"It was the second time we stayed at one of the chalets of Soleil D’Or . We chose it because of its wonderful location and our last year’s positive experience. The chalet itself is really nice and very welcoming for families and groups of friends. It has all the features of a five star chalet but it’s lacking some details that would make it perfect (for example, why put fake candles in all the chalet of none of them have batteries ?!🤷‍♀️ Or not put soap in the bathrooms ‘because there is shower gel anyway’ ) I am sad to say that, compared to last year, the services were worst. It felt like a general sense of confusion, poor communication and lack of professionalism. When we booked the chalet, no one informed us that one of the bathrooms in the vila was completely non functional and under renovation. They offered to finish renovation while we were there … which we obviously refused . Also, there was much confusion about the breakfast in the vila and we were told to cook our own eggs so that they don’t get cold by the time room service will bring them to the chalet. The hotel shuttle cannot be booked in advance and it took some time until someone properly explained to us how it works , which was finally ok. The only faultless services were the ones offered by the hotel SPA , which we enjoyed every day during our stay."

"Would place this between 4 and 5 stars. Room was spacious but a bit dark as others have noted. There is no AC which is fairly normal in the area, a fan helped, but on a particularly hot night can be a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of variety, excellent bread. Dinner was good with the highlight being the dessert and cheese buffet afterwards, both had lots of choices and were exceptional. Would stay again if in the area. "

"Medium overpriced stay due to the season. Staff , bar and restaurant good. Location is ok not so far and not so close either, a van is operating all day. Breakfast choises are limited as well the restaurant area is a bit small. Ps.: We were very unlucky because our room had a very bad cesspool smell..."

"Avoid, it isn’t cheap, the room was grotty, there was no bed linen, no towels, the reception women was very rude. It’s not clear when you book what you are getting. It was dirty, there was a musty smell, the shower leaked all over the floor, as did the toilet. It as horrible. There isn’t enough parking, the other “guests” looked undesirable let’s say, alright if you’re a building looking for a grotty crash pad for one night. If you are a family looking for somewhere nice- stay literally anywhere else. Zero stars."
