"The room was spacious. The butler provided directions via WeChat and met us at the hotel parking lot. The road to the hotel was a bit narrow and steep, requiring some driving skill. The hotel's design was simple yet warm. The room's underfloor heating had a problem; the temperature couldn't be adjusted and remained at 19 degrees Celsius. We prefer 22 degrees Celsius, and the butler promptly brought a heater. Bottled water from Baishui Mountain was provided; we could contact the butler for refills."

"The receptionists were all very nice. The pet-friendly nature of the B&B is a big plus! We came from Chengdu to escape the summer heat, but we didn't expect Kangding to still be a bit hot at night, so it was a bit stuffy at night. If you can't stand the heat, just ask the owner for a fan. For the rest, there's a douche bag. They also offer fruit, ice jelly, and small cakes. If you're bringing your pet, this place is a great choice. 👍 It's within walking distance of downtown Kangding!"

"The price wasn't cheap at all, but the service was terrible. The breakfast porridge, milk, and vegetables were mostly cold, and all the used plates were left on the table without anyone clearing them. We finally got someone to clean them up before we could sit down, but the plates on other tables were still uncollected. There weren't enough clean plates and cups for breakfast either; when I went to get some, there were only two left. I couldn't find the cups either, probably because they were all on the used tables. I can only say that spending nearly 800 yuan specifically for breakfast for two was a total rip-off; it was worse than the hotel I stayed at for just over 300 yuan the first night."

They helped us with our luggage, delivered dinner to our room, and even made extra breakfast for two people, which they also brought to our room. A special thank you goes to Silang and Xiao Yang. Before checking in, they proactively contacted us, sent the hotel's location, and inquired about our arrival time and needs. After checking in, they learned we were experiencing altitude sickness and promptly delivered an oxygen machine. The next day, Silang personally drove us to the scenic area entrance and then drove us to a restaurant in the city for dinner. The service was incredibly thorough. The breakfast was also delicious."

"This is absolutely a top-notch hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality touches in every detail and thoughtful decor. It's a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The hot spring is also excellent; the water is clean, and the environment is beautiful and peaceful. The dining experience is great too; Old Li from the restaurant warmly welcomes every diner, making everyone feel right at home. There's also a particularly tall and handsome young man, sometimes in the restaurant, sometimes in the hot spring area. He's very striking and impressive, likely the legendary Kham man. All the staff here are very good-looking, which is a pleasure to see."

"Very new property, everything is clean and well supplied. They have a great coffee set-up.The staff is young and eager to please, they were the high point of my two-night stay. The location can be a bit of an issue. The property sits on a hillside above the main center of the town. Cars have trouble navigating the narrow, one-car-at-a-time streets. And sitting at 2000 meters altitude, you'll be stopping to catch your breath more than once. Grab the hotel's card and use taxis to do your sightseeing. Good value and would recommend."

This B&B is a truly magical place for photo opportunities. 📍Location: Gung Nong Village, Ganzi.
Directly facing the Yala Snow Mountain, with breathtaking grassland views and stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, every window is a frame, making every shot a masterpiece. At night, you can even use the terrace to capture the starry sky and snow-capped mountains with long exposures.
The room has floor heating and air conditioning, and the 270-degree snow-capped mountain view is right before your eyes. The housekeeper was incredibly attentive, providing afternoon tea and warm milk. The food at the B&B exceeded expectations, and the matsutake mushroom and chicken soup hotpot was truly delicious. If you're in Gung Nong Village, Shanyu is a great choice. The scenery is breathtaking. [Highly recommended]

The location is less than 10 min walk from Tagong gompa where public buses and shared taxis are available. Between the gompa and the hotel, you can find some ******* or Sichuan restaurants.
The facility is quite decent and well maintained. Especially, ******* decoration is awesome.
Also, staff members are quite helpful. Though they don't speak English, they took care of me ranging from transportation to food.

GGuest UserThe B&B is right next to 318, but not on the highway. Instead, it is in a yard a few dozen meters back from the highway. There are a few houses in front of it, which just blocks the noise from passing cars on 318. Parking is easy, almost all rooms face the distant mountain view, and the rooms on the first floor are not damp at all and have no odor. The appearance of the homestay is unremarkable, but the rooms are eye-catching: 1. The standard rooms are large enough, with bright windows, blackout curtains, and rich three-dimensional light sources. 2. Very clean and tidy. 3. The bathroom is spacious, with dry and wet areas separated. Two people can take a bath at the same time. The hand sanitizer is much more convenient than a piece of soap. There is plenty of hot water, and they thoughtfully provide free disposable toilet seats. 4. There are many sockets in the room, enough for two people to use various electronic devices. The ******* proprietress is friendly and enthusiastic.
The restaurant is on the third floor and the kitchen is very clean and tidy. The prepared breakfast includes butter tea, porridge, steamed buns, pickles, and eggs. It is quite pleasant to sit by the window and eat breakfast while enjoying the scenery outside. Having written so much, it seems that I am really satisfied.

882hunsamaThe room was genuinely spacious, and the double bed was impressively large – a great choice for those who appreciate ample space. The mattress comfort was only average, and the pillows were a bit of a letdown, being overly soft and fluffy and offering little to no neck support.
Hotel service was excellent. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were incredibly warm and accommodating. Extra requests, like additional toothbrushes or blankets, were promptly delivered. The housekeeping staff even helped put on the duvet cover for the extra blanket, a thoughtful gesture as some hotels expect guests to do this themselves.
The room offered a nice mountain view from the window. However, small bugs were quite prevalent, which I found a bit unsettling. The stick-on window screen had started to peel off, leaving gaps and allowing insects in.
The bathroom was also very spacious and featured a smart toilet. However, the hot water pressure in the shower was quite low, which wasn't very refreshing. A full set of disposable toiletries was provided.
Breakfast, served until 9:30 AM, offered a decent variety, including bread, porridge, milk, fruit, and a mix of steamed and fried options. However, freshly cooked noodles or vermicelli were not available. The dining area wasn't very large, so it's best to avoid peak hours.
Free and ample parking was available.

GGuest UserI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive.
So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city.
The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.

When I first arrived at the hotel, fatigue from the long journey was written all over my face. Manager Zhang seemed to see through my tiredness at a glance. He came up to me quickly with a friendly smile. He not only arranged for someone to help me complete the check-in procedures quickly, but also thoughtfully served me a cup of steaming local specialty tea. The rich aroma of tea instantly dispelled my fatigue from the journey and made me feel good about this hotel. He personally led me to the room and patiently introduced the hotel's facilities and services to me along the way, from the restaurant's opening hours and dish features to the different types of pools and opening hours in the hot spring area. Every detail was explained in great detail, as if I was not a first-time guest, but an old friend who had returned home after a long absence.
Walking into the room, the warm and comfortable layout is eye-catching. The decoration in the room combines the ethnic characteristics of Kangding with modern simple style, with harmonious colors and neatly arranged furniture. The bed is soft and tidy, and there are exquisite small ornaments placed at the bedside, demonstrating the hotel's pursuit of quality. After learning that I came to Kangding to enjoy the beautiful scenery, Manager Zhang specially prepared a detailed Kangding travel guide for me, which marked the location, opening hours and travel suggestions of famous attractions in the surrounding area, and even recommended some niche check-in spots that only locals know about. This undoubtedly added more surprises and expectations to my journey.
When it comes to the core feature of the hotel - hot springs, it is even more praised. The hotel's hot spring area is uniquely designed, with indoor and outdoor pools neatly distributed among the garden landscape. There are many types of hot springs, including Chinese medicine hot springs for health preservation, flower petal hot springs for soothing the body and mind, and massage hot springs for complete relaxation. The water temperature is suitable, the water quality is clear, and it is rich in various minerals that are beneficial to the human body. Each hot spring pool is equipped with ample towels, drinks and comfortable lounge chairs, allowing people to feel the meticulous care while enjoying the hot springs. Here, I can relax myself to my heart's content, let the warm spring water soothe every inch of my muscles, wash away the dust and fatigue of the journey, and immerse myself in this tranquility and comfort.
The hotel's dining service is equally excellent. The restaurant's dishes are mainly local specialties, with fresh ingredients and fine cooking. Whether it is the fragrant yak beef soup pot or the unique-tasting barley cake, every dish is unforgettable. During the days in Kangding, the weather was changeable, sometimes sunny and sometimes drizzling. I remember one day, I had planned to go out for a trip, but it suddenly started raining heavily. Just when I was feeling a little overwhelmed in the hotel lobby, Manager Zhang appeared again like a timely rain. Not only did he provide me with rain gear, he also helped me re-plan the day's itinerary based on the weather conditions, recommended some attractions and activities suitable for indoor visits, and thoughtfully arranged for the hotel's vehicle to pick me up. His care and concern made me feel extremely warm and secure in this strange city.
During my time at Kangding Hot Spring Hotel, I gained not only a comfortable accommodation experience, but also wonderful memories.
