"A surprisingly good hostel for a cheap price in Amritsar! It's located on a narrow street, just a short walk from any public transportation stop. A large sign with the name makes it easy to find. The entrance has large glass doors (locked from the inside at night). You need to take off your shoes and leave them in a small hallway (like entering a temple 😁). At reception, you'll be greeted by a very polite and smiling manager, Ram, dressed in Sikh guise—with a beard and turban. The rooms are dormitory-style. I had a mixed-gender room booked (unbeknownst to me), but I paid only 100 rupees extra and was assigned a three-person/bedroom for women. No one else checked in, so it felt like I was in a private room. In the morning, Ram helped me carry my luggage down a narrow street and negotiate a location with a taxi driver over the phone in Punjabi (I'd called an Uber myself), and I left for the airport. I'm very grateful to Ram for his kindness and help. By the way, the hostel is located next to the Golden Temple, a 10-minute walk away. I highly recommend it 💯"
