The service attitude of the catering department is really bad (note⚠️ I mean the dinner restaurant catering. The aunts who provide breakfast and cook flat meat rice noodles and noodles are super enthusiastic)! The story started when the hotel front desk informed that the restaurant was full that night (during the Spring Festival), but you can go to the restaurant to order dishes and have them delivered to the room. The waiter took us to the director of the catering department to order food. The director's reaction to the guests was to sit in his office chair and say, ”I'm busy and don't have time” (she can't even stand up in front of the guests, and can't do the most basic etiquette. How did she become this director? A relative?!) We didn't care much, and the waiter could only go to their manager. The manager gave us a menu. After looking at the menu, I found it a bit difficult (personal taste is used to authentic Cantonese cuisine, after seeing the mixed dishes on the pad). After the manager of the catering department heard me and my father say something, she suggested that if we feel that it is not suitable, we can go to the restaurant on the corner of the first floor. I thought, how could a four-star hotel have such a poor service in the catering department, especially during the Chinese New Year. The family had not been back to Yong'an for more than ten years. They went back happily to visit their relatives, but encountered such a bad thing. Afterwards, we also reported this situation to the hotel front desk, and the director of the housekeeping department also apologized to us (again, this matter has nothing to do with the housekeeping department), and proposed to send yogurt as compensation (I don't know if there is a tradition in domestic hotels to send yogurt to settle the matter, but we strongly refused), sister, I really don't need it. As guests, we are more inclined to believe that if this kind of catering service is not improved, it is equivalent to directly smashing the hotel's signboard, and a good housekeeping department will be implicated. Finally, we went to ”Xin Xiangfeng” for dinner. There is no harm without comparison. The catering service is enthusiastic and the dishes are well cooked. Next time I go to Yong'an, I will probably consider other four-star or above hotels. I'd heard about the new five-star hotel in Taining and was really impressed upon arrival! The hotel is built into the mountainside, with the lobby and restaurant on the 7th floor. The guest rooms all overlook the lake, offering lake views that cascade down the hillside, somewhat reminiscent of the Shanghai Sheshan Wonderland Hotel – very unique. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, with a large bathtub in the bathroom – I loved it! The bathroom also features a separate shower and toilet. It was a wonderful vacation with my best friend. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. The air conditioning was pre-set for dinner, making it warm and cozy in the freezing Taining. For lunch, we ordered a simple meal at the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the fried rice and the mixed fruit and pork belly – a perfect combination. The staff and chef even came to check on our preferences, which was very thoughtful. I forgot to take a picture of the afternoon's special 9.9 yuan coffee, but it was such a great deal! The coffee was authentic and incredibly fragrant, and it even came with a glutinous rice cake – such a high-value meal! They had no problems registering foreigners. rooms are spacious and clean, loved the cartoon feature for children. breakfast is what you would expect so far from big cities, tasty but more Chinese than western. Over all a very good stay, recommended if resting in the area before continuing your trip. So many different things to do around here you probably need more than 1 night.

A pretty good place if you want to be central to Ninghua County sights. Just one point I would like to make: we asked the front desk for a suggestion for a decent place for dinner. The woman on duty said she knew nothing about the area—so left us completely on our own to find a place. I view that as poor service by the hotel—failing to realize how much it helps customers who are new to a city if you can give them a few suggestions for where to eat.
