Premier Inn Exeter (Countess Wear)

We loved the proximity to town and the fact the Beefeaters is next door, which is convenient. The lady in reception was nice. It was a pleasant place to stay. They could do with airconditioning and the hot water wasn't very hot.

This has to be the strangest layout I have ever come across at a Premier Inn - the rooms are spread out mostly on one level around a car park and the whole setup made me think of a nursing home / cottage hospital! However the room was fine and I slept well. The staff at reception were helpful and friendly. Beware of the step up into the bedroom.

Lovely clean room and very friendly staff at reception. On site Beefeater pub was great, food and service very good.

Went into room after work and found toilet to be full of urine, jumped into shower put my face in cobwebs and spiders crawling on ceiling and dead spider by shower head. Shower curtain pole is bent and falling down Came out of shower and found floor covered in dust and paper shreds. This room definitely hasn’t been cleaned and not to an expected standard. Got moved to another room which smells musty and no air conditioning just a fan which had 1cm of dust front and back and blades were filthy. Wouldn’t let boat folk stay here

Friendly, helpful staff Clean rooms and plenty of parking available. Great price for the location.

We stayed here as a group of four couples while attending a wedding. Unfortunately, two of our rooms were filthy and had clearly not been cleaned properly before we arrived. It was genuinely one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Normally, with Premier Inn, you know exactly what standard to expect, but this hotel fell a long way below that. I’ve attached photos showing the condition of the rooms, which speak for themselves. The rooms also had no air conditioning, and the small fans provided were nowhere near adequate, making them unbearably hot during our stay. The reception staff did their best to help and were polite and accommodating, so I can’t fault them. However, the experience at the Beefeater restaurant was the complete opposite. The staff there were rude, unhelpful, and made every request seem like an inconvenience. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and not the standard I would expect from Premier Inn.
