"The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly, professional, and quick to provide service. The room is cozy, spacious, and well-designed. "Pros: The service was good, rooms were nice and new, and breakfast was decent, though expensive. There's a hotel shop 10 meters away. The mattress was firm and comfortable.
Cons: The location is terrible; you'll need a motorbike or taxi to get around. There's a private resident under the window, and their roosters crow constantly. There's no hairdryer in the room. The pillows are awful! There were 4 lightweight synthetic pillows, impossible to sleep on. They should have provided 2 good ones instead of 4 bad ones. After the second night, my neck was completely stiff.
Also, don't throw toilet paper in the toilet. Their paper is super thick and doesn't dissolve at all. I ended up having to pay 1000 pesos for a plumbing service."

"We love Nustar so much! This is probably our 5th time here! Stayed here from Nov 5 to 7 as it’s Mine and my bros bday and it was after Typhoon Tino. As always they are very accomodating, friendly and helpful and gave me a piece of cake and fruit bowl but this time I ask for a happy birthday note on the monitor for background pic for me & entire family as celebration but they keep telling me they will send someone up but no one really came from the IT department . I did expect a happy birthday greeting on the monitor it would have been very special, but I understand as maybe they are so busy and under staff because of the typhoon and instead of 2 pm check and we were able to check in very late like 5:30 pm because they’re probably under staffs but all of these did not ruin our overall stay as new star staffs are all very welcoming. We had birthday dinner in the good luck hotpot which is just inside Nustar as well. Thank you Nustar for being very welcoming , friendly and hand on chest when Greeting guest is such a Nustar trademark  please trade me a guest feel welcome and at home"

"I like the room, but I don’t really like the bathroom especially the bathtub. There seems to be some mold or dirt stuck on the mat-like lining, and the shower doesn’t have any labels indicating which is hot or cold. It’s disappointing because this is a 4-star hotel. Even the amenities, like the bottled water, are only 350 ml, which doesn’t feel worth the price we paid for the room.
The bathroom really needs improvement because that’s one of the first things guests usually look at. We originally booked a Superior room, but they upgraded us to a Deluxe room. However, I’m still disappointed with that aspect because based on the booking, I actually preferred the Superior room I originally reserved it seemed better than the Deluxe room we were given."

My family and I had a great time staying there for a few days.
Lovely was truly lovely—it really suited her name. She was the most accommodating from the very start. We wanted to thank her again during check-out, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to see her. She went above and beyond in hospitality, and you’re lucky to have her. Keep up the great work.
As for breakfast—OMG, we loved it! Special mention to the one who makes the coffee. Just a small note: it would be nice to improve or change the chafing dishes so the food stays hot. Other than that, the food and service were great.
I will definitely choose this hotel from now on, as we always stay in the city for a few days before heading to our rest house.

Pros:
- It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel!
- Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people.
- Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless.
- I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help.
Cons:
- The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours.
- The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences.
- The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby.
- Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

I understand the water pressure us nig great but the hotel should inform you that you may not have any water to shower. We thought it maybe an issue with ouf room BYT our family who were in a separate room had the same issue.

The charging pods were right next to the bed, and they even have a USB port - which made it super convenient having your phone right next to the bed charging. Light switches is also next to the bed, so you don’t need to walk to turn off/on the room lights. Downside is the bathroom, where there is no shower glass to prevent the water from over spilling into the other parts of the bathroom. Water drainage for the shower & sink is not very good, they do take a while to drain. Hair dryer is available but it’s not very powerful, almost impossible to dry your hair. No drinking water provided in the room, but they do have water distiller for each floor. There is a kettle & fridge in each room. Breakfast is not buffet style, it’s more of a fixed set of menu for you to choose from. Hotel does provide complimentary luggage storage services for guests, and the concierge will help you to flag down a taxi if you need to hitch a ride to the airport.

I can say that the first thing we noticed is the staff (information desk). We have entered the hotel with a happy face since finally after a long ride we arrived, so yeah we exchanged greetings at the front desk asking to confirm our booked room but the staff is not so good in response like no smile at all just talking randomly like asking ID naa I don't feel good talking to her 😐 not like other hotels kakarating lang sa door ang good vibes nila just saying my experience lang naybe from other guests hindi ganito anyways it's not big deal then all in all Tsai Hotel is good, clean and nice👍👍tho sometimes if there's someone talking outside the room you can hear them a little bit siguro pag malakas mga boses. So thank you all Tsai hotel especially kay manong guard (the Tatay look) so kind..

JJan MoreThe staff were so nice and accommodating. They truly cared for us when the earthquake happened on the night we were sleeping in our rooms. We used the stairs from the 5th floor post incident fearing for the aftershocks…we all stayed by the under renovation pool to stay away from the building in case it collapsed. The building swayed so much with the 6.9 magnitude..it was scary. The staff were calm and kept us all comfortable despite being scared themselves too. They helped us all moved to the 2nd floor after midnight post safety inspection.

JJann BungcarasI love the modern interiors! The wall is amazing! The room may be small but very functional. The staff are friendly as well. Just fix the elevator Down button of the 5th floor and we are all good! I love it here. And also fix the cable so we have something to view at night.
