GGuest UserLoved this hotel was so reasonably priced was really pleasantly surprised beautiful clean room hot water was piping so was able to have lovely bath .. went on a freezing cold evening in feb but the heating was on the whole time was very hot and cozy .. lovely hotel would definitely recommend.. breakfast and all the staff excellent
MMPocharaThe hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly helpful with their recommendations for local attractions. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Overall, this was definitely the best hotel I stayed at during this trip.
GGuest UserMy stay at the Marriott Leicester was genuinely enjoyable and exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially liked the calm atmosphere—it felt like a proper break. The location was also ideal, close to Fosse Park and the motorway, but still peaceful. Overall, the Marriott Leicester felt like a perfect mix of comfort and class.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! 10 minute walking distance to the theatres and shopping areas.
The facade is clean and appealing and on entering the building, the bar/restaurant area really provides a wow factor.
I had a double room which were two single beds pushed together, so there was no room to stretch out.
The kitchenette doesn't come with washing up liquid or a sponge, so I was a little confused as to how I was supposed to clean up.
The toilet was lovely, but having lifted the toilet seat, the toilet bowl was filled with yellow liquid. Easily solved with flushing.
The shower was glorious I didn't want to get out.
The rooms are not sound proofed so if you are a light sleeper like me, make sure you take your ear plugs.
On the whole I paid £80 for the room on Trip, other sites were charging £140 so I do think I got a good deal. I paid for what I got.
PPaigntonWhat a little gem!
The decor was superb. It has a pub that does meals so you don’t have to go anywhere once you have checked in if you don’t want to.
The breakfast was lovely with a good selection
Would definitely book again
SSoe SoeCould not sleep well as air conditioning does not work in entire hotel. Provided us with fans but the windows are locked and the whole room was hot with fan causing hot air inside.
My room basin has a large crack across and I need to report as soon as I check in and saw in case - charge me without my fault ..it made me busy after check in going up and down as no telephone in the room …they refused to change the room but admitted it happened previously , they don’t repair it and gave the room to me and did not explain what was inside !
Breakfast is good but finish at 9:30 am and if you are late , will miss breakfast.
Ssha_chThe lady at the reception was amazing, had power issues in the first allotted room, in a quick time frame maintenance guy reached and they also complemented me with breakfast. Quick and efficient management!
TTahera NI had to wait a little at the beginning as for some reason my booking wasn’t showing on their system. However I was given an upgraded room due to this. The first room smelt of cannabis and the edge of the bed metal piece was sticking out with shower gel half empty. Therefore I was given another room which was in excellent condition, it was a lot bigger with a massive TV screen. This hotel’s bathroom had a hair dryer and a hair straightener too. They also had an ironing board. The person at the reception was very friendly, smiled no matter what and even offered tea whilst I was waiting. Some of the rooms had good views example you could see the Leicester wheel.
GGuest UserThe soundproofing is very poor. When the door next door is shut loudly, the wall by my bed actually shakes. It has startled me awake several times.
The ventilation system is also inadequate. Cigarette smoke from other rooms drifts into my bathroom and bedroom, which made it impossible for me to sleep all night. Opening the window did not help.
There was dust on the bedsheets, and there were biscuit crumbs on the chair.
