Mountain View Hotels in Reykjavik

A very good experience, the hotel has a sense of design, is exquisite and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. In particular, the Chinese lady at the front desk was patient and polite, spoke Mandarin very well, and helped us solve many problems. I would like to express my special thanks to her. The bedding is also very comfortable. It can be said to be the best among the many hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Northern Europe. Highly recommend this hotel

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel in Reykjavik! The location is an absolute winner, right in the heart of the city center. I loved the minimalist, modern glass facade design. It's perfectly situated in the 101 old town, within walking distance of most major landmarks. Our room even had a distant view of Faxaflói Bay and snow-capped mountains – just stunning! It was super family-friendly for traveling with kids. We were right by Rainbow Street and Hallgrímskirkja Church, with shopping and dining all within easy walking distance. Just a heads-up: The hotel doesn't have its own dedicated parking, so if you're driving, you'll need to use the paid municipal parking spots nearby.

The hotel is not in the city centre and it looks like a 20 minute walk to get there. However, on-site parking is free which you can't get from other hotels in the city centre. The hotel staff were all helpful and the included breakfast was pretty good. We had originally booked a Standard room, which turned out to be very small, and on the 2nd floor, facing the carpark and the main road. This meant that the room was quite noisy all through the night since the window had to be left open for ventilation. The next morning upon asking to change rooms, we were informed that all Standard rooms faced the road, so we paid to upgrade to a Superior room which was much larger, and faced the rear of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in the new room.

excellent location. slightly a bit dated: bedroom doors needed a bit of effort to close. Could hear wind howling in tiny bedroom window gap. spacious and with a kitchenette. When we checked in there was some condiments, oil, porridge leftover by previous tenants (we did not use) free parking wasnt really free, paid GBP16 for overnight parking

The official website advertised luggage storage, but it wasn't available, completely disrupting my travel plans. The staff's service was also very poor. The location is remote, with no proper roads for loading and unloading luggage; I had to carry heavy luggage up stairs covered in snow. However, the room was beautifully decorated, the heating was good, and the bathtub was nice.

Good value for money but the toilet design made it hard to shower without a great flood every time. Location was also a little far from the city centre and the weather made it hard to walk. Shouldn't be a problem if you book tours that pick you up directly from the apartment though.
