"First time in Yuncheng, and Novotel pleasantly surprised us! The front desk, restaurant, and room service were all excellent. Check-in was super quick. We booked two rooms, and they kindly arranged for them to be next to each other. They even gave us lots of snacks and fruit. It was Labor Day, so the hotel was really busy, but they opened an extra restaurant for breakfast during peak hours, which was great. The service there was just as good, showing their excellent contingency planning for busy times. Our rooms were cleaned promptly every day, and they replenished the 6 bottles of mineral water without fail. A very satisfying trip overall!"

"During our trip to Shanxi, we had the opportunity to stay at Home Inn Neo (Walmart Plaza, Hedong East Street, Xueyuan Road, Yuncheng) in Yuncheng. We stayed in this hotel for four nights and had an extraordinary experience. As soon as I checked in at noon on January 25, I was warmly received by the front desk staff. The introduction was clear, the explanation was concise, and the processing was quick. We were deeply moved when they saw that there were children among us and they asked us about our concerns and helped us enthusiastically. It really feels like home, right at home. Entering the hotel makes you feel suddenly enlightened. The hotel is overall clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious and bright, and all kinds of supplies are well placed. You feel comfortable as soon as you enter. The floor cleaners are hospitable and polite. There is a parking space, and there is someone in charge who is responsible. All staff members were courteous to guests, and when I left the hotel on the 29th, I received greetings and blessings from the front desk staff. "It is hard to understand how a hotel can have so many problems in two nights, power outage at 10pm + changing four rooms + excavator downstairs at 11pm + crazy knocking on the door while I was sleeping soundly and listening to the male supervisor apologize
1The air conditioner in the first room was a bit noisy, so I changed to the second room
2 The hotel lost power at around 10pm that night and it was completely dark. There was no emergency lighting and no one notified what had happened.
3. I woke up the next morning and found that there was no cover on the bathroom window. The whole room was bright and I couldn't sleep at all.
4 I changed to a third room because I hired a car and was not in the hotel for a day. I left my luggage in the room and left. When I came back and opened the door, the room smelled like a public toilet.
5 changed to the fourth room…The excavator started working downstairs at around 11 o'clock.
I'm impressed... I've never seen a large machine working in a city center at 11pm. I was going to change the fifth room, but after a while, the quarrel between other communities and excavators ended.
6I thought the disaster would be over after I checked out the next day. Who would have thought that a male supervisor would knock on my door frantically at around nine in the morning to apologize to me when I was fast asleep. No one paid any attention to him and he kept knocking on the door. What kind of new type of boss is this? ? No matter whether the customer is resting or not, as long as you want to apologize, it doesn’t matter what time it is? ? Is it polite for a man to knock on a woman's door frantically, either at night or in the morning? ?
Three stars because the general manager finally came to apologize and refunded the room fee, but the first thing he said to me was that there was construction going on next door to the hotel. Construction next door to the hotel is the least of your problems. I don't know how the employees report the situation.
The hotel staff was very nice throughout the whole process and actively changed rooms, but there was no apology or compensation. We changed four rooms but no one offered to help us upgrade the room or anything like that. When I was about to change to the fifth room and I was already very dissatisfied, they said they would give me a fruit plate so that I would not give a bad review... After knowing that I would definitely describe the room truthfully, they knocked on the door frantically early in the morning... What an incredible way to handle the problem."

RRathelI've stayed at several Atour hotels, and I have to complain about this one.
1. Parking is inconvenient. The parking lot is located in a narrow alley next to the main entrance. The alley is already narrow, and with food carts on both sides and people selling food from electric scooters parked in front of them, it's even narrower. Although it's relatively short, it's really difficult to drive through.
2. Because our car is quite wide, we specifically selected parking when booking, but when we arrived at the hotel around 8:10 PM, we found out the parking lot was full. No one had called to inform us beforehand.
3. The front desk staff seemed listless and unhelpful.
4. After arriving at the hotel, I got out of the car to ask the front desk for parking directions. They gave me directions, and we drove through the alley to the parking lot entrance. Suddenly, an older man appeared and said there were no spaces left, telling us to back out and park on the steps by the hotel entrance. Although it's short, it's really difficult to back up. The problem is, didn't the front desk staff know the parking lot was full? 5. Checking in, having looked at the map, the hotel was about 2-3 kilometers from the edge of the salt flat, so I casually asked, ”Can you see the salt flat from this building?”
The receptionist: ”The salt flat is just one lake.”
I…couldn't help but retort, ”If it's not one lake, then it's two lakes?”

6. After parking, I was worried. What if there were other cars parked behind us? How would we get out tomorrow? My family confidently said, ”Don't worry, the hotel will definitely handle it.” The next morning, sure enough, our car was stuck in the middle. One end was blocked in front of the hotel, and the other end was a small white car parked diagonally, leaving insufficient space. I said it was quite early, and if the car belonged to a guest, they might still be asleep. The hotel probably wouldn't dare knock on the door, and they probably wouldn't know which room the car belonged to. My family blindly trusted the hotel and told the front desk we were going upstairs to pack our things and were leaving, so they should move the car quickly. And sure enough… they didn't move it. They told us to drive out through a small opening in the middle. That opening was… and next to it were two of the same model cars as ours, oh dear… two relatively wide cars. Even if they were wide, they were still standard-compliant cars, not trucks. Were we here to practice our driving skills? You're a hotel! Didn't you think about the possibility that both cars were relatively wide before telling us to park like that? Didn't you think that each car would leave at a different time? If there was a scratch, would the hotel compensate us? Would the hotel compensate for the other party's damage?
But they really couldn't find anyone to move the car. We couldn't wait, so I had to direct them, and my family mustered up the courage to try. It took a lot of effort to finally get it out. Seriously, I directed them myself. The two ladies at the front desk were watching from behind. Sisters, were you just there to watch the show?

The electric curtains and large projector are great. The bath water is very good. The rooms are fully equipped, clean, and the bedding is comfortable. Our single-family cottage has its own private pool, which the kids loved. We had dinner à la carte at the hotel, and I loved the large Yellow River carp dish. The kids, who usually don't like fish, were eager to try it. The water view in front of the reception hall in the evening was particularly beautiful, especially during the blues, making it a great photo opportunity. The breakfast was perfectly balanced and well-presented. Upon departure, the housekeeper politely said goodbye and thoughtfully provided some local snacks for the journey. Due to time constraints, we only stayed for one night, so there were many things we didn't experience, such as the children's activity center and swimming pool. It's a perfect place for a family vacation. I like this hotel very much. Next time I come here on vacation, I will book a room with a river view and bring my kids to have a good time for a few days.
