Amazing
GGuest UserAs i was attending a funeral of a dear family member, I was very pleased with the location and more importantly the cleanlines and stress free stay at the orchard hotel. My room was very spacious and clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful in every aspect. The food in the restaurant was above par and well deserved. a trip to Nottingham would definatly warrant a further stay at this hotel. 5 star for definate and would certainly stay again. Thank you for a great stay
CChuddyGreat location and easy to find. Lovely surroundings and outdoor areas. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for famililes with children under 10 as the height of the upper floors with no real rail protection could make you nervous. Dogs were allowed which was great if you are looking for that. Inside communal areas great and free to roam. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Very industrial-themed buildings so, if you are looking for quaint, it aint for you! Would go again.
GGuest UserCheck in was very easy, paid for parking £18 a night, amenities and breakfast, evening meals all explained. Room was adequate for our needs. Limited storage space given a queen size bed. Bathroom was compact with all necessary linen supplied. Location of hotel was excellent for a short walk into town for shopping and entertainment.
GGuest UserNice hotel and pool club rooms have king size beds and good showers. I go to Derby often to visit and often need a place, although there isn’t many luxury hotels in the area, this one has nice jacuzzis and bigger beds and made for a good small stop.
AAngiePSo, the first night we were booked we had a room at the front of the hotel. Lovely clean comfortable room but the nightclub opposite played incredibly loud music until 3:30 am. The next morning we asked to move rooms which they were happy to do (but they must've known that those at the front would be disturbed until 3:30am). As we were out and about we just pooped back to move babe. We were in a smaller room at the side of the hotel so the music was barely audible, but when we used the bathroom in the evening, the basin tap was broken ,(top came away from the base) and needed quite a bit of manipulation to create a dribble of water. Too late to be bothered moving rooms again so we reported it in the morning. I'm sure the room cleaning staff must have known about this when they prepared the room. Don't know if breakfast or bar were available as nothing was mentioned at check in. A plus is that there's no charge for luggage storage (unlike the Ibis).
GGuest UserThe last night of leaving the UK to do a test stay here! Typical British family hotel, general hygiene, this room type bed is small, bedding is also general, temporary make do for one night is ok 😂😂😂 But I think unless special circumstances, Chinese people will not live here, live in the city center is not aromatherapy 😂😂😂
LLidiia KWell the hotel is alright, staff are very friendly, location is very good.
Spa didn’t seem nice so we wouldn’t go.
Our standard room was very small, though cozy.
AC wasn’t working, luckily got a heater from the reception.
Breakfast was tasty, but raw vegetables were absent (except for slightly cooked tomatoes).
It was noisy in the hotel, many people, but everyone was there for the New Year eve.
Parking is paid and costs 12 pounds a day - madness!
BBenjamin ArthurA lovely place. We we're a bit iffy on sraying due to the rating of the hotel but after reading the reviews most were about the rooms being dated. Since we were only planning to be there for a night, who cares?
There was an issue with the booking from Trip.com's side which the duty manager Declan was able to resolve in a timely mannor while also making the wait very pleasant with some nice chat.
The staff were lovely, including the two young ladys on the bar/food service as well as Declan. Unfortunately didnt get the girls names.
The building is stunning and surrounded by lovely woods, perfect for a walk.
Rooms are a bit dated, sure, but why are you looking to spend all your time in your room? More than enough to have a comfy sleep in.
Also as a side note on that, id imagine It's a listed building and so hard an expensive to update.
Overall a lovely night and a pleasant morning having breakfast then a walk. Absolutely would recommend.
TTenant11Location is great , but service can be improved. I put do not disturb and when came back to my room realised that it was serviced even though the was a tag on the door.
