📍 Pje. Playas, 1, Las Gaviotas, Jandia

"What a wonderful hotel, the ideal place to relax with a little bit of luxury. The rooms were well equipped, clean and very comfortable the added extras such as the coffee machine and beach bag are a lovely touch. The food here is excellent and as one of us is a vegetarian it was great to see such a wonderful selection. The staff at all times were helpful and attentive, we enjoyed chatting with Shirley. We hope we will be back soon."

Sol Fuerteventura Jandia - All Suites ★★★★

📍 C. Bentejuy, 8, Las Palmas, Morro Jable

"The hotel is ideally located, in the south of the island of Fuerteventura, close to the fine sand beaches and the resort is lively. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, but the quality of cleaning differs depending on who does it. The food is not to be recommended, there is a lot of it, but it has no taste and is not of good quality. The staff is kind and open to solve any problem. Average price-quality ratio, compared to the services, but does not justify the 4 stars."

Occidental Jandía Mar

Occidental Jandía Mar ★★★★

📍 Playa del Jable, Barranco de Vinamar, C. el Quijote, Jandia

"This hotel has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it falls well short because of poor customer service and inconsistent standards. The positives were the lovely pool, good cocktails, and a hardworking animation team. The sunshine and swimming made the holiday enjoyable despite everything else. The biggest disappointment was the reception staff. They were consistently unhelpful, inflexible, and seemed completely uninterested in customer satisfaction. Nothing was ever straightforward, and even a smile appeared to be too much to ask. The restaurant staff were also slow, with tables left uncleared for long periods and little friendliness. The bar staff were at least more welcoming. The entertainment team put in plenty of effort, but the programme was repetitive. During our stay, Barcy somehow had two birthdays, and several evening shows were repeated. The kids' club was also mainly aimed at very young children, with little for older children or teens. Activities were available however these were geared towards adults and the children were often sidelined. We did have an apology for this and they agreed there wasn't enough available for the teens so they did arrange a teen ping pong competition but nothing else again after that. Cleanliness also needs improving. The poolside toilets were regularly filthy and often had no toilet roll or soap. There were several confusing inconsistencies. Inflatables were supposedly banned from the pool, yet the rule seemed to change depending on who was on duty. The hotel also sells inflatables in the shop, claiming they're for the beach-but the beach is either a bus ride away or down a very steep hill and on such a windy island I am not sure a sensible option - so that explanation didn't make much sense. The food was average, plenty of choice but nothing memorable. Overall, we left disappointed. With better management, improved facilities, and staff who actually value customer service, this hotel could be much better. We wouldn't recommend it based on our experience. If you've already booked, you'll still enjoy the sunshine and the pool, but I'd lower your expectations of the service."

📍 Av. del Saladar, 17, Solana Matorral

"Delighted with our stay in a superior room with a sea (& pool) view & all inclusive. Stayed with my adult daughter on my birthday week. Lovely spacious room & big comfortable twin beds pushed together. Excellent large & quite private balcony with sunbeds, table & chairs & good views. Close to a range of shops & a very short walk to the sandy beach. Morro Jable village about 15 mins easy walk away. Parking available on the street close by (or private underground car park if you qualify). Arrived late but there was cava at reception & a magnificent 3-course meal saved for us (+ more cava!). All the staff were welcoming, hard-working & helpful. Pool was heated & there appeared to be sunbeds available most of the time (not always in the sun at this time of year!). 3 tennis courts & table tennis but crazy golf looked neglected. Good bar & excellent cocktails. Plenty of tasty variety for breakfast & dinner (labelling could be improved though). Entertainment was variable & typical of the Canary Islands but most not for us! Cute ‘resident’ cats … & a hedgehog family around the covered outside smoking area. We love the peace of Morro Jable & hope to return - almost certainly to this hotel as it offers exceptional value for money."

"Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children 15 and 10. We have had an amazing time, cant fault the hotel at all. Location is quiet but down the beach is short walk to shops. Hotel offered excursions which we used and couldn't fault at all really good days out and got to see the island ( unless have car or pay alot definitely take advantage if want to see more ). Entertainment really good, food was great selection and I cant fault at all didn't struggle to find things we like. Entertainment team are fabulous and loads of activities on through the day. Photo staff are lovely and we got some lovely Rooms are gorgeous super comfortable Hotel is immaculate and always cleaners around. Not a noisy hotel and very easy to relax. You do have to pay to use spa but was only 14 euros for hour which thought was pretty reasonable. Games room massive hit with our older kids and kept them entertained of an evening. Would definitely return."

Hotel Riu Palace Calypso - Adults Only Hotels in Jandia

Hotel Riu Palace Calypso - Adults Only

"I had a lovely stay at the Riu Palace overall. The location is perfect, and the hotel itself is beautiful. However, compared to other Riu Palace hotels I have stayed in, this one lacks the same level of attention to detail. The biggest disappointment was the service. There was very little warmth from the staff, with no simple greetings such as "hola," which made the atmosphere feel less welcoming than expected. Rebeca at the pool bar was particularly rude and unfriendly during my lunch, making me feel very unwelcome. At dinner, drinks were often placed on the table abruptly, as though serving us was an inconvenience. I was allocated a disabled-access room. While the room itself was lovely, I did not require an accessible room. In addition, the corridor outside the room appeared rather scruffy and lacked the standard of presentation I would expect from a newly refurbished hotel. Unfortunately, during the final two nights of my stay, I had HUGE cockroaches enter the room, which I believe were coming through the shower drains. I reported this to reception, but no action appeared to be taken, which was disappointing. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the excellent location and the hotel itself. However, the service and overall attention to detail fall short of the high standards I have come to expect from the Riu Palace brand and would benefit from improvement."

Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas All Inclusive Hotels in Jandia

Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas All Inclusive

"Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas Very disappointing stay, especially for families with young children. The hotel is presented in TUI offers as family friendly, but on site it looks completely different. On arrival we were welcomed very nicely after the transfer, with drinks offered at reception and our child receiving biscuits, which made a good first impression. The biggest issue is the ongoing renovation. Construction work takes place every day from around 8am until even 8pm or later. Noise from drilling, digging and machinery as well as dust is noticeable everywhere, including the pool area, inside the hotel and even on the beach. The construction area is only separated with red and white tape, which feels completely inadequate with children around. The hotel is not suitable for strollers at all. The main access ramp was closed due to construction vehicles, making it impossible to enter with a stroller, and access to the beach requires stairs so the stroller has to be carried. It is also absurd for families that if a baby falls asleep in a stroller you are not allowed to enter the restaurant and staff may ask you to leave, which means you miss your meal. Room key cards also stopped working several times and we had to go back to reception to reprogram them, which is very inconvenient with a child. Another major downside was the air conditioning system, which could not be turned off. In May the nights were quite cold and only a very thin blanket was provided for each person, so the child was cold at night. The hotel itself feels very outdated, around 30–40 years old, and only parts of it are being renovated. There is an unpleasant smell in the corridors and the furniture is old. Beds are uncomfortable with very old spring mattresses and instead of a double bed we had two single beds pushed together that kept separating. Cleanliness in the restaurant is poor, with worn and often not properly washed plates, cutlery and cups, sometimes having to change several items to find a clean one. Plastic cups at the Oasis bar were also heavily worn. Food is average: breakfasts are monotonous, lunches more varied and dinners generally good. A big positive is the drinks and alcohol selection, which is one of the best I have experienced in all inclusive hotels, with well-known European brands and the option to make your own drinks at the Oasis bar. The rooftop bar with ocean and beach views is excellent and the location of the hotel is probably its biggest asset and what you are mainly paying for. Staff are generally very friendly, especially housekeeping. Bed linen was not changed daily. During dinner guests are offered Moët champagne and the manager walks around with a tablet asking guests to fill in surveys. The hotel seems to receive good reviews mainly because most guests are over 60 and appear less bothered by the conditions, smells and ongoing renovation. I do not recommend this hotel for families with children aged 0–4. Lack of proper infrastructure, cons"

"The room is very noisy, we asked for a garden view and was given a room overlooking a busy road with cars and lorries going past all through the night beeping their horns, The windows are not adequate to stop the noise only stayed here one night and haven't had any sleep, Asked for help at reception, they offered us a move for €50 a night, the customer service is absolutely terrible, think twice before booking especially if you ask for a garden view."

"First impression of the complex was great. Beautiful complex but our room less so. The toilet was full of dirt and it was sticky and the whole bathroom stank. The bed was a complete disaster - you get one tiny pillow and a bed that is harder than the tiled floor. Our rubbish wasn't emptied once in 10 days. And the cleaning people come as they please, sometimes every day, then no one for 3 days, then someone for 2 days. And then the toilet seat was broken and you kept sliding back and forth on the toilet."

"It depends what you expect from a 4* but for us, it’s lacking in so many aspects…. Grounds are lovely, great pools with slides for kids, thoughtful activities such as paddle or mini golf for cold days… But…. Hotel is under staffed for the volume of guests it has…. Long queues for drinks from the beach bar, only 1 bar available during the day and 1 at night… goodness knows what it would be like at peak season Food is mediocre for a 4*… tinned fruit, lack of salad variety, food luke warm and not replenished quick enough for the volume of guests Dinning room dirty due to being understaffed, plates not cleared, no knives and forks… Lots of flies! Over food, appreciate the staff can’t do much about that but off putting when buzzing all over the food! You expect some self serve at a hotel but everything in this hotel is self serve. Not what you expect from a 4*… Pool towels can only be changed once a week.. You have to book your time to go to dinner each night in the main restaurant and if you turn up 5 mins early be prepared to be asked to wait! No water in your room, extra charge; teas and coffee in your room extra charge, safe box extra charge Feels this hotel is cost cutting in every area at the expense of the customer experience It’s a shame, as lots going for it but not the same experience we have received in other 4*"

"Group of 8 of us travelling First impression hotel is very run down from the outside family rooms for four, only operating with 1 plug socket with means unplugging television Our room 1415 covered infested with ant infestation, hotel staff proceeded to think this was my fault for leaving food and drinks out in the room, in which this was not the matter. This covered my personal gadgets, clothes and Crohn’s medication and sterile equipment. Buffet was extremely pathetic. The kids options also limited, my partner eats almost absolutely anything and even he was ill off the “food” they were serving Health and safety and cleanliness of the pool side facilities couldn’t even rate it a 1! After speaking to jet 2 on the second to last day they mentioned a goverment law for staff to pay for their own accommodation! They had. No staff! Which was not communicated through out the booking!! Long waits for the pool bar and inside evening bar! Hotel staff rude and definitely over worked. Tree cutters are organised at peak school holiday times Another couple had they concrete balcony disintegrate down to the lower level and nearly hit people with the debris !!"

Robinson Esquinzo Playa - All Inclusive

"I've had an amazing stay in Robinson Esquinzo Playa. One of the best hotels I've ever visited! ❤ The hotel is placed quite high and it offers you breathtaking ocean views. Right at the hotel exit there is a charming path that leads you to the beach. The beach is gorgeous, it's very wide and not so crowded. It takes maybe 10min to go down there, the way is pleasant and again, views are stunning. What is more, likely you will see canarian squirrels on the way. Facilities of the hotel are great: it has 2 swimming pools (one of them is heated), many sunbeds in different places, beautiful private daybeds that you can book, billard table, there is also fitness center, spa and tenis courts. Rooms are clean. All over the hotel there are many big palm trees and other plants, which makes the hotel look even better. The variety and quality of the food is surprisingly good! The restaurant is pretty big. There is lots of things to choose, even the most picky guests should be satisfied. For breakfast there are freshly squized juices and shakes which I loved. I enjoyed most of the food but especially amazingly cooked meat and variety of fruit and deserts. Even in a snackbar the food is delicious. The bar offers extraordinary options of beverages, including non-alcoholic ones. This hotel is fantastic both for families with children and for adults alone. Kids will not be bored, there is a pool with water slides, kids club run by good entertainers, even gymnastics and swimming classes for kids. At the same time, there is not loud in the hotel. You can always find places to relax where is completely quiet and calm. I was there during Christmas time and the New Year. The hotel prepared special decorations, food and drinks, firework show and even a music band live! Another thing that is worth mentioning is hotel staff. People working there are lovely, very well-organised, kind and hardworking. Starting from reception and restaurant workers, ending with housekeeping and entertainment team. There is an amphitheatre where there is a show twice a week. People taking part in the performance are often the same ones who are doing different jobs during the day. They're still finding time and energy to do rehearsals and practice choreographies, which is absolutely impressive. I've watched these dance shows with pleasure! Also the hotel is located in the southern part of Fuerteventura, where all of the most beautiful places of the island are. I totally recommend this place, I could come back here one day and hopefully I will"

"Whatever you do, dont believe the reviews! We enjoyed 5 days as a group of 10 women last week, ages 40s, 50s and 60s and we all said the same - we could have stayed longer and would go again for sure. First impressions- brilliant. We arrived late and they had arranged for food for us, check in was easy and upgrades sorted very easily. The walk to block 9 in the adults area was lovely, all lit with lanterns. From the next day we felt safe, at home and loved the chill out bar. Everywhere was absolutely spotless. Yes, some things looked tired but thats it. The food was immense, so fresh Whatever the time and great varieties. I enjoy my luxuries and for what this cost, this place holds its own. The views are amazing. Special shout out to our new holiday friends the staff -Eduado, Raphael, Ester and Samuel. Always helpful and made us laugh. Entertainment every night but dont miss the Coco Loco bar! Its fantastic and the perfect way to end a day. I hope to visit this lovely place again and say thank you to all the staff."

"This is my second review whilst I'm here main hotel rooms noisy from neighbours perhaps sadly not good I rather book garden view rooms lower level below pool deck seem quite. But I really can't fault food it's OK nothing special but it's not bad I promise. Mixed staff being polite as a solo traveler. Reception staff good and good location nice long walks along sandy beach. I read reviews but you do need to pay higher price to get quiet rooms if in main hotel it's not quiet belive me ... advantage plus seems a bit of a rip off to me.. as a solo traveler they wanted extra 600 pounds from standard sea view to superior view yes mind boggles when you share same pool etc.. but it's really ok if you pay cheap you get cheap for a solo traveler I would not pay for privilege it's a rip off but for couple possibly ok. Give it a try it's not bad..."

Hotel LIVVO Risco del Gato Suites

"We recently spent 10 days at the Risco del Gato Suites in Costa Calma, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warmth and friendliness. The suites are delightful and spacious, featuring a large bedroom with two double beds, a luxurious bathroom with a Jacuzzi, a separate shower, and double basins, along with a generous supply of toiletries. The suites are nestled within beautifully maintained gardens, offering stunning views of the ocean—a perfect setting for relaxation. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and a spa. These amenities provide plenty of opportunities to unwind and enjoy the serene atmosphere. When it comes to dining, the hotel excels. There are two restaurants: one serves a buffet breakfast and dinner, while the main restaurant stands out for its exceptional quality. The food and service were consistently outstanding throughout our stay.at all the venues As lovers of fish, we were particularly impressed by the great variety available, which added a lot of enjoyment to our meals. I highly recommend the Risco del Gato hotel to anyone seeking a unique and luxurious getaway."

I can’t agree with the bad reviews, I didint find that the entertainment not the food where aimed at German clientele Food was plentiful and always very tasty Every single staff member encountered where friendly and always said hello Always plenty of sunbeds My only downsides which are personal is the lack of outlets in the room and the small window in the bathroom letting light in Thanks for a great stay!"

"A beautiful complex with a heated pool. If you have trouble with steps, this isn't the place for you. Unfortunately, the parking lot is too small. Excellent breakfast, huge room with a sea view, unfortunately marred by a fence. Otherwise, it's quiet and pleasant! "Definitely not a 4-star hotel and not on Melia level I am used to. You can only book at least half board, but when you arrive you directly have to choose a time for breakfast and dinner. Not have yet eaten there because of a number of bad reviews on cold food in bad quality…. The room is ok, but would need a fresh paint here and there (e.g., edges of door or bath tube). Then you can get a pool-/beach towel for a deposit of € 10 and for EVERY exchange you pay € 1.-. Never had to pay for an exchange of towels in a 4-star hotel so far…. Last but not least: the crowd…. Ballermann at its best… Germans all over most likely on all inclusive… all chairs “blocked” at the pool. Next time when I am in Jandia/Moro Jables, I will stay at RIU again - next door…"

"We booked our stay directly through Barcelo and we only booked two weeks in advance however we wouldn’t stay here again! The evening entertainment it’s outside and it’s till half 11 - midnight if you here with kids and want to enjoy peaceful sleep and forget it! Even with earplugs it’s impossible! We never stayed somewhere where entertainment wasn’t in a enclosed space and for us this spoilt our time here massively! People reserving sun beds early in the morning as there isn’t many shaded spaces. If you not Spanish then there is a massive language barrier and staff isn’t very helpful and just don’t care about customer. Only one restaurant so it can be busy and food choices are hit and miss and food often is overcooked."

"My wife and I stayed in a superior room with sea view located on the 5th floor with a great view overt he pool area and beyond to the beach and lighthouse. The room was spacious, light and airy with plenty of storage space, although the furniture did remind me of 1970s G-plan. The ensuite had a walk-in shower, which always had plenty of hot water. The room was kept clean and tidy by the housekeeping staff, in fact the whole hotel was very clean. The only downside to our room was the air conditioning, which was just powerful enough to keep the room cool. Breakfast and dinner were taken in the spacious dining room or on the terrace facing the pool. Both are buffet style with hot and cold food, the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast was especially good. My wife and I thought though that the dinner menu was slanted towards the Germans who are the majority of the clientele in the hotel. The food though at both meals was very good. Gentlemen are requested to wear long trousers at dinner, this is non-negotiable. The evening entertainment was mixed, on the stage inside the hotel or on the terrace outside the hotel. The standout acts for use were the spanish duo playing traditional spanish songs on their acoustic guitars, Betty (a spanish Anastacia) playing a mix of pop and rock songs on her guitar to a backing track and the spanish gentlemen ( whose name I have forgotten) who played his electric guitar to backing tracks, covering the likes of U2, Dire Straits, Queen, Pink Floyd, AC/DC & Santana among others. Would my wife. and I recommend this hotel, yes, it is in a good location, the food is good, the staff are very friendly and helpful, although they do assume that you are german, so a few words in that language is useful and the beach opposite the hotel is fantastic. Also we had a taxi transfer from the airport, because Morro Jable, where the hotel is located, is almost at the southern end of Fuerteventura. This took an hour, not sure how long a bus transfer would take."

"Well, well, well, what can I say. Just got back from a week at the resort, first 3 days was windy however the sun was shining then the wind went away and it got hot, hot, hot. The hotel was nice we stopped above the arcade so pretty quiet with baroness views of the mountains which was nice compared to a busy town. The rooms were a nice size with kitchen area, living area with a smart tv and English news also netflix etc. Resteraunt was nice, food was great only 1 day which I thought was repetitive, lamb, pork, chicken ,veil, beef stew (which missed the mash potatoes but came the next day lol). All in all great place for the price, taxis to the beach and return. The beach was to die, crystal waters and beautiful sands. Will be coming back. The only draw back is the taxi time 1.5hrs but.small price compared to the.beaches up north which seam to be gravel based. Well done to the hotel team for a great stay"
