"Of all the camps in the area to choose from I highly recommend staying at this particular one. The manager Wang Shiquan and his team are incredibly good hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. As a foreigner I felt incredibly welcomed and included. The tents are of really good quality and very roomy. The beds are really comfy too. The activities are also plentiful with quad biking, camel riding and sandboarding. Shapotou is very close by too with much to do. Ningxia is definitely an underrated province and I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and experience the kind hospitality of it's people from this camp. Thank you for a great stay."

"The Mars Cabin was incredibly comfortable and clean, with a full range of children's amenities, making it perfect for families. The hotel's personalized service was excellent. My child was just over 1.2 meters tall, but the hotel didn't charge extra. There were plenty of activities, so we never got bored. A special thanks to our butler, Xiao Zhao, who basically responded to our WeChat messages instantly. Whenever we needed a shuttle, he'd arrange it within 5 minutes. When I was leaving the hotel, my car accidentally got stuck in a sand pit. Under the scorching midday sun, Butler Xiao Zhao spent over an hour tirelessly helping me – putting down planks, shoveling sand, pushing the car, and finally coordinating the hotel's tow truck, even though my rental car didn't even have a tow hook (a note to Shenzhou Car Rental: provide cars with tow hooks!). He finally got my car out."

"Facilities: The room was absolutely superb! There were three of us adults and three children, and it had exactly three beds, plus everything else we needed. Such great value for money! Cleanliness: The room was very clean and tidy. Even though it's in the desert, there wasn't a single grain of sand inside. Environment: The environment was fantastic! There were 'bubble' tents set up, free sandboards, and even sand-digging tools. They thoughtfully put up a canopy over the sand-digging area. Service: The owner's service attitude was truly exceptional. This trip was amazing, everyone we met was so kind. I highly recommend this place; the overall value for money is excellent. Round-trip shuttle from desert entrance to hotel: The owner herself came to pick us up and even helped us with our luggage. As a fellow woman, I have to admire her – she just effortlessly picked up the bags! Desert bonfire party & fireworks show: It was during the Dragon Boat Festival, so it was incredibly crowded. The bonfire party was brilliant, a really great experience."

"This time I stayed at the desert tent hotel, and its facilities were far beyond my expectations! There is a viewing terrace outside the tent, equipped with comfortable lounge chairs, allowing me to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the desert sunrise and sunset. The interior of the tent is no slouch either, and it stays nice and cool even on a scorching desert day. The independent bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, with a stable supply of hot water and high-quality toiletries. There are also a lot of entertainment facilities, including desert motorcycles, sandboards, etc., which satisfy my pursuit of exciting experiences. What’s even more thoughtful is that the tent is also equipped with an emergency medicine kit and charging equipment, showing care in every detail. Such high-quality facilities gave me an unforgettable desert trip!"

"I stayed in an air-conditioned cabin without a private bathroom this time. It was cleaner than I expected. I'd recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops for the shared showers. Other amenities like toothbrushes and towels were disposable, which was great. Getting a taxi was difficult, but the host was incredibly thoughtful and came to pick us up. There was a bonfire party in the evening, and they set off fireworks like there was no tomorrow! Watching the stars and fireworks in the desert was absolutely beautiful!"

"Push the window is a continuous dune, the sunrise and sunset view is beautiful, the twin room is clean and comfortable, the separate bathroom, air conditioning, the room has Internet and electricity, and the quality of toiletries is good. "My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Zhongwei was a delightful surprise! Amy Yumi, the front desk attendant, greeted me with such a warm smile, and Coco had me checked in within three minutes. They even upgraded me to a larger room for free, which was spacious and bright, and came with a complimentary fruit platter. The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were a thoughtful touch, and the Hilton-standard cleanliness put me completely at ease. The breakfast buffet offered local specialties like the incredibly flavorful and chewy Aocai noodles. The self-service coffee machine made a latte that was just as good as anything you'd get at a cafe! The location was super convenient too; it took less than half an hour by taxi to get to the Shapotou Scenic Area. In the evenings, I could unwind at the gym. The free laundry room was a lifesaver for travelers needing to refresh their clothes, and the printer in the lobby's business center was free to use. I even discovered that the room's power outlets had built-in USB ports! I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends planning a trip to Zhongwei. "The hotel is conveniently located near local attractions. The bonfire party and fireworks at night were beautiful and relaxing. We even experienced the desert climate in a unique way when it rained. The educational activities were also a lot of fun, and the hotel provided sandboarding equipment, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. The owner was very welcoming, and the hotel's restaurant served delicious local specialties. They even gave us a gift, which made our stay incredibly happy! 😋"
