Xiaojin Hotels with Balcony

What a pleasant surprise for our first stop on our western Sichuan road trip! The room was incredibly clean and tidy, and the owner is very detail-oriented. There's even an oxygen supply in the room, and the service was amazing and super attentive! The hotel also has fantastic views, which was very therapeutic! The yak hotpot was the best we had on this entire western Sichuan trip! Highly recommend!!!

The owner and staff of the hotel are very enthusiastic! There is a small dam outside the room on the first floor of the second store. It is very comfortable. You can see the tip of the snowy mountains outside the window. Good luck to see Rizhao Jinshan at night! Room floor heating, electric blanket, oxygen generator are all complete 👍 Add: you can bring a little fruit snack yourself, you haven't bought it nearby!

Overall This was an absolutely stunning stay — one of the best I've experienced, and it truly blew us away. We had a balcony room with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The resort is run by a warm couple and a team of locals who were wonderfully attentive and helpful, arranging our transportation from Chengdu to their doorstep and back. The food was exceptional — wholesome, nourishing and deeply local. The dinner hotpot hit the spot on a cold night, and breakfast was healthy and energising — exactly what you need before a long day of hiking. The room itself was spectacular; waking up to pine trees dusted with snow and a clear mountain view was something else. On a clear night, you could stargaze from the balcony and melt into the rocking chair. Simply blissful and a good escape from the city life. Highly recommend NPS 10. 🏨 Room — 10/10 Great layout, comfortable bed, a warm toilet seat on a cold morning, spacious, and most importantly — a stunning view. The hotel is relatively new, having opened in 2025 according to the owners. 🧹 Cleanliness — 10/10 Spotless throughout. All common areas were new and well kept. 👋 Staff Friendliness & Responsiveness — 10/10 The couple who run the place are genuinely lovely — always on hand to ensure you have a great stay. Responsive over WeChat to help coordinate logistics ahead of the trip, and they'll drop you at the entrance of the main hiking sites. Other staff were equally helpful. The primary language is Chinese, but they are patient and a translation app works perfectly fine. 📍 Location — 9/10 A 10-minute drive from both Changping and Shuangqiao valleys. Not much in the immediate surroundings — quaint little farms, grazing cows, and steep hills that will test anyone not yet acclimatised. 🍽️ Food & Drink — 9/10 The hotpot on both nights was incredibly nourishing and full of flavour, featuring a variety of local wild vegetables and mushrooms. There is also a stir-fry menu with a solid selection of local dishes, though we stuck to the hotpot both evenings. 🌅 View/Scenery — 11/10 Snowcapped peaks and beautiful pine forests as far as the eye can see (visited in April). I could have sat and stared out the window all day. 🏃 Activities & Surroundings — 10/10 The mountains and hiking trails are the main draw here — and honestly, the only activity you'll ever need. Shuangqiao is absolutely gorgeous and you could spend a whole day there if you like to hike(instead of just taking the bus). Changping is more for hikers, no bus service with a different charm, I love it more cause it was less touristy. The immediate area is quiet — everything you need is within the hotel itself. Stock up on essentials in the city, or check with staff ahead of time if there's anything specific you need. It's a hillside town, four hours from Chengdu.

This guesthouse in Siguniang Mountain was absolutely the perfect choice for my trip! Room 2 on the first floor gets incredible light, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides. On a sunny day, the room is bathed in sunlight, and you can enjoy the mountain views right from inside. I set an alarm for 7 AM, and after drawing the curtains, I got to see the 'golden peaks' bathed in the morning sun. Then I just went back to sleep – pure bliss! The diffuse oxygen concentrator in the room was a lifesaver! Both my husband and I had mild altitude sickness, but after turning it on, our symptoms completely disappeared, and we slept incredibly soundly through the night. The room also came with a coffee machine and tea set. The decor and little details were all so tasteful; it felt like the owner and I shared the same aesthetic. In the evening, we watched movies on the huge projector – the mountain surroundings were so quiet and therapeutic, making us feel completely relaxed. The guesthouse is located on the mountain, and the service from the staff was exceptionally warm and thoughtful. As soon as we arrived, he proactively helped us with our luggage and tidied the room. After we finished sightseeing, he would come down the mountain to pick us up and drop us off. The whole experience was effortless and heartwarming. The breakfast was exquisite and abundant, and the wontons and noodles for dinner were absolutely delicious – some of the best I've had in Sichuan. There's also a small courtyard outside where you can sunbathe and enjoy the mountain breeze; it's incredibly comfortable. This was by far the most satisfying accommodation of my entire trip to Western Sichuan. No doubt about it. Next time I come to Siguniang Mountain, I'll definitely choose this place again!

Avoid the peak season and friends to punch in Siguniang Mountain, set Changpinggougougou Fangyuan Li 3300 French Mountain Residence, the location is excellent, it is very convenient to go to the scenic spot. Although it is a new store, the overall is well maintained. The butler service is online throughout the whole process, and the parking lot is answered. The large luggage is actively helped to carry. There are Hada, hot tea, welcome fruit and afternoon tea. The details are very warm. Staying in the viewing pool twin room, floor heating, oxygen supply equipment, highland living comfort is full, toiletries are branded, Dyson hair dryer is a plus. The room has a good view, the private soup pool viewing experience is excellent, clean and quiet, whether it is a friend or a small couple to travel, the overall stay experience is full, highly recommended!

The best stay we had in China, by far. 😍 From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well looked after. On our first day in Siguniang, they came to pick us up as soon as we arrived, and throughout our stay they helped us with absolutely everything. The hotel and the room are beautifully decorated, with so much attention to detail, and the views are amazing. We also slept really well every night. We had dinner there every evening and were genuinely impressed by how good the food was. You can really tell that everything is made with care. We also loved the atmosphere among the staff: they clearly get along very well and feel like a little family, which makes the whole place feel warm and welcoming. On our first day, we took it easy to acclimatize and went for a short walk nearby. You do need transport to get into town and to reach the hiking areas, but they are very helpful and can arrange everything for you. We absolutely loved our stay.🫶 Special thanks to the lovely girl at reception!! P.S. We highly recommend the soup pot, perfect after a hiking day. (sorry for the long review, I just couldn’t make it any shorter!)

The room was spotless, and from the window, I could gaze at Mount Balang. Stepping out into the courtyard, I enjoyed views of Mount Balang on one side and Mount Siguniang on the other – truly delightful. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Since my elderly mother was with me and experienced some altitude sickness, the staff showed great concern and care. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. Considering we were in the mountains, the accommodation quality was excellent. Plus, their golden retriever and Mimi (the small dog) were both so well-behaved. Many thanks again to the owner for their wonderful service and good cheer during our stay.

This guesthouse is genuinely fantastic! The cleanliness absolutely exceeded my expectations. The rooms, courtyard, and common areas were spotless. The bedding was dry and odor-free, and even the bathroom corners were meticulously clean – the attention to detail was truly impressive. The environment is serene and elegant, with great views from the courtyard. It's quiet and healing, and stepping outside immediately brings you to beautiful mountain scenery, perfect for effortless photos. The overall atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. The owner's service was warm and thoughtful. They were very responsive to any requests and treated us with genuine care and consideration, even patiently sharing travel routes. It felt just as warm and welcoming as staying at a friend's house. Although breakfast was simple, the ingredients were fresh and warming, giving us plenty of energy before heading into the mountains. I especially want to praise their local specialty hotpot! The ingredients were authentic and plentiful, and the broth was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Eating a pot of it on the plateau warmed us right to the core – you absolutely *must* try it when you're here! Whether you're traveling solo for a break or with companions, this place is definitely worth revisiting. It's my top choice when visiting Siguniang Mountain!

The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are comprehensive. The smart toilet and the separate wet/dry bathroom are great. The room even has a humidifier, which is a thoughtful touch. The toiletries are high-quality. The room itself is large and very clean, and the service is good too; they even helped with our luggage, which was really warm and exceeded our expectations. The location isn't very prominent; it's a bit tricky to navigate on the second street up from the scenic area. I recommend contacting the owner in advance. The owner is very welcoming and enthusiastic, and happy to answer any questions you have. It's a place that makes you feel very warm and welcome. A really great place!

Very friendly ladies running this comfortable and affordable hotel. In a quiet part of town and with a very cute golden retriever. Room has floor heating and electric blankets. Be careful with leaving your luggage on the floor at night as the floor can get quite warm! The location is a bit far from the valley ticket office (as far as we understood you have to go there to enter all three valleys). You can walk it in have an hour or pay a slightly overpriced but still affordable taxi. If you go hiking multiple days doing the same walk to the ticket office gets a bit annoying. Some lower stars for the service because the experience of asking for transport back to chengdu was a bit disappointing. We asked if there was a way to go to chengdu the next day at 5 pm (so we could still go hiking). They said they could arrange a car, but not at 5PM. They then suggested 8 or 9 am in the morning. We agreed, thinking to catch an early train to Kunming and relax in our next hotel. Next morning we packed and presented at the reception at 9AM to hear that the car was delayed until 11AM! We got some extra breakfast and returned to find out there was more delays (apparently the car drove from chengdu in the morning). We eventually left shortly after 12. Tbe car proceed to driver very dangerously, overtaking in blind corners and even in tunnels! We were left at the western outskirts of chengdu and had to ride the subway for an hour to catch the last train to Kunming, arriving exhausted after midnight.
