"We had an absolutely AMAZING TIME! From our airport pick up (which I recommend). Even though it was 2am we were still greeted with fantastic Hibiscus tea from Edres he was fantastic. We were shown around even at that time. In the morning we asked for a call to see the sunrise and that was fantastic as well. In the morning we had a great typical breakfast and then a fantastic tour as well. Rowan and Aya also were wonderful. I would recommend this place to see the true Aswan and tour the Nubian Village. Also, the lunch was fantastic as well. Next time we want to spend more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay."

"Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they gave me a ground-floor room. I seriously suspect the housekeeping staff tampered with my foundation bottle. The cap was open, and a few drops had spilled out. The more I thought about it later, the more I realized it definitely wasn't my doing. If you're staying here, I'd recommend keeping your personal items locked in your luggage! The buffet restaurant's food was mediocre, but the coffee was decent."

"This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village. First of all, you have to be able to tolerate: 1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel. 2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide). 3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it. 4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel. 5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person... What did we get here? 1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am. 2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic. 3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic. 4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles. 5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay."

The Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only offers a pleasant stay in Aswan for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 8km from Aswan International Airport and 9km from Aswan. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Temple d'Hathor, Porte d'Hadrien and Agilkia Island all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.

"Benben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars? Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so. Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this. Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing."

"Very friendly and responsible front desk! Because the driver temporarily increased the price, the front desk has always cared about our safety, and even negotiated with the driver for a long time. Finally, we sent a car to pick us up to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful. There is a market nearby. It is a collection of eating, drinking and playing. There is no problem in staying for two or three days. Wash the soul. The front desk can also help to book boats, sailing boats and cars, the price is very affordable! The only thing to note is that there is a group of dogs next to the hotel. People who are afraid of dogs recommend staying in a river view room, because they will stay in the main hotel, there is a very cute kitten! If you live in a common room, you must often pass by the road in the dog stronghold, which is a very test of courage."

Nubian House on elephantine island

"It is located in Nubian Village on the Nile River. You can travel to and from the main island by public ferry for 10 Egyptian pounds. It seems that they offer a free ferry at any time for check-in and check-out. Also, Baky, who helped us, was quick to respond and very helpful! We were able to ask anything and he was flexible, so we had no trouble staying there. Also, unlike the main island, the people in Nubian Village don't tout, and the children are adorable, so it was a really relaxing place. Please come and visit."

"Very satisfied. After arriving at the pier in the evening, the boss came back to pick us up. He also prepared mango juice for us in the small living room and gave us a bracelet (made by my daughter). It was very beautiful! When we checked out, he sent us to the ship and helped us find a car to Luxor. The price was acceptable because it was a new car."

"It was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and well-equipped with all the basic amenities. It had air conditioning, a refrigerator, a refrigerator pot, soap, paper towels, mugs and tea, a small locker, hangers, and a blanket. The bathroom was also spacious and easy to use. The hotel is located about a two-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The island's roads are not well-maintained, so we don't recommend carrying a suitcase. There are two delicious restaurants nearby where you can have breakfast. The restaurant next to the ferry terminal also offers takeout. The ferry runs frequently and costs £15 per person. However, between midnight and 6am it costs £75 per person. Generally, there's nothing to worry about with the ferry. The owner was very kind and explained everything clearly at check-in. He also arranged an Abu Simbel Temple tour and airport transfers for us. If you're considering the Abu Simbel Temple tour, please note that regular tours may not include island transfers, so ask the owner if they can arrange one. Please note that unlike regular hotels, there is not always someone at the front desk."

"I booked it temporarily because of the change in the itinerary. Tolip is a chain of five-star hotels in Egypt. Although the decoration style and facilities are relatively old, it is already considered good in the local area. The price is also very cost-effective. There are rooms with Nile views. It is only a one-minute walk away. It is very good."

WwangwinworldThis was the most expensive hotel on our trip to Egypt, and it was quite a hassle getting there. Our flight was delayed for a long time, and the only transportation from the airport was unofficial taxis. However, the hotel was worth it. We paid an extra $150 for our child, which included a lavish afternoon tea that practically served as dinner. We missed the group tour, but since we were only staying one day, they gave us a private tour of Churchill's and Agatha Christie's rooms. The old building offered a unique atmosphere and view. Housekeeping was 24/7, so you could request cleaning at any time. There's a Carrefour nearby with very affordable items. Breakfast was decent, though my child felt it wasn't varied enough, so they brought out freshly baked bread and other treats. The service truly was excellent, and we had a great experience. The new building's rooms were also very spacious, but it was just too hot. It might be better to visit in winter.

YYilmaz KalafatogluHIGHLY RECOMMENDED! First of all it is like a staying with your family far from home, in a very tourist welcoming area in general but also the hotel. All Nubian people are welcoming and honest; especially if you are coming from somewhere other than Egypt you will feel refreshed getting rid of bargaining. Hotel arranged an Abu Simbel transportation (which was 3 hours away)with lunch box for us early in the morning at 04:00 am we came back around 1 pm and take a tour to Philae Temple then came back to hotel (which was our cozy home) and Ahmed took us to village as a local, guided as and provided fair prices, we experienced their culture seeing the magnificently painted surroundings also jumping in local houses with tortoise and crocodiles, and they have provided us transportation to Aswan Train Station. I even felt sad because of leaving a place with full of brothers. Thanks to Ahmed (both), Ms Mai, Mohammed and Islam. It was an amazing experience, you shall not say i’ve visited Egypt before seeing Nubian Village.

GGuest UserFood: Provides local food, fair price, good taste👍 Service: Good service, some staff can speak English, communication is barrier-free; round trip boat ride is free, round trip boat ride during the stay is 200 pounds, round trip to Philae Temple is 400 pounds (it seems that the temple pier charges some fees); we asked the hotel to book a car to Abu Simbel Temple, 4100 Egyptian pounds, a little expensive but it seems to be a service provided by a formal company, the driver is very good👍 Environment: The hotel is opposite the Philae Temple, and it takes about ten minutes to take a boat from the pier to the island where the hotel is located. The scenery of the Nile is beautiful: there will be some geckos in the room, hahaha, but there is no problem with going to the toilet and taking a shower, and the sanitary conditions are better than expected. Overall, it is worth recommending. There is no wifi, but it is an interesting natural experience.

Xxlwill86The room is old and the decoration style is also very rustic, but the view is good. I strongly recommend the restaurant on the 13th floor (make sure to make a reservation when you check in). The food is very good and it is the best restaurant in Egypt for ten days. The local restaurant on the first floor is not delicious. Free chocolate in the lobby from 4 to 5 pm every day

KKalagandaailisiThis small hotel is located in a small village. We went there in February. It was dry and cold. The air conditioner can only cool. The wind from the door is very strong. The panoramic room has a balcony on one side, which is even colder. Sara at the front desk is more professional. You can ask her if you need anything, but she starts work at 10 am. The one in charge of the bar is very unreliable. The kettle for hot water we were served was not washed. The kettle that had milk in it made the water all mushy. The food hygiene is completely unreliable. He also forced us to sell two bottles of water. We didn't order them, but he gave them to us directly, so we thought they were for breakfast. Finally, he showed us the price list and asked us for money. I said you didn't tell us, and he said you didn't ask. The first stop in Aswan has a very bad impression!

MM60109****Aswan said that this place is worn, except for the old waterfall, no one can live in a hotel. Instead of spending more than a thousand unpleasant, it is better to come to this homestay. There is hot water, breakfast with egg cucumber cakes, air conditioning, and hygiene in the local area. After all, at this price, what kind of bicycles do you want, the owner of the hotel is good, English is all ok in the local area, the old man is a teacher, there are three sons, one is working in Saudi Arabia, one is a soldier, and there is a local travel agency to work, opening this hotel is also subsidized for home use, very friendly to the Chinese, Real people, more than 20 years ago, moved from Abu Simbe to Aswan for a better life, and chatted with them, you can learn that the locals in Egypt are really not as bad as they say on the Internet But the disadvantage is that it is not easy to find. If it is not for the local driver, it is difficult to find. The location is relatively biased. Although Egyptian security is OK, women are not recommended to go alone at night.

AAnonymous UserI was treated very well by Yara, Hossam, and the boy at the reception, whose name I think was Anas???! The service was polite and pleasant, and they kindly answered all my questions! It was also great that I could get to the hotel from the station through the arcade where they sell souvenirs! (The arcade road is smooth, so it's easy to roll a carry-on bag.) I also liked that I could book a tour to the Abu Simbel Temples at the hotel! It was also great that I could have breakfast even if I left early in the morning for the tour! Also, the hair dryer was super fast, the best hair dryer I've ever used. It was a great hotel! I'd love to stay again!
