GGuest UserThis hotel is located in a very friendly, small village. We stayed three nights and freely walked the village and the Tulous often being stopped by curious villagers to ask us where we are from. It’s clear foreigners are few and far between in this village but everyone was very welcoming. We have no complaints about the cleanliness, location or breakfast. The rooms and hotel itself are beautiful. If you are a light sleeper (like my friend) the babies crying in the next room or the child and father laughing and chatting in the other room till gone midnight might bother you. If you’re a deep sleeper like me, you’ll be fine! The hotel staff didn’t really offer much information to us initially. You’re kind of left to it. But when I added them to wechat they did answer questions we had and they cleaned the room when asked. For future reference here’s some information for foreigners who make make the journey.
We found two good restaurants in the village and there are small shops with basic necessities. You can arrange a car to take you to different Tulous driving distance away or you could just walk through the village and into neighbouring villages exploring the more authentic Tulous. To be honest, the “tourist” Tulous weren’t of much interest and didn’t take a single photo. The more authentic, natural, “left to their own devices” ones were much more appealing to us. You can’t get the typical shot from a hilltop of a small group of round Tulous here in this village but you can get so much more of an authentic small, relaxing, quiet village experience at your own pace. We had a driver from Xiamen airport - 3.5 hours there because he didn’t take the highway but the provincial road. On the way back to the airport we came via the highway and it was 2 hours. It’s quite far away but we think it’s very worth it if you go prepared. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. We booked this hotel, therefore the location based on the look of comfort and the fact we wanted traditional, with modern amenities so we could relax as well as explore. It ticked all those boxes.

YYouyayoumomoyuThe entire square Tulou building, Chaoyang Tower, has been transformed into a guesthouse. It retains many of its mottled walls, giving it a strong sense of history and rustic charm. The wooden stairs, hallway floorboards, and wooden doors all creak, which the kids found quite fun. It's truly pleasant to quietly listen to the birds, admire the distant mountains, and sip tea here.
We visited during Chinese New Year, and generally felt the festive cheer was a bit lacking. For example, the front desk didn't have any New Year's candies or similar treats (which, of course, isn't a requirement). The spring couplets by the entrance had also fallen off, and the ground floor was mostly deserted, feeling very quiet and lonely.
Breakfast was served at a different guesthouse, 'Duli', and it was absolutely delicious!
The room design had some inconveniences. The countertop next to the sink was quite low, making it uncomfortable to stoop down for makeup or other activities. Hanging space for clothes was limited, and the hanging rod felt a bit shaky, so we were hesitant to put too many items on it. In the duplex room, it got quite cold at night. While the upper level had air conditioning, the lower level did not, with only a heater in the bathroom. The shower water pressure was extremely low, and the storage water heater couldn't sustain hot water for long, leading to a very poor overall showering experience.
I'd recommend visiting on a weekday, as the prices are better value. It's acceptable for a short stay, but for a longer trip, I wouldn't advise it for anyone who enjoys taking proper showers.

CCindy501The room was large, very good, and the service was good. The experience of this stay was generally very pleasant. I must like the service at the front desk. The check-in speed was very fast and the attitude was very warm. The room was cleaned very clean, the bedding was comfortable, the sound insulation effect was better than I expected, and the night was very stable. The breakfast restaurant chef was best to wear a transparent mask to improve the food hygiene level. The elevator was labeled with a non-smoking label.

MM515564****My parents and I stayed and dined at Fuyu Lou, which is considered the grandest Tulou in the Tulou Prince Scenic Area. Our host, Ah Wen, was incredibly warm and attentive; he even picked us up and dropped us off at the village entrance, and treated us to a delightful tea tasting. The dishes prepared by the auntie were incredibly delicious, allowing us to truly savor authentic Tulou cuisine. The courtyard had a wonderful ambiance, becoming particularly stunning in the evenings when the lanterns illuminated. Our room was also very clean, and the high-quality toiletries provided were a nice touch. When my parents felt a bit chilly at night, the auntie, despite already having gone to bed, thoughtfully brought them extra blankets – we were truly grateful for her kindness! Having explored various other Tulou structures throughout the Tulou Prince Scenic Area, we unanimously agreed that Fuyu Lou stands out as exceptional in every aspect – its rich history, beautiful environment, and the wonderful host. We truly made the perfect choice! Our stay and dining experience at Fuyu Lou was undoubtedly the biggest highlight of our entire Fujian trip!

LlycbYongding Tulou, a destination I've long dreamed of visiting, truly lives up to its charm. It was perfect timing – spring was in full bloom – for a spontaneous trip. The guesthouse is conveniently located right next to the scenic area, easily reachable on foot. It offers all the essential amenities, provides dining options, and is very affordable. I highly recommend catching the Tulou light show; it's absolutely breathtaking!

There is a supermarket downstairs. There is a pedestrian street opposite the hotel. There are all kinds of local snacks and specialties. There is ample underground parking space in front of the hotel. It is a newly opened hotel, so the rooms are neat and clean, and the facilities and supplies are very good. Recommended to stay

GGuest UserA very satisfying stay experience. This homestay is quite large, with a large parking lot and restaurant. The location is very good, a few steps away from the Tulou Prince Zhencheng Building. The exit of the scenic spot was 600 meters from his house. We didn't let the car in the scenic spot until 4 pm. We parked the car in the parking lot next to the exit (free of charge). The proprietress drove to pick it up in time and was very enthusiastic. The boss introduced us to the tour route. Some villagers were drinking tea and chatting with the boss, and the boss's family was very good. At around 5 o'clock, we drove the car to the downstairs of the villa, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The proprietress burned a hand, caught chicken on the mountain, fresh vegetables picked in the field, and the kitchen was clean. After dinner, go to Zhencheng Building to watch a light show and a movie on the floor. If you walk about 2 kilometers from the entrance of the scenic spot to Zhencheng Building, you don't have to take the scenic car and pay the parking fee to live in this house, which saves money and effort. It is a very recommended homestay.

GGuest UserThis time I stayed at the Tujiawan Hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The quilt cover and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the hot bath was bigger than mine. I expected and the Hakka dishes in the restaurant next door were also delicious. The front desk sister Jiang is also very hospitable and talkative. In fact, this time from Malaysia to Yongding is to find roots. After talking to her, she was very happy to introduce me to the tour guide. After the tour guide took me to a lot of earth buildings, I found the ancestors by the way. In the evening, I returned to the hotel and met my sister at the front desk. We talked again before getting off work. She knew my hometown and was very happy to help me. I said that there were relatives who could help me find my hometown relatives. After about an hour, I received her good news, saying that there are relatives there. I will have people from my hometown to meet later. I am so excited and excited to receive her news.
