"I chose their 270-degree sea view room online because it was significantly cheaper than similar rooms. So, I gave up my original plan for a twin-bed room. When I got to the room and opened the curtains, I was pleasantly surprised! It looked exactly like the pictures on the platform – what you see is what you get. It would have been even more perfect if there wasn't a rooftop in front, haha! 😂 The room was very clean, and there was plenty of space for luggage. There's a mini-fridge, and they even provided complimentary iced Coke! They offer port pickup and drop-off, and the owner was already waiting for us when we disembarked. The guesthouse's location is also very convenient; it's perfect for strolling from one end of Mazu Temple towards Ewei. The guesthouse has small electric scooters available for rent, but we tried one, and my driving skills weren't great, and I accidentally broke a small flower pot belonging to the guesthouse. I offered to pay, but the landlady insisted on not taking any money... She helped us find a reasonably priced mini-scooter rental and even warned us about the risk of scrapes since the rental scooter wasn't insured. The service was exceptional! At night, we felt an earthquake due to the tremor in Taiwan. I went downstairs, and the owner told me their guesthouse foundation could withstand a magnitude 4-5 earthquake, which immediately put my mind at ease, haha. It was a really great stay, definitely worth the two days I spent carefully choosing it!"

"We chose this seaside guesthouse for a one-night stay on Meizhou Island. After confirming the booking, the owner immediately contacted us by phone and added us on WeChat for easy communication. We notified them via WeChat when we boarded the ferry at the pier, and the owner's wife was already waiting for us at the exit after we disembarked. The drive from the pier to the guesthouse was quick. The hotel is located in a bustling area along a coastal road. We chose a room on the third floor, right in the middle, with a balcony facing the sea. Because it was winter, the balcony was a bit chilly for extended periods, except for short stops to enjoy the sea view. The guesthouse provides electric scooters, which can be rented by the day, and can also help rent sightseeing vehicles and cars. We rented a small Wuling van for 130 yuan a day and drove around the entire island. Parking is available at all attractions, making parking convenient. During our two days there weren't many tourists, and the temperature was pleasant outdoors. The guesthouse was very clean, had an excellent environment, and provided excellent service. The facilities and amenities were complete and met our basic needs."

"we’ve spent in the homestay 2 nights during the chinese holidays in May. it was very nice and welcoming, the owners were super friendly and helpful. we got picked up and dropped off at the harbor. the room was nice, big, clean. but you could hear the neighbors in the bathroom well , as the wall was super thin ( it’s okay, didn’t really bother us). the other thing is breakfast could be just a bit better ( just eggs, bun and porridge (rice with water).
the location is very good though, close to the market street and the beach! ahhh and we could hire scooters right are the homestay!
and the price was crazy expensive, i’ve checked later the prices during not chinese celebrations are much much cheaper 🤣

"This trip with three elderly guests turned out to be the warmest experience we've ever had on Meizhou Island!
I booked two sea-view rooms, each with a terrace offering unobstructed ocean views. My elders could simply sit and watch the tides rise and fall without any hassle.
We checked in on the 14th day of the first ***** month, and I was worried about the elderly guests' mobility issues getting around to meals. However, the landlady was incredibly thoughtful. She had her brother take me to the market on an electric scooter to buy seafood while the elderly guests rested and enjoyed the view. That evening, she even took us to see the local village's Mazu welcoming and sending-off ceremony—a truly authentic experience of Mazu culture, filled with the sounds of gongs and drums, the aroma of incense, and dazzling fireworks. This genuine immersion in Mazu culture is something tourists can't find on their own.
Even more heartwarming was her thoughtfulness. Seeing that my mother had knee problems, she offered her some knee ointment. The next day, when the weather turned cold, she brought my father a jacket so he could wear it to the pier across the water to return it to the Mazu liaison office. These small gestures deeply touched us.
The rooms were clean, conveniently located, and offered beautiful views, but what we remembered most was the landlady's warm hospitality.
Meizhou Island boasts beautiful scenery and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this guesthouse when traveling to Meizhou Island."
