Mountain View Hotels in Ollantaytambo

The location is very convenient, walking distance to the town center restaurant, train station, Ouxingtai ruins. The room is large and the facilities are ordinary but adequate. Breakfast is simple, but very fresh, there are freshly made scrambled eggs, just cut avocado and so on. The staff are very friendly, especially the front desk brother has a strong working ability, very flexible, and quickly helps to solve various needs, including pick-up, call a tutu car, chartered tour of the San Valley to Cusco. And very human, went to Machu Picchu that day to return to the hotel late, sent a message to ask us whether it was smooth or not.

I stayed for one night on May 24, 2026. The room was clean as it was just renovated. The hot water in the shower also came out relatively quickly. Hair dryers can be rented at the front desk. It's about a 5-minute walk from the center of town, but at night I couldn't hear the lively sound of the center and it was good. There seemed to be no particularly dangerous place on the road to the hotel. At a family-run inn, my mother Gregoria doesn't speak much English, but the translation function of my smartphone made communication without problems. Mr. Gregoria was very cheerful and kind and made my stay very comfortable. I was happy to see you off at 4:15 the next morning when I checked out, I had a snack such as sandwiches and an inca-colorer. At the time of check-in, the hotel computer did not work normally and I couldn't confirm my reservation information, but it seemed that there was a new renovation effect, so I think there will be no problem in the future. I will stay next time if I have a chance.

The hotel is literally at the train station! Very convenient for taking train to Machu Picchu. However this is an eco lodge - 100 years old & it feels like that. There are no amenities to speak of, the onsite restaurant is very limited especially for vegetarian options.  The rooms are  bare with floors & bed that creaks!! (Did I say it’s a century old?) The bathroom is very basic and more like a 2* hotel. Level of furnishings is again basic.  I paid $425 for 1 night & felt badly conned. Definitely not worth that amount.  Service- receptionist & all staff are very warm n friendly so that was really nice.  Cleanliness- very clean hotel.

Beautiful hotel, I love it. Staff are friendly and courteous. The hot water in the hotel can be hotter. Next to my room is the breakfast area, and in the morning I hear the sound of utensil use and the sink outside the public toilet. The hairdryer needs to be borrowed at the front desk. Breakfast 7-9 is served, fried eggs or scrambled eggs are made. Coffee is also given to you by the staff. There are self-service bread, fruit, tea. Check out before 10. Staff gave me free luggage storage and I loved him. There is a coffee shop next to the hotel.
