Summit Views Hakuba ★★★
"The hotel is located in a very central place and most of the restaurants, cafes are at a walkable distance. The rooms are pretty big when compared to other Japanese hotels and they have free onsen. The only downside will be hygiene, we found cockroaches in our shoes in the morning, two days straight."
Hotel Sierra Resort Hakuba ★★★★
"Everything was great!"
Hakuba Canadian Lodge ★★
"This hotel is beyond my imagination. OMG ! The place was so amazing I chose Chalet with my family member 8 persons. They really in love with the place and all speak the same that we will definitely come back again ! The owner has a service to bring you to the supermarket at 4 pm everyday. That's awesome we can do cooking and enjoy precious meals with our family. There are not many houses here so it is the best option for anyone who looking for the cozy places and can also enjoy the wonderful snowy view. Thank you Ms. Hana to take care of us along the stay ! :)))"
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel ★★★★
"I really love this place where’s good and peaceful place in green season"
Hotel Hakuba ★★★
"Both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options. There were many flowers near the entrance, and they were very well cared for."
Ringo Lodge Hakuba ★★
"all over is ok except the check out time is 9:30 too fast and the breakfast is also just 1 hour 7:00-8:00 and they focus to have at 7:30 it's mean we shave only 30 mins to have breakfast.."
The Happo by Hhg ★★★★
"It is very convenient, there is a ski equipment store at the door, Bafang Ski Resort is one kilometer away, and there are many restaurants nearby. However, the food in the hotel is really bad, and there is no bathtub."
Pension Serenade ★★
"The owner was very kind and even drove us to the bus terminal. The breakfast was delicious."
Reposer Hakuba ★★★
"Great! I loved it and want to go back every year. However, there were some Wi-Fi issues on certain days, and we couldn't contact the accommodation both before and during our stay."

Garden Pension Obergurgl
"The innkeeper was incredibly welcoming, and the retro ambiance was fantastic. Our stay was excellent, and the location is super convenient for Wulong Ski Resort. Every day, heading out to ski and coming back, the innkeeper would warmly greet us and chat, creating a really great atmosphere."
Restaurant & Hotel Traumerei
"Very good service, the clerk is friendly, the place is big"
Hakuba Hotel Ougiya
"Overall, I was very satisfied. If I have the opportunity to visit Hakuba again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. • The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the shared microwave and kitchen in the hallway were very convenient. • Towels and indoor wear were provided for free use, which was very helpful. • You can enjoy the view outside the window from the hot spring, allowing you to relax. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the water was too hot on the first day and we couldn't use the hot spring, but the next morning it was just the right temperature and we were able to enjoy a pleasant soak. Thank you!"
Hakuba Panorama Hotel
"Nice stay! Very friendly staff The view was so lit! Will surely come back for Ski"
Courtyard by Marriott Hakuba
"Dear Mr. Nakamura, I would like to take a moment to commend your front desk staff member, AWO, for her excellent service during our stay at Courtyard Marriott Hakuba. From check-in to check-out, she was consistently helpful and professional. In particular, she assisted us with booking a bus and later arranging a taxi, always handling our requests with efficiency and a warm attitude. Her support made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Please kindly pass on my appreciation to AWO. Thank you and your team for the wonderful hospitality."
Hakuba Pension & Log Hotel Meteor
"We stayed in the 7bedroom log cabin with our group of 14. Bedrooms were large and cozy with new bathrooms in each. The whole place has been renovated with a big kitchen and communal lounge with heaps of room for a large group. Great location with a 2 minute walk into town, close to restaurants, shuttle bus and convenience store. The Pensione next door who manage the log cabin looked after us so well and are super helpful dropping us to ski lifts, onsens and making reservations for us. Chika is an absolute legend and made our stay amazing. Would recommend this house to any large group and great for multiple families"
Square 8 Hakuba Retreat by Unplan
"Actually didn’t went here but we requested for a cancellation twice and the hotel didn’t get back to us."
Hotel Hakuba Hifumi
"We had a truly superb stay here in January. We stayed for 7 nights in the busy new year season for skiing and this place was wonderful. We didn’t have a private onsen in our room but it didn’t matter, the room was beautiful and comfortable and the private onsen available for booking was always available at a convenient time and was such a treat at the end of a long day skiing! The food is really excellent. Beautiful breakfasts every morning (we had both Japanese and Western style breakfasts, both delicious). We also had two dinners here and it was some of the best food we had in Hakuba! We were collected from the train station and dropped off on our day of check out at no extra cost. The location is perfect, 1 min from the bus to Happo One and 3 mins from the bus for all other ski fields. Special thanks to Yuko Beppu who was really wonderful, and who answered all our questions via email before we even arrived! Couldn’t recommend a stay here more highly, was a really special experience we will cherish for years to come!"
Hotel Oak Forest
"Affordable and great value for money. It has all the basic services, and the room is spacious. There's a shuttle bus that runs periodically, but it's more convenient if you drive yourself."
Gensen No Yado Maruishi Ryokan
"One of classical onsen ryokan with hot spring. Comfortable hospitalities with delicious fine cuisine with full of local dishes. Rice and all vegetables are freshly harvested from their own garden. Near by Happo-one rift riding spot, very convenient for trekkers and mountaineers. Highly recommended to international travellers, seeking full Japanese style local cuisine."
Hotel Goryukan
"The yoga classes held irregularly are the best. I've been going to Konami for over 10 years and have participated in yoga classes taught by various instructors, but in Ayako Bacon's yoga class, every movement is explained carefully, and at the end, my body feels refreshed and relaxed. If you have the chance, please try participating. The food, made with local vegetables, mushrooms, and wild plants, is also excellent. The hot springs are also great, allowing you to relax and soothe your fatigue."
Hotel la Vigne Hakuba by Onko Chishin
"Great and attentive service. Large rooms. Arranged a nice private teppanyaki dinner for us with an outstanding chef and wait staff."
Hatago Maruhachi
"This hotel promises a charming stay in a unique atmosphere with traditional Japanese architecture, and it absolutely delivers, if the goal was historical accuracy over modern comfort. While the interiors have technically been “renovated,” the experience feels more like a living museum exhibit titled “How People Survived Before Electricity and Heating.” There is no central heating and only a limited number of portable heaters are provided. Similarly, the dry room is inadequate being an outside structure with a literal barbeque as the heating device, a recipe for wet ski gear. Lighting was also minimal. Cleanliness, unfortunately, took a creative direction. The number of cockroaches found was hard to ignore. One even took the liberty of crawling across a pillow, which was an interesting way to be welcomed. For a country renowned for world-class hygiene, this was a truly unexpected cultural experience. On a good note, the staff were polite and unfailingly apologetic. Sadly, they appeared to be very junior and entirely unable to resolve any issues, serving mainly as emotional support. In summary, perfect for travellers seeking a dark, cold, and spontaneous insect encounters. Anyone expecting warmth, cleanliness, or basic comfort may wish to look… literally anywhere else."
Marukin Ryokan
"I stayed in early October, and the hotel was sparsely populated. The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the onsen was excellent, with a window overlooking a small garden. The room was traditionally decorated, had everything you needed, and the futon was very comfortable. I was very happy with everything! If I come back to Huckabee, I'll definitely stay here!"
