Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed over Christmas and it was lovely for the kids. They were welcomed with gift packs full of mini-games, not just the normal colouring papers and pencils. They also have a Christmas workshop set up way before Christmas. The room was very nicely decorated with ample of space for crafting and small table for some drinks. The only downside was that many things had been used up and not refilled as the workshop opened a few weeks before Christmas. They also served milk in the workshop room, but I had concerns that the milk was there from the morning for the whole day and that it was not kept chilled, which might not be good for the kids to consume. The receptionists were very friendly.
SSailormoon2025A by Adina Canberra is a perfectly executed urban sanctuary in the city's core. Its stunning, award-winning architectural design by Bates Smart feels both grand and intimate, immediately setting a sophisticated loft-like tone. The apartments are a masterclass in smart, stylish living. The open-plan layout maximizes space, and the thoughtful inclusions—from the superb Dreamcatcher beds and quality Hunter Lab bath amenities to the in-room laundry and full kitchen—create a true home-away-from-home. The inclusion of a coffee machine with pods is a game-changer for a perfect morning.
Location is its superpower. Positioned at the Constitution Place precinct, you're not just in the city—you're at its vibrant epicenter. The hotel is embedded within a gourmet laneway, meaning world-class coffee (Redbrick Coffee) and dining (like The Meat & Wine Co.) are literally at your doorstep. Lake Burley Griffin and major cultural institutions like the National Gallery are a short, pleasant stroll away.
For an elevated experience, the ”Destination A” upgrade is worth considering for its prime views, minibar credit, and exclusive perks. Note there is a $20 nightly fee for the convenient underground parking, and some rooms may have a view of ongoing adjacent construction (it's wise to request a room facing inward). Service is consistently attentive, rounding out an experience that seamlessly blends hotel luxury with apartment freedom. It’s an exceptional choice for discerning travelers who value design, location, and independence.

Great
GGuest UserThe room was well-appointed, and the bed incredibly comfortable. The location is absolutely ideal; it's just a two-minute walk to Lake Burley Griffin, and both the Old and New Parliament Houses are within easy walking distance. As it was autumn during my stay, the seasonal scenery was truly delightful. The service was exceptional, and I had a very enjoyable night here. My only minor point of concern was the rather noisy air conditioning. I was also a little confused as to why, for a king-sized room, only one toothbrush and one bathrobe were provided.
GGuest UserKinda old worldish but not too bad.Biggest pain was the fire alarm which went off on a freezing winter morning about 7:30 am.. This by all accounts is a regular occurrence and not rectified; set off apparently by some guy smoking; 20 minutes of ******** announcements before we found out from another traveler that it was a false alarm.
Management kinda smiked sheepishlyand did bugger all.
Bathroom in our room was tiny and toiletries had to be collected from the front desk. 🙄
Had to lug suitcases up and downnstairs and at the front entrance. Kinda lame.
Guy working the dining room though on the breakfast shift was a bit of a diamond. After an ‘odd’ comment he myst have noticed I was unimpressed with the fire alarm ******** and went out of his way. A bottle of birthday bubbly was a classy touch by him. I’d stay there again because of him.
GGuest UserOur internet service wasn’t good / and shower had a little bit issues. The hotel solved it quickly . The hotel service is excellent. in the room it provide coffee machine / kettle - Italy good brand . Also I really like the shower gel / body lotion provided by the hotel - these all 5 stars hotel standard. It is highly recommended. The only thing I can criticize to the hotel is it should replace the shower head .
AAnonymous UserBooked last minute and had no issues. The minibar was also free, quite a lovely hotel. You can park for free if you want if you come at night and leave by 0830hrs.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe room is small but well equipped. The bed is comfy. The public area is nice. The library provides with free cold and sparkling water. It is so easy to bottle up the water before I head out for the day.
They also have a microwave and coffee machine. They provide complimentary apples which are crunchy and sweet. The $6 muffin is also good.
The neighbourhood is mostly government offices. The e Parliament House is in walking distance. However, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket. The photo was the view outside my room.
AAlijon02Overall, the hotel is good and comfortable. The room was clean, and the location was very convenient.
However, I was a bit surprised that there was no toothbrush or toothpaste provided in the room. For a hotel of this size and standard, I believe these basic amenities should be included.
In addition, there was no bathrobe or loungewear/pajamas available for use inside the room. Having these items would definitely improve guest comfort and enhance the overall experience.
In general, it was a pleasant stay, but adding these small details would make the service even better.
SShoneel KumarOverall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool.
However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was ”still not ready”. The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared.
It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard.
Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either.
Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement.

Very Good
GGuest UserDisappointing, I participated in the National AGM of the largest association in the world and the hotel ran out of one of the most popular tap beer and white wine, just one hour after the guests checked-in/arrived.
The hotel advertised 1 hour happy hour every day but the Op Manager staff the bar with only one bartender. Guests lining up for half hour to get the happy hour deal, to be told, ”sorry, the 'happy hour' is finished.
The AGM room lighting set up absolutely poor, hard to see and hear anyone, the committee having to re-organise the room.
If it wasn't for the every day cleaning the room and the breakfast service, I would have ranked the hotel less than 3 stars, at @ 279/night.
I have stayed at other properties in Canberra, such as Kurajong Hotel, for less money but for exceptional experience.
