Mountain View Hotels in Litang

This guesthouse exceeded my expectations with its facilities. The pure solid wood decor combined with smart furnishings gave it a unique local ethnic charm. It had everything we needed: hot water, a kitchen, a fridge, a washing machine, and even an oxygen concentrator. For hikers, being able to wash clothes properly is incredibly important! The room was spacious and clean. Another thing I loved was how warm and friendly the hosts were. They invited us to try their special Tsampa for breakfast and gave us great advice. Any issues we had were quickly resolved. Staying here just made us feel so relaxed!

The guesthouse has a distinctive exterior, preserving the earthen walls of traditional ******* dwellings, and can be described as meticulously crafted. There are no other buildings within a 500-meter radius, making the environment top-notch. I hope to have a coffee at the café down the slope next time. This place is more than 300 meters lower than Litang County, which was easy for me to adjust to. While the room's diffused oxygen supply was effective, noticeably improving blood oxygen levels, the noise was a bit loud. Fortunately, I drove for six hours during the day, so it didn't affect my sleep. Because there are no other buildings around, and the nighttime lighting is very subdued, it's a great spot for stargazing. Unfortunately, there was a thunderstorm during the first half of the night I stayed, so I only managed to photograph the tail of the Milky Way around 4 AM. If you're going to Litang or Genie, this is a slightly roundabout route, but if you're going to Daocheng, it's a great place to rest.

The guesthouse is well-equipped with amenities such as an oxygen concentrator, humidifier, and smart toilet. It's located on Renkang Ancient Street, but parking is quite convenient. It's clean and hygienic, and the common area is also unique. It's a handicraft workshop run by a ******* auntie where you can experience folk activities and buy some small gifts to take home. It's very convenient, and temples and scenic spots are just a short walk away!

The room was beautiful and decoration good, but we have the really bad surprise to find the room dirty… At the first looking looks ok but toilets shower, the floor and most of the corner was so dirty. We asked to the women at the reception to do something and she was really reactive thanks to her. She send a team of 3 or 4 people to clean that was nice consider the late timing in the evening, they stay in the room maybe 30 minutes to clean but honestly was not ok at all they come with one mop and one rag for all the room … no product maybe.. same cloth for everything .. toilet avec everything ..? At the end we came back in the room we saw they tried to clean it but the floor smell sooo bad the wet dog. It was disgusting honestly so with my partner we had to clean after them at least the floor that smell sooo bad we took hot water and essential oil with a towel to clean the floor.. Thanks for the reactivity of the team but honestly the housekeeping team don’t do a correct job. Smell always really strong cigarette everywhere even in the room even if we don’t smoke. The common space are not very clean too. We were really surprised of the reviews that don’t mention this. They propose us to change room so we visit another room that was exactly dirty the same way… so I imagine it is not an exception. Again thanks to the women of the reception who did a good job and was nice.

The following is my true experience, and it's the most unforgettable memory of this trip. Before I could fully savor the majesty of Mount Genyen, I was deeply warmed by the kindness of my fellow Tibetans. Yesterday evening, our car had a flat tire on a remote stretch of road 16 kilometers from our hotel. I tried to contact the hotel, but to my surprise, the owner's son drove over immediately without a word. He brought not only professional tools for the 16-kilometer mountain road, but also hope in a desperate situation. He knelt by the roadside, skillfully changed the spare tire, and then safely brought us back to the hotel. By the time he finished, it was already 10 p.m., and he hadn't even had time to eat. We can't express our gratitude for this kindness. Today's breakfast brought this warmth to its peak. When the owner and his family served us steaming hot, home-grown butter tea, sweet barley cakes, and eggs, we felt like family. The sacred mountain and water of Genyen are breathtaking, but even more enduring than the scenery is the kindness of the hotel owner and his family. They made me believe that the most beautiful scenery in the journey is always the human heart.

I recently had a very pleasant weekend at this hotel. The receptionist was beautiful and had a great attitude. The room was also very comfortable. It was my first time in a high-altitude area, and I experienced some altitude sickness. The receptionist was very patient and helpful in finding solutions for us. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially the staff on the night shift – they were fantastic!

The owner's mom was incredibly hospitable, she even made me some tsampa for breakfast, which was delicious! The room was clean and beautiful. The restaurant had a distinct ethnic feel, while the accommodation had a minimalist style. Both the owner's mom and the front desk lady were so warm. Even after I checked out, they messaged me to be careful traveling alone. As a solo traveler in Litang, receiving a message like that really brought tears to my eyes.

The design of Tongle Ancient Town, blending ******* style with modern American aesthetics, is photogenic from every angle. The rooms even have large fireplaces; on cold days, lighting a fire, smelling ******* incense, sipping ******* tea, and soaking in a ******* herbal bath—there's nothing more blissful.

This is my fourth time visiting Genyen. I've explored both the Southern and 'C' routes. My first two trips were rushed, just quick photo ops. The third time, I stayed in Xiazetong Village, and this time, I chose Zeba Village. In my opinion, there are two prime locations for accommodations with the best views along Genyen's Southern route. One is the small wooden cabin on the road to Xiazetong Village, right below the Yilaka viewpoint. It offers stunning views of Genyen, Xiaozha, and Cameroon snow mountains. It's currently being upgraded into a luxurious large cabin, which is something to look forward to. The views from Xiazetong Village itself are pretty average, with the snow mountains partially obscured. The other prime location is Zeba Village, which faces Genyen directly and is very close. The Manxiangju, where I stayed this time, has an unbeatable location – I'd say it's the best in Zeba Village, no contest. It's very close to 'The One Tree' and Zeba Mystery. You can literally see the sacred Genyen mountain from your bed. My friend and I booked two rooms. Pulling back the curtains revealed breathtaking views. The proprietress thoughtfully provided a complimentary oxygen concentrator and nasal cannulas. All towels and bath towels were disposable. The room temperature was comfortable, and everything was very clean. The butler sister was incredibly warm and welcoming. The Sichuan chef cooked up some fantastic dishes. In the evening, we enjoyed Sichuan cuisine and a couple of drinks with friends in the restaurant, all while admiring the snow mountains. The hotel's parking lot also has charging stations, both fast and slow, which was very convenient for our hybrid car. Highly recommended!

The photo in the back mountain of the homestay is so beautiful...🥹🥹🥹🥹 It's almost ～～ The proprietress is very good. Seeing that we are cold, we are afraid that we will directly plug the hot tea oxygen generator without saying anything. We have ～ moved 🥹🥹 and electric blankets. The week here is very comfortable. ～ The burger and butter latte of the homestay are forced! ! ! There are a lot of meat stuffing, and the butter latte is very delicate. It is not comfortable to have a cup in this day.
