Baoding Lihao Hotel (Chaoyang North Street Baobai Shopping Plaza)

I rarely write hotel reviews, but this place is truly the 'Haidilao' of hotels! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. A security guard helped me with my luggage upon arrival. They offered a stomach-soothing tea when I checked in and delivered a sleep kit before bed. When I checked out, they even gave me a farewell gift with tissues, an apple, and water. The front desk lady was so beautiful and enthusiastic, wishing me a safe journey – it was incredibly heartwarming! The driver even cleaned my windshield and rearview mirrors. I really hope this hotel continues to thrive and operate for a long, long time!

After seeing a video of this hotel on Xiaohongshu, I booked it without hesitation, and it turns out that was an excellent decision. First, when we arrived by car, the doorman (the slender gentleman on duty on the afternoon of December 27th, special shoutout to him!) was incredibly enthusiastic. He guided us to the spacious parking lot and even helped me with my luggage to the front desk. There, the front desk staff (special shoutout to all the ladies!) immediately offered us warm, delicious stomach-friendly water and politely and thoughtfully checked us in. Not only did they upgrade our room type, but they also gave my child a beautiful little bracelet (they even asked if it was a boy or girl, now that's attention to detail!). Someone then escorted us to the elevator. The lovely lady offering the service originally wanted to take us all the way to our room, but we politely declined. Upon entering, the room was spacious and even had welcome fruits. Kids' amenities were already in the room. We requested a single quilt, and the housekeeping department delivered it within minutes of contacting the front desk. Breakfast the next day was also good. When we left, they even gave us a 'peace and safety' goodie bag. Every step of our stay was fantastic! It was comfortable and reassuring, and we felt warmly and thoughtfully served – a truly delightful experience. Additionally, the room was equipped with various disposable items, and there were many more available near the front desk, all showcasing the hotel's meticulous attention to detail. Oh, and 'Late-Night Congee' was available – a bowl of warm congee was a heartwarming touch on a winter's night! They even helped clean our car windows, which we greatly appreciated. Not only will we return and stay here again in the future, but we'll also recommend it to our family and friends. A pleasant journey isn't just about daytime sightseeing, but also a good night's sleep, and this place delivers wonderfully.

I've stayed here many times, and for the past two years I've chosen this hotel every time I'm in Baoding, bringing many colleagues with me each time. Local friends have also repeatedly advised me to try other hotels nearby, saying they're quite good, but based on my trust and positive experience with this hotel's service, I haven't chosen any other places. But this time, I was truly shocked! The bathroom door in the room was broken; it required a lot of force to close, and it made a loud banging noise! ​​I can understand that the room facilities are old and damaged, but the hotel's solution was extremely unprofessional. They told me that repairing it was very troublesome and difficult, and that I should just use more force and make do... I really can't understand it. Has the sincere and high-quality service I remember from Lihao Hotel fallen apart?
