"The place is good for the price. The location is very close to the beach and restaurants, has a nice garden and pool, with lots of common areas to hang out in. The bed was comfortable and room decent with a nice balcony. They seem to only focus on cleaning the basics. I wish they’d clean a little bit deeper, and fix a couple of things because the place could be quite nice. There are some bugs - to be expected in a tropical, budget place but not too bad. Mainly there was lots of ants in the bathroom, and the walls aren’t properly sealed so it’s easy for the ants to get in. If they just did some very basic repairs, renovation and deep cleaning the place would be great. I’d still say it was good value for the location and I would stay there again if passing through Colombo."

"I came to their restaurant with my friends for dinner. We ordered some starters which were perfectly made. The sauce was also handmade which made it taste really different and special. Moving onto staff and the service, was excellent, very attentive even if there were guests inside the restaurant and also sitting outside. The atmosphere is a big highlight, where you are sitting right infront of the waves, we kept on stepping onto the sand while waiting for our main course. Definitely recommend to try their food!"

Food was well prepared and the staff made small changes to the menu when requested. I felt comfortable and safe staying at Tropic Inn which is located in a very convenient location.
