoon, and the reflections are clearer due to the angle of the light.
For those who love hiking, I highly recommend staying a night in Yading Village. This allows ample time for the long trail and helps you acclimatize better to the high altitude, ensuring you're in top form for hiking the next day.

Guest UserMy friend had an amazing experience staying at Zhaxikong Villa this time. The guesthouse's location is excellent, situated between observation bus stops 1 and 2 within the scenic area, making it incredibly convenient for both long and short tours and saving a lot of hassle. The staff provided meticulous and thoughtful service, actively helping with luggage and offering helpful tips for high-altitude travel. The guesthouse's food exceeded expectations; the yak meat and authentic local dishes were delicious and very satisfying. The room amenities were complete, with underfloor heating keeping it warm even in winter, and an oxygen supply effectively alleviated altitude sickness. The terrace offered a panoramic view, allowing us to admire the stunning beauty of Xiannairi Snow Mountain without leaving the room – truly a breathtaking and therapeutic sight. Everything, from the facilities and food to the service, was impeccable. This is definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Yading!

The guesthouse I booked on Ctrip was fantastic! The navigation on Gaode Maps was very accurate. The guesthouse had a charming ******* feel, was very comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. The rooms and facilities were excellent. Upon arrival, we were given a welcome khata (traditional ******* scarf), butter tea, and tsampa. We could also enjoy our own homegrown fruit. The area is surrounded by ******* houses, and free-roaming cows and pigs roam around. There were also adorable deer in the guesthouse that were very affectionate. Parking was convenient in the yard. The food was delicious and inexpensive, offering excellent value for money. The guesthouse and garden were beautiful; it's truly a hidden gem! Pet-friendly, highly recommended!

A set of limited edition Yading postcards from ”Jingbo ▪ Worry-Free Commemoration”: The most memorable gift of the trip, plus a CD with local folk songs.
Two servings of Rhodiola Rosea drinks to combat altitude sickness: In addition to Rhodiola Rosea, there was also a bedtime milk, which was foamed. The complimentary desserts were also quite good.
I would definitely stay here again next time I come.

Transportation is super convenient too, with Station 1 right outside. After exploring the scenic area, they even helped us bring our stored luggage to the roadside so we could head straight down the mountain. Very thoughtful and helpful!

It has its own large parking lot in front, convenient for those traveling by car. The rooms are spacious, bright, and clean, and even have underfloor heating. They also provide oxygen concentrators to help with altitude sickness. Special praise goes to the hotel owner, who is not only beautiful but also incredibly gentle and kind. She is extremely considerate of guests, treating them like family and valued guests. She even personally explains the scenic routes and highlights to guests; this heartwarming service deserves high praise. I would definitely stay here again next time.

The owner is very welcoming. If you're going to Daocheng, it's a good idea to contact them in advance. You can drop off your luggage at stop #1, and someone will transport it to the hotel. When you're heading back, it's just about a 100m walk from stop #2.
The room has a rustic, wood-themed decor and comes with floor heating, plus free oxygen supply. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower has good water pressure with hot water. The room layout is comfortable, and the decor is quite new. When you open the curtains, you get a fantastic view of the snow-capped mountains – truly a top-notch experience in such a setting.
Since there aren't many restaurants nearby, we just ordered food directly from the hotel, and guests get a 12% discount. The ingredients were very fresh, but it's tough to keep food piping hot in high-altitude areas, so there was a bit of a wait for our order, and it cooled down pretty quickly. Reheating it also took some time. 🥲

This was, without a doubt, the best hotel we stayed at during our trip! 😍
We arrived quite late after traveling from another city, and the hotel upgraded us to an Executive Suite from a King Room for free. Wow, we were so lucky! The room was clean and tidy, and it was soundproof, so we slept wonderfully. 👍
The service was exceptional. All guests staying at the hotel can get free self-heating rice meals made by the hotel's own chef. We took ours with us on the road to Daocheng the next day, and it was so much better than instant food – warm and thoughtful! 🫶
If you're coming to Daocheng, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel!

I stayed two nights and highly recommend it! It's very close to the scenic area entrance, just a few minutes' walk (there's a shortcut up the stairs, you can ask the owner for directions), the surrounding area is very quiet, the facilities are complete, and you can even have a simple breakfast (it wasn't mentioned on the platform, but the owner kindly told me). It's great value for money! And the whole family at the guesthouse was incredibly kind!! They helped me a lot, it was so touching~ I wish the owner great success and the kind grandmother there good health!

The best choice for a trip to Daocheng Yading is undoubtedly the Crowne Plaza Yading Risong Gongbu Hotel. Located in the heart of Shangri-La town, its 2800-meter altitude is just right, avoiding altitude sickness while providing convenient access to the Yading scenic area entrance – a mere 15-minute drive to the sacred mountains.
Upon arrival, a concierge proactively offered to help with luggage, a warm gesture spreading from the moment you stepped out of the car. Entering the double-height lobby, the ******* elements blend seamlessly with modern design. The hanging scroll depicting the three sacred mountains of Yading instantly evoked anticipation for the journey. The seated service during check-in was exceptionally attentive; staff member David offered ginger tea to dispel the chill of the journey and provided a detailed explanation of the scenic route and a guide map.
The hotel's dining experience was a highlight of the trip. While the breakfast wasn't as lavish as in inland China, it was certainly excellent for the ******* region.

Wow, this is fantastic! The hotel has a large courtyard, and parking is free for those driving, so you don't need to worry about finding a spot. There are free oxygen concentrators in the lobby, and you can fill oxygen bags for free. The front desk staff are very welcoming and quick to check in. They even provided free travel guides for Yading and the surrounding area, and recommended nearby restaurants. They proactively helped with our luggage. The rooms were clean, spacious, and great value for money. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the town center. The rooms were well-equipped, and you can call the front desk anytime you need anything. There's also a free washing machine on the third floor. Overall, it's a fantastic hotel and highly recommended!
