GGuest UserThis place is a hidden gem. It is very tastefully and newly renovated, very clean, and I can’t say enough about how kind and accommodating all of the staff was. It’s just a few blocks from the beach, with many restaurants in walking distance. 5 stars! Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful!

GGuest UserNot often you find a little gem like Barefoot Bay.
The resort was in a great location next to the marina, beach and restaurants.
The hosts were lovely and super efficient providing a great service and local knowledge of where to eat and visit.
The rooms were spotlessly clean with a good selection of free coffees and teas, with a microwave and toaster.
We would definitely stay here again.

AAnonymous UserWhen I booked Pelican Pointe hotel, I knew it was an older property so I wasn't expecting anything grand, plus the price was super affordable! When we first arrived, the room was very spacious for my family of 5. It was like a semi suite, kitchen was separated from the beds but not closed off. It had 2 doubles and a futon fold out in the kitchen/dining area. It was clean but had a funky smell, having a small well stocked kitchen with fridge and microwave was useful. At first glance it was nice, the location is amazing, right across the street from Clearwater Beach and complimentary parking which is a bonus (I hate having to pay extra for parking, so that was really great considering the price). I thought we really scored with this find, until.....my son saw a gigantic bug in the bathroom, it turned out to be a cockroach!!! EEEEWWWWW!!!! Throughout our stay we saw a few more big roaches and a ton of baby roaches everywhere. We were scared to turn off the lights because as soon as you did, the roaches came out to play, really gross and a major turn-off!!!! We slept with the lights on needless to say. We didn't bother to say anything because if there are roaches in this room, chances are the entire hotel has it!
If it wasn't for the roaches, I would definitely recommend this hotel but I would never go back after seeing those nasty bugs. The hotel needs to fumigate and get rid of those roaches!!!!

GGuest UserThe room has a nice sea view and the breakfast is also very good. There is a private beach, where you can see a beautiful sunset at night. There are many shells on the beach and the white sand is also very soft.

GGuest UserOn the first night of our stay, the roof of the room was leaking. The staff came to see us right away, but we couldn't change the room when the room was full, so we waived the room fee for one night and notified us to change the room the next day. The house is old and the cleaning is not tidy, because there is only one staff responsible for check-in, check-out, cleaning the room and so on. He was nice, but he felt a little overwhelmed with so much work. The hotel is very close to the beach, and also provides umbrellas and beach chairs, which is very good. I came from Miami and felt that the beach here is better than Miami, the sand is fine, there are fewer people, but the sea is colder.
