Travelodge Nottingham Central

"A Great location, easy walking distance to Theatre Royal and Concert Hall where we were going for Disco Dynamite (I can highly recommend this). I booked early checkin for an extra £15 which is worth doing, leave your stuff in your room and go and explore. Reception is very small with a small bar at the side. Josh checked us in and he was super friendly and helpful. The room was on the 8th floor and it was very big. Big comfy bed and pillows, decent size bathroom with shower over bath, TV etc, plenty of plug sockets, everything you needed really, also a fan was provided. The room as others say could do with a refurbish as looking a bit dated but everything was clean. Not a very good nights sleep really as quite a lot of street noise from music and people but that just shows the central location. Take ear plugs. We didn't stay for breakfast so cannot judge that. Whilst there I left a cardigan/jacket behind on a chair and went to reception and they had it all ready bagged up for me. The lady on reception who helped me was so lovely. The only downside really is the lack of luggage storage, however the barber shop next door will store them, kept ours for 2.5 hours for only £4. All in all we will definitely stay again. The staff are so lovely, clean hotel and fantastic location."

Lace Market Hotel

"I booked a fairly large room on the second floor with a view of the church and street across the street. The furniture and curtains felt a bit old-fashioned, which I didn't like. The floorboards also creaked when I walked on them. On the day of check-in, they said the elevator was broken and didn't help with my luggage; luckily, I tried the elevator myself and finally got it upstairs. The breakfast was decent, with a buffet of drinks, bread, yogurt, and snacks, and you could also order eggs and a full English breakfast."

The Jubilee Hotel

"I naturally assumed, to my cost, that a modern looking hotel and conference centre would have air conditioning in their rooms. There wasnt. All that was provided on a boiling hot day was a pathetic fan that you could feel 4 feet away, even on highest setting. I had to give up and book into the ibis instead, eventhough it meant me losing the amount I paid"

Travelodge Nottingham Riverside Hotel

"First visit to Travelodge Nottingham Riverside. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location. Close to the city and shops. The interior of the hotel is quite dated but my room was in better condition than the reception/entrance. I had not stayed in a Travelodge for sometime and was surprised by the early check-in charge and also limited free wifi to only 30 minutes per day. The room was comfortable. However a low hum from the industrial estate nearby was a constant throughout. However my room was at the front so might be different elsewhere. The bathroom was fine but the shower drain did have a slight smell. The TV also only had a few of the freevirw channels. But you could use SmartView from your phone. My stay was only one night and comfortable enough. The staff are the highlight and if you can get a room for less than £50 per night then it is fine for a night or two."

Premier Inn Nottingham City Centre (Chapel Bar) Hotel

"I could not agree more with the review by SamBW. This Premier Inn is a disgrace. My room was cancelled this week and I was told to leave by two YOUNG members of staff who said that I was being aggressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was after I was ignored in the reception area for 15 minutes, there was no staff, the booking in machines did not work and they was no reaction to the staff buzzer what you press for attention. I walked into the Bar and Block restaurant to ask for help and you would have thought that I offended them due to the reaction on the guys face. Was I frustrated by the appalling lack of customer service, the ignorance and disrespect shown to me and did I express that directly? Yes I did. Was I aggressive, did I swear at them, was I abusive? No I was not. They had two young ladies who both told me to leave...they told me to leave and said I was not welcome.........!!! I asked to speak to the Manager and do you know what? She would not come down to speak to me and left this decison with these two young ladies who should be nowhere near a customer service environment. - You could not make it up, the Manager did not care either None of these ladies have obviously have not any customer service training, they were rude, disrespectful and ignorant and as i say, they should be nowhere near a customer service environment. This is the first time ever that I have experienced such a lack of disrespect from a hotel and I and my colleagues spend a lot of money in Premier Inns due to business but no more........that's it. I would strongly advise anyone visiting Nottingham which is a great city to keep away from this appalling hotel and find somewhere else which will treat you like a human being. Please give this a wide berth, the Premier Inn brand has been on the decline for many years and it shows in some of the people they employ, they do not care about customer service and nor do some of their managers. I am also still waiting for my reimbursement. Premier Inn - Please do not respond with your pointless "Sorry to hear this" your brand and your comments are irrelevant and you will have no interest in trying to resolve my complaint or discuss this with me in a professional manner"

"I arrived in the evening around 7.30pm after a table tennis event and was greeted warmly by the owner. He was friendly and quickly sorted my room out.. The room was very clean and tidy as described and the wifi was sound. Although there were other guests staying at the hotel, everybody was considerate and kept the noise a minimum. The bed was comfortable, hence I slept really well. The full English breakfast was very nice in a copy dining room for 18 people. Overall, my single room was value for money and I knew exactly what I was getting. I only saw one member of staff and I guess it was the owner, who made my stay a welcoming one. I couldn't take photo outside as I arrived at night and I had to rush off early in the morning."
