My mother wanted to stay in a special B&B, but considering hygiene and transportation, we compared Guanghan or Dujiangyan, hotels or B&Bs for a long time. We chose Zhuangsheng Xiaoyue. First, we have a preference for Chinese gardens, second, it is very new, and third, the room is large. The check-in experience is very good. The housekeeper communicated in advance. As soon as we parked the car, we checked in smoothly. It feels like a hidden gem in the city. After visiting Sanxingdui, I was very tired. The air has been very good and the weather has been cool these days, and it has not rained heavily. The surrounding green rice fields are perfect for relaxing. I originally thought that the B&B was located in the middle of a rice field, so there would be a lot of mosquitoes, but the actual experience was okay, there were fewer mosquitoes than expected. There are many activities for my daughter, including making glutinous rice cakes, fishing for lobsters, picking vegetables, feeding lambs and rabbits, and catching fish in the rice fields. She likes catching fish. In the evening, we also cooked a plate of watercress fish, which made the whole family happy. GGuest UserThe location was in a small village outside of Mianzhu or Deyang. It was a beautiful place surrounded by farmland to the front and bamboo-covered mountains to the back. The staff were very helpful with our requests. We mainly communicated through translation app, as they did not speak English. The hot springs were available to us every day. You could easily walk or also ask for a buggy ride up to it. Some of the large hot spring pools were closed, we believe due to it being winter time. But there were still more than 12 hot springs open. If you are a westerner travelling here, don’t expect a cozy residents bar. There is a bar area but not that equipped. We did not try the hotel restaurants. We walked 1km or 2km into the village and had many cheap restaurant options and the locals were very friendly and accommodating with our lack of Chinese. The room had a torch also available, which made it easy to walk along the road when it was dark.
