Premier Inn Exeter (M5 J29)

We stayed at the Premier Inn, as we had an event to attend in Exeter. It is a great position to get about. There is a Brewers Fayre next door, which is cheap and convenient. We stayed 2 nights and the parking was £16

Good place with restaurants around.

This hotel looked very run down from the outside, litter and takeaway boxes were strewn all around the exterior of the hotel. After checking in we were very disappointed to hear that the on site bar/restaurant IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!! We were not told this before our arrival so had to take the kids out for takeaway last-minute. (This probably explains all the takeaway litter lying around outside the hotel!?) There's no other pubs or restaurants nearby, so unless your happy with domino's, I would research very carefully before going to this hotel. Overall very disappointed compared to previous Premier Inn experiences.

No food option locally now as the restaurant has closed down. Another tired premier inn. Water issues in our room, temperature fluctuated and at times water flow cut off completely. Lots of out of hours noise as well n

Very pleasant staff, clean and well kept rooms. Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Overall a good experience

Location was great, overall decent. Disappointed with cleanliness, the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly prior to check-in, there were remnants of previous guests under the beds and traces of nail clippings around the room. Also, the only two options for refreshments were two out of order vending machines. I also find parking charges unfair, but to be charged with no EV Charging facilities is really poor. I know this is a private company, but it’s all part of the experience, which reflects on Premier Inn.

First room smelt like damp dog so was moved to another room . Bed like ironing board so my back and sides are killing and hardly any sleep . Only one of each flavor tea teabags and one coffee pod . Paid for premmier plus room shocking . The boy on reception said that's what it is with the tea bags . Air conditioner was making stupid noises .

Another nice, uncomplicated stay at the Premier Inn at J29, M5; good service, comfy bed and Wi-Fi - good food choices, though the chain of associated restaurants is going through a redesign and access changes in the near future, it seems likely to continue in a different form. We have been here several times, each a success.
