"It is embarrassing for this hotel to call itself a five star. We contacted the hotel several weeks before our stay to arrange multiple experiences and restaurant reservations through their concierge service. We were clearly assured that everything would be handled. Upon arrival, we discovered that absolutely nothing had been booked. As a result, the experiences we had carefully planned well in advance were fully sold out. An entire purpose of our trip was ruined due to their complete lack of follow-through. The staff appear friendly, but they come across as extremely young, untrained, and unprofessional. The overall impression is gap-year teenagers running the place rather than competent hospitality professionals. For a weekend stay costing around €7,000, this level of immaturity and incompetence is frankly unacceptable. The restaurant experience was equally disappointing. Waiting a full hour for two soft-boiled eggs is absurd in any establishment — let alone one positioning itself as high-end. When the eggs finally arrived, they had forgotten a teaspoon, which then required another 30-minute wait. The service felt chaotic, careless, and completely lacking in basic standards. Communication in English was also deeply frustrating. When staff did not understand what was being said, instead of asking for clarification, they simply nodded and said “yes, of course,” only to disappear. There was no confidence that requests were understood, let alone executed. Overall, this was a shockingly poor experience for the price paid. The hotel markets itself at a premium level, but the service and professionalism were nowhere near that standard. It was not just disappointing but embarrassing."

"We had a wonderful stay here. It is cosy and just what we look for in a hotel. Location great, staff friendly and lovely lounge area. Room was good. We just had a couple of minor problems in the room, one we reported one of them being the TV not working, the other being the upper curtains on the top window would not open properly with the pull cord. My husband had to stand on a chair each time to open and close the curtains. There is room for improvement, the coffee table was damaged where people clearly put their feet up on the table with shoes(??) and the faux leather around the sofa meds was torn which is simple to rectify and just looks tatty. Aside of this we enjoyed our stay very much,"

"Rooms poorly designed and amenities not nice. Service was superficially obsequious but staff was mostly seasonal and not well trained in basic competence. Gym was not nice and not air conditioned even in summer. Pool closed needlessly early and lacked a hot tub which is odd at a ski-oriented resort."

"What to tell you? Maybe the best explanation is, that this hotel (or this type of the rooms) was not my ‘cup of tea’ First avoid attic rooms. They are not the same (smaller) like normal floor rooms. Also you will need time to learn how to deal with roof windows. There is no any privacy in the bathroom, everything is open. When you use toilet, in different room you must wash your hands… simply everything is complicated. Breakfast was only ok. The people there, are very kind and extremely professional. Also location of the hotel is perfect, next to the old city of a beautiful Megève."
