"The location is great, close to Formosa Boulevard MRT station, making transportation very convenient. There are also plenty of food and drink options nearby, and Liuhe Night Market is within walking distance. For the price, it offers really good value for money. The only downside is that the soundproofing isn't great. However, if I visit Kaohsiung again, I'd still choose to stay here! 🤭"

"The room was very comfortable. On the evening of July 1st, around 8:30 PM, I had a severe stomachache due to an upset stomach and needed to see a doctor. As I was unfamiliar with the area and it was late, and unsure about the quality of nearby doctors, I asked a staff member if there were any doctors available. She mentioned a better clinic, though not in the immediate vicinity. She immediately called them to ask if they could treat gastroenteritis; the clinic closed at 9:30 PM. She then promptly called a taxi for me. I am so grateful for her help. I wanted to thank her when I returned, but I haven't seen her in several days, so I'm taking this opportunity to thank her here! 👍🙏"

"1) Excellent Service Staff: I'd like to especially commend the housekeeping aunties and restaurant staff. They were all incredibly kind, friendly, enthusiastic, and polite. 2) Unprofessional Front Desk Staff: After checking in at 11 PM on June 19th, I encountered an unfriendly front desk lady. I booked for 6 nights online, but her check-in efficiency was poor, and her attitude was arrogant with a bad tone. When handing over the room card, she informed me that I would need to switch rooms for the last 3 nights. When I asked why, she sugar-coated it by saying it was an upgrade. If it was an upgrade, why wasn't I upgraded from the start? When I chose not to switch rooms, she gave me an annoyed and impatient look. By the time I finally got into my room, it was already past midnight. It felt like I was paying money just to be upset. On June 25th, the male and female front desk staff at check-out were extremely friendly and kind. I hope next time I don't encounter that condescending woman who acts like the hotel owner; you are a 'service provider,' not an 'examiner.' 3) Great Location: It's a convenient 10-minute walk to the High-Speed Rail/MRT, making getting around very easy. The surrounding area has excellent amenities, so finding food is no problem. There are also hair salons, pharmacies, tea shops, convenience stores, and gas stations nearby. 4) Excellent Business Hotel Style: I really loved the design style of the room, primarily featuring wooden elements. It was simple, elegant, understated, comfortable, bright, and cozy. The room's hardware was equipped with practical business functions, allowing business travelers to relax and unwind. 5) Acceptable Hygiene: The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. However, the only drawback was that the bathroom had as many as 20-30 fly-like insects, similar to fruit flies. I asked the cleaning staff about it, and they dealt with it immediately. It seemed they were coming from the bathroom drain. I stayed for 6 nights, and they treated it twice, but a few stragglers still flew into the room. While this won't deter me from choosing Shui Mu again, I hope the plumbing in this room can be permanently fixed and optimized in the future to ensure subsequent guests have a more comfortable and pleasant stay."

"The bathroom felt incredibly clean! It had a bathtub, and I could take a bath without getting the surroundings wet. Just be aware there's no curtain. It's about a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Station, and the area is quite lively with people passing by. There's also a convenience store nearby! The entrance looks a bit like a multi-purpose building, but once you get to the 3rd floor, it's a really lovely hotel. The room was also very clean and spacious, more than enough for one person. For check-in, they just asked which site I booked through, and showing my passport was all they needed! The snacks provided with the coffee were delicious! You can leave your luggage after check-out, but it just sits out in the lobby."

"Hotel Review (Safety Concern): The hotel provided some small complimentary items like facial masks and instant noodles, which I understand are meant to create a pleasant experience for guests. However, I personally feel that no small amenities can outweigh a basic safety concern. The room was generally clean, but the bedding was not very comfortable — the duvet cover did not feel like pure cotton and was less breathable than expected. More importantly, the bed design is potentially unsafe. The headboard is made of hard wood with sharp, square edges and no cushioning. It is also positioned at a very low height — exactly where your head naturally moves when lying down. I accidentally hit my head quite hard, and I am still feeling pain even now. I chose not to raise this issue during my stay because I did not want to cause trouble. I understand everyone is working hard, and negative reviews can impact business. However, safety is something that should not be overlooked. I hope the hotel can take this seriously and consider making improvements. For future guests, please be extra careful when lying down."

"The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Liuhe Night Market, and just a few minutes' walk from Formosa Boulevard Station. The room was super clean, and despite its small size, it had a sofa, a TV, and essential amenities like a hairdryer. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush as they don't provide one. It was a great stay, and I'll definitely choose this place again when I'm back in Kaohsiung."

"This was my first time staying at this hotel. I heard online that it was renovated in 2025, so the facilities are very new and well-maintained. I even spotted an unused electrical box in the bathroom (it seems like they either pulled the wires for an outlet and left it there, or the renovation crew forgot to install the wiring in the bathroom). Overall, I had a good feeling about the place. I stayed in a superior double room. The bed was on a raised stone platform about five inches high, but it would have been more comfortable if the platform had carpeting. The bathtub faucet was quite slow; it took about 20 minutes or more to fill the tub. Honestly, I'd probably fall asleep waiting for it to fill, and it almost overflowed! This is the first hotel I've stayed in where the in-room refrigerator was a half-height, household-style fridge, and its cooling performance was excellent. That's definitely worth praising. I almost forgot to mention: I had some business to attend to in Tainan that day, so I couldn't check in before their 9 PM cutoff. I contacted them immediately, and they were able to process my check-in in advance. The key card was left at the front desk for me to pick up myself. They also offered luggage storage when I left. The service attitude was quite good, but it's a shame there's no restroom in the lobby! As for the location, it's quite convenient, right off the beautiful Island MRT station. Overall, I'm satisfied, and it definitely improved my impression. One quick note: the hotel is very close to Liuhe Night Market, just two blocks away, which is super convenient. There's also a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven nearby, so you won't go hungry! 🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻"

"The hotel is newly built and very clean. The towels and sheets were neat and odorless. The rooms do not have windows. If you want your room cleaned, you need to inform the front desk, otherwise it will not be done."

"Hotel location is convenient, there is an underground game room. Four floors high + one basement. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the built-in on each floor is the same. Only stairs do not have lifts, not suitable for the elderly and people with mobility difficulties."
