"Comfortable stay 😊
Nice location, very close to Na Baan pier, reachable by walking distance.. I reached the stay by google map and asked around 😀 since their entrance is quite hidden-- That's the beauty of it, like secret paradise ✨
I came here on my RD of work.. My weekend getaway..
The hosts are very friendly and helpful..
I'm quite needy, hehe
I need a certain color for my bed sheet, they provide.
I need hairdryer, they provide.
I need to rent a motorbike, they provide..
I need hot water, they have it ✨
For breakfast, I surely do eat a lot..
1 thing, the toilet flush tank is not working properly unless I fill the tank manually.. But other than that, it's a very comfortable and cozy stay 😊
I will definitely come back soon. Since it's only 3 hours away from Bangkok 😁"

Amazing
GGuest UserAs a backpacker, I've traveled to many places, but this spot truly made me feel at home. The rooms were spotless and the bedding was incredibly soft against the skin. At night, you literally fall asleep to the sound of the waves, which is fantastic for anyone with trouble sleeping. The rooftop viewing deck even thoughtfully provides cooking utensils, perfect for those who aren't used to local cuisine and want to cook their own meals. They even offer free eggs for guests like me who prefer a milk and bread breakfast, so you can fry your own! The owner, in particular, is incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions or requests from guests. My experience on Koh Larn these past few days has been the best since I started my Pattaya vacation. The fine white sand beaches, the jelly-colored sea, and the friendly guesthouse owner all left a deep impression on me. If I ever come back to Koh Larn, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. Goodbye, my friends on Koh Larn!
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are several issues with the management system that need improvement.
First, regarding room cleaning procedures: at most hotels and accommodations, the front desk keeps a spare key or key card so housekeeping can access rooms for cleaning when guests are out. At this property, guests are required to hang their room key outside the door until housekeeping finishes cleaning, sometimes as late as 2:00 PM. This is a serious security concern because anyone could potentially access the room while the key is left unattended outside.
Second, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with good soundproofing, this hotel may not be the best choice. Noise from outside the room is easily heard throughout the day and night.
Last night, shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a very loud group of people. When I went outside to investigate, I saw a group of guests drinking in the restaurant area located directly next to my room. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep. I politely asked why the restaurant was still open, as I had been informed during check-in that it closed at 10:00 PM. The guests told me that a staff member had opened the restaurant for them. I then politely asked them to lower their voices because my room was right next to the restaurant.
I do not blame the guests at all. The responsibility lies with the hotel staff, who allowed the restaurant to be used after midnight despite the clearly stated closing time of 10:00 PM.
Areas for improvement:
1. Guest safety and security — Guests should not be required to leave their room keys hanging outside their doors for housekeeping.
2. Enforcement of hotel policies — If the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, that rule should be consistently followed. Future guests staying in rooms near the restaurant should not have to endure loud noise until 1:00 or 2:00 AM as I did.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but better management and stricter adherence to its own policies would greatly improve the guest experience.
GGuest UserWe stayed on Koh Larn for two nights after a long time in Pattaya and before heading back to Bangkok.
Samanta by the Sea was a great find, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The room was a great size, and it was even better that the hotel was only 5 min (walking) from the pier.
We were greeted by the owner and shown around. His friendliness and happiness were astonishing and so genuine.
Getting free noodles, bread, and coffee 24/7 was a lovely touch, too.
We can only recommend Samanta by the Sea and will stay here heapily again.
CCoco daniThe hotel is very clean and hygienic. The manager was very kind and answered my questions with sincerity. The restaurant and the place he recommended were also very good. The breakfast of the hotel was clean and nice. I achieved both relaxation and healing. I live in Pattaya, so I would like to make a reservation again when I visit again
MMs YuemingThe appearance largely matches the promotional pictures, but it's absolutely not worth the price.
1. The water pressure in the bathroom is extremely low, and hot water supply is delayed, making it very difficult to shower. Adjusting the water temperature is a nightmare – it's either too cold or too hot, and there are no markings for hot and cold taps, haha. It took us a whole day to figure it out.
2. The hot water tap on the bathroom sink was broken; we couldn't turn off the hot water. Every time we washed our hands, it was scalding hot, which was extremely annoying.
3. Breakfast consisted of fried eggs or poached eggs, along with two pathetic slices of bread, and the sausages were terrible. The breakfast was truly awful.
4. It's close to the pier, but the view is minimal, blocked by other buildings on the left. In the mornings, there's quite a bit of speedboat noise and petrol smell.
5. The scooter rental fee at the hotel is 1.5-2 times higher than outside. There's really no need to rent from the hotel.
6. As soon as you request a late check-out, they immediately ask for more money. While the principle isn't wrong, the hot water facilities in the room were particularly infuriating.
GGuest UserThe hotel and its location are excellent, the rooms are modern and clean, we loved everything. We'd like to extend our gratitude to the hotel staff member with the wonderful name Antra for the amazing service she provided, both at the bar and throughout the hotel. The most surprising thing was how she managed to be everywhere, getting everything done so easily and quickly. We originally booked the hotel for one night, but we didn't want to leave, so we extended our stay for another day. Thank you, I highly recommend it, we will definitely be back.
DDouglas Mc DougallNice location near the pier, although you need to wind between some alleyways.
The view, as shown in the website photos, is not quite what you get.
Lovely breakfast, made to order.
Room and bathroom are both clean and comfortable.
Scooters are available for hire at the premises.
GGuest UserGreat little place. Short walk to harbour town for ferries, restaurants, market and bus stop to go to beaches.
Friendly owners, helpful, generous and friendly.
Room was ideal but basic. Large fridge, big comfy bed, hot shower and balcony. Fresh towels, toilet paper and toiletries every day. Loved it...and went back after travelling a bit.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 11 days, during this time the room was cleaned twice, when the water/toilet paper/coffee ran out we had to beg the owner. The hotel is 2.5 km from Monkey Beach, 700 meters from Bali Hai Pier, there are many cafes/shops nearby. You can ask the owner for a bike (300) and a taxi (100). At night the music from the cafes is blaring, everything would be fine, but the singers are tone-deaf. It's nice to sit outside, but there are a lot of flies, ants and mosquitoes.
The garden is beautiful in autumn,
GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the pier. Check-in is strictly at 2 PM. However, you can leave your luggage and head to the beach, rent a sun lounger for 100 baht and stay there all day, as they say, but only until 4 PM. The area is beautiful, of course, with azure waters. There's a 7/11 near the hotel. You can rent a bike for 200 baht, also said to be for the whole day, but we didn't try it. What I want to say about the hotel itself is that we paid around 4-something for it, but it's not worth the money. Upon check-in, it was quite dirty, and the towel smelled awful; they replaced it with a clean one. The room has soap, shampoo, body wash, two bottles of water, and that's it. There are also two doors leading to different parts of the hotel. In the morning, I woke up to something crawling terrifyingly from one part of the room to another and got incredibly scared. A little later, I realized it was something running on the ceiling. After that, I couldn't fall back asleep. Thank goodness my husband woke up, and I felt a bit calmer.
