Shilin Hotels with Balcony

"I chose this hotel by chance and had an unexpectedly great experience. The location is easy to find, and parking is convenient. The room was bright and airy, impeccably clean, and all the facilities were well-maintained and felt new. The staff were warm and attentive throughout my stay, always responsive to my needs. The price was also very reasonable, making it suitable for both solo travelers and those with friends. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends, and it will be my top choice for future trips!"

"Our room was very spacious and had two toilets which was very convenient for 3 people staying together. There was even a massage chair in the room! The breakfast buffet was great too and there were lots of dishes we could choose from. Overall, we had a great stay!"

"We stopped there on our way from Kunming to Yuanyang to split the trip and to enjoy the silver stone forest. Such a good pick we had by choosing the Mijia Inn! It's located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the silver stone forest entrance (~5km). The rooms are nice, well equipped, clean and the beds comfortable. We even had a balcony with seats to rest in. The common places are also very nice. There is at least one good restaurant nearby (as we only tried this one), along the main road; and a 7/11 equivalent just facing the house. The young lady managing the house speaks English; she's very nice and helpful. Definitely the place to stop when sleeping in Shilin!"

"I originally wanted to book a twin room with a view, but it was no longer available. Ctrip helped coordinate a parent-child room. The view was not so good but it was convenient for a family to live in. The bathroom was very clean and the three plush toys were also clean. You can safely play with your children. There is a small picture book, the master bedroom has air conditioning, but the small bedroom does not, and the quilt is small and thin. Fortunately, there is a blanket, otherwise it will be cold in winter. The master bedroom has a window, but the small bedroom has a window but it cannot be opened, which means there is no window. The toilet seat in the bathroom is broken. Yes, it's wobbly for fear of falling down. The water volume is large and the temperature is suitable for showering. It's very comfortable. Maybe it's because our room is the only one occupied in the building we live in, so the water volume doesn't affect it. In addition, it's a long walk to Shihai Hot Spring. If it's too late, Wearing a bathrobe in the cold will make you feel cold. You can try to ask the hotel to arrange a battery car. If you don’t want to drive a few kilometers away for meals, you can only eat at the hotel’s on-site restaurant. There is no other choice. The supermarket is also a long way away, so it is best to bring the necessary items when you stay in the hotel. I brought everything else with me and there is nothing wrong with me. I will choose this place again next time I go to the hot springs."

"Choose a special room is very cost-effective, the hotel is very close to the stone forest scenic spot, there are many restaurants around, dining is very convenient. Sleeping at night is also quiet. The uncle at the front desk took the initiative to inform the hotel that there is a vegetable market next to the hotel to buy cheap breakfast. There is a parking space in front of the hotel and parking is very convenient."

"My stay was absolutely a delightful experience. The host Chu Da is a kind, sensitive, and gracious person. He made sure that our needs are met. He volunteered to drive us to Shilin scenic area, free of charge. He was always there to help us. That level of hospitality and generosity is very moving. He rendered our relationship more than just a business transaction. He is very sincere and available to help, and yet not intrusive. He is a man of few words, and even came across as a very shy and reserved person. But it was a pleasure to be around him. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is an ideal host. His house is aesthetically pleasing and tasteful and enjoys state-of-the-art facilities. My room felt like a five-star-hotel room with a balcony. The backyard gives the whole house a space of tranquility. Chu Da apparently loves life and living. All the plants and flowers both inside and outside of the house are well cared for. Chu Da has a son who was there too. I find his son a delightful child who resembles his father in both appearance and personality. Their house is centrally located in the Yi Ethnic Village and yet enjoys a very secluded corner that feels very private. With all these amazing qualities, this place is yet so affordable. The level of service that I received made me feel that it’s actually underpriced. Highly recommending this place to you. I would stay there if I were going back, which is very likely given that I had such a wonderful, albeit brief, visit."

"The hotel is relatively old, and the front desk staff is friendly. There are no supplies in the room except toiletries, and there is only one hanger. The shower head does not produce water, and the hot and cold water of the shower head is unstable, and the water flow is very small and it is impossible to take a shower. The buffet breakfast variety is average."
