It's good to live here in Nanshan! I lived in two room types, and I personally preferred the frost room. The bed was hard and comfortable to sleep.
Facilities: Electric water heater has sufficient water volume, living room, tea room, halal kitchen. Sound insulation deviation, afraid of noisy living on the second floor room
Hygienic: The towels and sheets are very clean, the owner is a minority, the hygiene is very clean, rest assured
Environment: very quiet, very comfortable
Service: Sister Yuan is very enthusiastic, driving me to the snow field, introduced me to many good places. It is very fair to send 15 snow field trips. You don't know how dark the black car is here.

The proprietress of this homestay is too polite. I booked the room in August. The proprietress called me 4 times. I didn’t receive it. Not only did she not refund my order because she didn’t contact me, she also booked for us a group of rooms and rushed from Urumqi to the homestay to wait for us. It's so moving!
After arriving at the homestay, the proprietress said that the room can be picked by us, and it can be replaced with a larger one. Later, we felt that the original room was smaller and not so cold. The proprietress brought the local apples to invite us to eat. It was really warm!
The room has a big bathtub, but because it is too cold, we did not enjoy it, a pity! 😄
In short, this homestay is worth coming again!

Anonymous UserEnvironment: The environment is good and hygienic, the decoration is very distinctive, and the leisure and accommodation are integrated. The room is relatively large and spacious, but the quality of the projection is not very good, and many programs cannot be played on demand. There is also a place for parking which is more convenient.

The room was very clean and the service was very attentive. I wanted to ask the B&B to order medicine in advance because I had a stomachache, but I didn't expect them to prepare it carefully. I was very touched. The layout of the store is very stylish. Next time I come to Xinjiang, I will come here again. The cats and dogs are super good-tempered and very cute.

Guest UserThe guesthouse rooms were clean and tidy, and there was even a café and bar in the courtyard. All the facilities were complete, and they even had two adorable sled dogs—so well-behaved and affectionate! Beautiful scenery and delicious food 🍜—a perfect start to the day! It's only five minutes from the ski resort, and the handsome owner was incredibly welcoming 😊, providing transportation to and from the resort and answering all our questions. A very satisfying stay during my ski trip; I'll definitely stay here again next time! ♥

Anonymous UserThis hotel is one of the better decorated in Nanshan District, Urumqi. The room has floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view of the mountains, and the stargazing at night is fantastic. I also really like the interior design. The courtyard downstairs is small and beautiful, and there's a reading nook on the second floor where you can read, relax, study, or work.
One drawback:
1. The room is on the second floor with floor-to-ceiling windows. People standing on the adjacent stairs and on the rooftop can see directly into the room. People on the ground floor looking up can also see in when they're near the window, leading to a few awkward eye contact 😅. My husband was hesitant to take off his clothes in the room, or he had to sacrifice the beautiful view by drawing the curtains. We'll try a different room type next time.
2. It's been very hot in Xinjiang lately, and the room didn't have air conditioning. We didn't think much of it, assuming Nanshan would be cool at night. We arrived around 5 pm, and a wave of heat hit us as soon as we opened the door. I guess the floor-to-ceiling windows are too big to insulate properly. We quickly opened the windows for ventilation. There are two small windows on either side of the floor-to-ceiling window, but only the right one had a screen, so we only opened that one to keep mosquitoes out. The ventilation wasn't very noticeable. We returned to our room around midnight after watching ”A Date with Kunlun.” It was already quite cool outside, but the room was still incredibly stuffy; it felt like the daytime heat hadn't dissipated at all. We lay in bed until after 1 a.m., but it was unbearable. The child was also too hot to sleep, so we made a makeshift bed under the only small window that could be opened. We felt a slight breeze and finally managed to fall asleep. We mentioned the room's heat to the owner before leaving, and they expect it to improve. If things get better or cooler, I'd be willing to stay again, especially since stargazing at night is beautiful.
The breakfast was also excellent. Although simple, it was made with care. The apricot jam seemed homemade and was delicious.

Our stay at Maowo Inn was a pleasant surprise, prompted by our trip to Urumqi Silk Road International Ski Resort in Xinjiang with our child. Although it's an inn, it's designed and equipped like a hotel. Our 4-day, 3-night stay exceeded our expectations.
**Service:** First and foremost, we were deeply touched by the warm, friendly, and sincere hospitality of the owner and his wife. The owner's wife, in particular, was very personable. Any questions we had were promptly answered and resolved. During check-in, she patiently explained the room temperature (offering extra blankets if it felt cold at night), how to preheat the electric water heater and its usage tips, and the shuttle service to the ski resort. Our large luggage was brought up by a lift and carried to our room, making us feel like family.
**Facilities:** The room was spacious and bright, well-equipped with a TV, floor heating, an electric water heater, and a luggage lift. The heating was ample and comfortable, and hot water was available all day. During the day, the sunlight streaming through the window made the room bright and warm. The view outside the window was beautiful, offering sights of Aiwenda Road, Feichangdao, and Xuanzangdao. At night, the twinkling lights of Aiwenda Road were especially captivating, which was why we chose a scenic twin room. Additionally, my child loved the corridor design, reminiscent of scenes from Harry Potter movies, and the environment was quiet.
**Hygiene:** The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. On our first day, the owner let us choose between two rooms, and we picked the one with a tatami bed, mainly drawn by the carpet with Xinjiang elements.
**Breakfast:** Breakfast was not included when we booked online, but upon arrival, the owner surprised us with free breakfast vouchers. Breakfast offered milk tea, boiled eggs, millet (or corn) and red date porridge, steamed buns, stir-fried dishes, and cold salads. It was simple yet energizing, meeting our basic needs.
**Location:** The inn is very close to the ski resort. The visitor center is divided into East and West zones, and it's convenient whether you drive or walk. When we visited, the East zone was open, and the inn provided a shuttle service, taking about 5-6 minutes by car or 10-odd minutes on foot. Although the West zone wasn't open, it would be about a 5-minute walk. While the child was skiing, adults could enjoy a walk, soak up the sun, breathe fresh air, and get some exercise.
Upon leaving, the owner kindly helped us with our luggage downstairs. Many thanks! We'll definitely stay at Maowo Inn again if we have the chance.

Guest UserWe shared a suite for five people. It was incredibly clean, and the owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming. They were waiting for us even though we arrived quite late. The next day's breakfast was incredibly rich. The owner prepared milk tea and a variety of breads and jams, all of which were delicious. They even had Bursak and stir-fried chili beans grown in the house, which truly brought back the flavors of my mom.
We arrived so late that we woke up the next day to discover the cozy little courtyard. There were areas for playing chess, drinking tea, and swinging on the swings, all surrounded by the sound of running water. If you live in the city, I highly recommend bringing your family here for a weekend get-together, playing mahjong, and listening to the children's laughter.
The owner's wife even let us pick some crabapples from the front of their house. They had a sweet and sour apple aroma, and they said they were all natural. This village is a model homestay village. I think the owner and his wife are very kind. I hope their courtyard will be more widely known. It's highly recommended!

In order to learn to ride horses in Shuixigou for 5 nights, the homestay is 5 minutes drive from the horse farm and the ski resort. The boss and the front desk Xiao Du are very enthusiastic. There is a laundry room with drying on the first floor. Xiao Du will help wash clothes. The room is small but it is just right to live alone, like in his own home. The kitchen is particularly large, you can play your cooking skills, pots and pans and seasonings are all complete, you can buy vegetables and meat yourself. The snow scene should be beautiful in winter.
