Outstanding
GGuest UserThe very warm and thoughtful service and rich breakfast will make you unbelievable that this is a great experience provided by a homestay! The wooden house in the tropical jungle is surrounded by the sound of birds and you can enjoy nature to your heart's content. The swings and hammocks at the door allow people to play as soon as possible. The sign at the door is not very obvious. There are several restaurants around, but I didn't find any restaurants that I was interested in.
CcamankimIt's located in a quiet area near Sigiriya...
You can walk to Sigiriya and Pidurangala in less than 30 minutes. The owner, Danu, his wife, and his parents were very welcoming, and the simple yet delicious food was impressive. A family of monkeys and squirrels in the trees right in front of the room kept us entertained. However, it's a bit disappointing that there are no restaurants or shops nearby.
GGuest UserThe forest cabin is awesome, a completely different experience, a bit similar to the lame building, one person lives on two floors, don't be too cool, the night pillow wind and rain listen to the insects and birds sing, comfortable 10086++ hotel side worried that I would be afraid, repeatedly confirmed whether to change the room, the service is very considerate!
In the evening, I also participated in the night visit to the jungle to explore Loris. It was fun and exciting. It was so interesting!
GGuest UserThe breakfast is delicious. There's a wide selection of fruit. It's within walking distance of Sigiriya Rock. It might be the closest hotel in the area. Perfect for a girls' trip! There aren't many rooms, so it seems like a small establishment. I stayed for three nights, and only saw two other guests. So, I got a good night's sleep. However, the walls were a bit thin, so noise echoed.
GGuest UserWe stayed here two nights to enjoy the two main attractions of the area. The boys are very available and the manager is a nice young man who can do it! The location is very quiet even though not very far from the rooms. The hotel is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very comfortable and it is very good.
AAlekseiConvenient location, 15 minutes to the main attractions of Sigiriya. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, delicious breakfast with a view of the rock. The price is great, we recommend. Thank you!)
RRMHarwoodThe staff were superb! They couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one.
The room was clean with plenty of space. Air conditioned and comfortable beds.
Breakfast was really good: fruit, roti, coconut pancakes, eggs how you want them, fruit juice, other bits too. Our table was hardly big enough to hold it all.
An excellent location to visit Lion Rock and several restaurants and bars within walking distance serving local and western options.
TtorinessThis is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.
JJohnnyMeschCeylon Retreat Sigiriya was perfection from start to finish. The place is truly in the middle of nowhere — and that’s exactly the magic. Absolute quiet, no noise, no chaos, just nature and peace. The staff were genuinely kind, warm, and always ready to help, not the forced hotel-smile kind, but real hospitality. And one non-negotiable: get the massage. No exaggeration, it was the best massage of our lives — the kind that completely resets both body and mind. If you’re coming here, don’t skip it. Some places you visit, some places you feel — this one stays with you.
GGuest UserA simple hotel, you can say almost in the woods. Road and noise minimum..
The owner, the boy Kumar and his daughters are very friendly, but there is one ”NO.”
The guy invited his wife to dinner. And there is a great suspicion that it was during this dinner from the room that the money was missing. During the dinner Kumar left from the table, his older daughter also disappeared.
It 's not 100%, but it 's better to keep the money with you.
The missing was found in a couple of days.
