Amazing
XXueditanzhaoWild Coast Tented Lodge - Relais & Châteaux is located near Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. It is close to the national park boundary and within walking distance of the beautiful coastline. It is a great choice for wildlife viewing and getting close to nature.
The hotel is famous for its unique tent-style suite design. These Cocoon Suites are very comfortable and creative. During the stay, the hotel also thoughtfully provides free postcards to write to friends and family.
The wildlife tour of Yala National Park is also included in the room rate. The guide is very professional. In short, Yala National Park is full of peace, peacocks can be seen everywhere, from hummingbirds to eagles, from leopards to elephants, every sighting is full of surprises. The environment inside the hotel is also full of vitality, monkeys and lizards can be seen everywhere, and one day I even saw elephants walking in the distance on the beach. I really enjoyed it all.
The service of the hotel is impressive, and every staff member is friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included. Although the freshness of the ingredients cannot be compared with that of ordinary Relais & Chateaux hotels due to its location in the wilderness, the dining experience is still satisfactory in this unique environment.
GGuest UserOut of the 5 days I spent in Sri Lanka, this hotel was by far my favorite and the most satisfying! It's located right next to Yala National Park, sharing the same grounds as the Hilton resort, so you'll spot various animals quite often. We stayed in a jungle chalet, and it was incredibly clean! Both the AC and fan were very quiet.
Every staff member was so nice and friendly. We were able to pre-order breakfast boxes for our early morning safari, and on our departure day, since we were leaving too early for lunch (we had booked a full-board package), they even prepared lunch boxes for us to take on the road. The service was absolutely excellent! And the value for money is fantastic!! Highly, highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe feeling of vacation is full when you enter the hotel. The room is OK but there are a lot of bugs. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, Italian, Asian and buffet. There are some tourist restaurants around the hotel, which are not recommended. It takes about half an hour to drive to any restaurant that is worth your attention. When you check out, you should take a good look at the bill. There are several extra items such as turtle protection fees for no reason.
GGuest UserWe were staying in My Village as we wanted to experience safari (by third party) at Yala National Park. The area is a little more secluded but split into two sides where we put up at the rooms next to the pool. As it was raining every day whilst we stayed there, we didn't get a chance to swim but it looked great for cooling down. Our room was clean and great value. However what surprised us was the quality of food for dinner as it was prepared fresh upon order. Also enjoyed the packed breakfast they prepared for our safari. Only comment would be the number of insects and mosquitoes, but mosquito coils can be requested. Over all, a pleasant stay with efficient service and AC.
GGuest UserWe booked this at the last minute due to a change of plans and so just went by the previous reviews but we are so glad we did! It’s a small hotel but with lovely large rooms with private pools. We loved the sunset walk to the beautiful wild beach and our trip to Yala. We didn’t have any problems with wildlife in the shower and loved the feeling of being in such a natural environment. The real selling point of the hotel however is their staff and every one of them went out of their way to help us have a great stay.
Thanks again!
GGuest UserHidden away in the jungle, the hotel is beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in the king suite with our own pool and spa and it was the perfect spot to wind down after an active week of climbing, walking and safaris.
We happened to be the only guests on our night stay and everyone made it a lovely experience with taking us for a walk around the lake to see the local wildlife and cooking a bbq right outside our room.
Will definitely stay here again should I find myself back in Sri Lanka.
JJiajiatangbaoNo wonder the president cut the ribbon at the hotel's opening. It's probably the most luxurious and modern resort in Sri Lanka right now. Perhaps because I booked a pool villa, the room experience was indeed excellent. It's highly modernized. Even the outdoor breakfast area wasn't too hot. The staff are very attentive; in the evening, they proactively offered a blanket if they saw someone putting on clothes indoors.
Going to the beach is only allowed twice a day, and you must be accompanied by staff because wildlife passes through the national park. But it's definitely worth a visit; the scenery of the sand dunes and the sea of sky is absolutely stunning and magnificent.
ZZiyoudeyuThis was the largest room our family stayed in during the trip. Upon entering, we were surprised to find there were actually two rooms: one double bed, two single beds, and two sofas – it felt like it could comfortably accommodate several people. Our room was on the first floor, right next to a huge swimming pool, which was incredibly convenient. Due to time constraints, we only used it for about half an hour, but the water was very clean and the depth was just right. The hotel is located within a wildlife sanctuary, where we saw monkeys, squirrels, and other small animals everywhere, and even cows grazing peacefully by the pool – experiences rarely seen in hotels in China. The hotel is adjacent to the vast Indian Ocean, which is beautiful on a clear day, but unfortunately, the beach seems rather ordinary, and the waves are quite large. The hotel's à la carte restaurant deserves special mention; the food was excellent and reasonably priced, with the steak and grilled shrimp being particularly delicious. Breakfast can be had after the safari the next morning, but it ends at 10:30, so you need to be quick. The breakfast itself was quite tasty. Overall, it's a hotel worth experiencing.
JJIANZHONGHotel service is good, breakfast is good, ordering is not bad, live on the second floor with balcony, swimming pool in front of the building, very quiet, the birds in the night are very loud, go to Safari alone, you will be a chartered car, inform the hotel in advance to pack breakfast The cost of renting a car to other places is relatively high. The location is not on the street, it takes about 5 kilometers to walk to the lake. The overall is very good, very casual!
ААлексей ЛялинHotel is excellent, very beautiful rooms, though somewhere with wear, but it is small. Great beautiful garden. Service with 10 points out of 10, the administrator helped solve the issues, freely approved late departure. Residing at the end of the season and there was no one in the hotel except us. The beach is not suitable for swimming, stones, waves and depth, but a very beautiful place, and the hotel itself is located on the outskirts of a small town, so if you plan to stop here, change money in advance and plan transfers.
