GGuest UserSmooth check in. Staff was helpful when I have questions about my booking and my room. Gave me options and solved my doubts. The room was upgraded and very spacious. Clean and nice services. Always good for a short stay in Silks.
I like their rooms design and the materials use also. Especially the toilet in bathroom. Will stay again

PpohkThis was my third stay at this hotel since its grand opening. I visit Kaohsiung about every six months, and overall the experience has been consistently pleasant. The facilities are well designed and maintained , and the staff are friendly and professional

There was one issue during this stay—the shower drainage was clogged, so I had to use the bathtub instead. This is something that ideally shouldn’t happen at all, but the hotel’s response was okay. They came to fix it next morning as it was late.
The soundproofing and AC are excellent. I especially enjoyed the hot spring and the gym, both of which are well equipped and relaxing. I didn’t include the buffet breakfast this time, as I preferred grabbing local drinks, buns, and snacks from the 7‑Eleven or FamilyMart just across the street as well as leaving room for lunch later.
The desserts at the lobby café were delightful, and the Japanese restaurant was absolutely divine. It’s just a pity that I didn’t know the omakase needs to be pre-booked. The restaurant doesn’t reserve seats for hotel guests or ask about this in advance, which was a bit disappointing. The set menu was very nice.
Overall, it’s still a hotel I enjoy staying.

GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing service. I had delayed flights and a long travel time. I had a concert the same day and just expected to be allowed to drop my bags and check in later. However the staff were so friendly, understood and allowed me to check in early, luckily my room was ready. It meant a lot to me, thank you! Best hotel I have stayed in a while, yummy breakfast and fabulous views.

location aside, room as very spacious and clean! staff are extremely helpful as well. would definitely stay again if i visit kaohsiung next time

TTifuMy previous excellent experience at the Grand Hotel Taipei led me to choose the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung this time. Although the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is a bit dated, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the surrounding environment is very peaceful. It also boasts a terrace with a wonderful view, and the hotel staff are very professional.

GGuest UserI told the landlord I would check in at 3 PM, but they hadn't provided the password by then, so I had to call to ask for it myself. Luckily, the landlord answered the phone quickly. There's no elevator, so climbing the stairs can be tiring if you're staying on a higher floor. The room was quite clean, and it's very close to the Liuhe Night Market, only a 5-10 minute walk away. The shower water was from a touchless electric water heater; it got cold towards the end of the shower. It would be better if there was a constant temperature; the water temperature kept fluctuating.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent and very convenient. For the price, it offers great value. The only downside is that the bathroom doesn't have a shower stall; there's just a large bathtub with a showerhead, so you have to stand in the tub to shower, which isn't very convenient.

JJerry_NgAlthough the price has increased by 20% during the Easter long holiday, the price is mid-to-high, and it is a good choice in the area, suitable for the whole family to relax. On the first night, the hotel was afraid that we would not have dinner when we went out, so they unexpectedly provided us with a hot meal. Although breakfast was provided, it was not delicious and was very simple. The home-style coffee machine was also very slow and there were too many people. After queuing up, I had to go out to find something to eat for the children at the end. There were small insects in the quilt of the extra bed, so I had to clean it myself. In addition, there are many animals and insects in the mountains. The Villa has a nice swimming pool, so you can first soak in the beautiful mountain scenery. There are alternating hot and cold hot springs. It is also very close to the cherry blossom forest. In addition, it is also close to places around the city. There are 7-11 and restaurants. You can do some activities before breakfast and in the afternoon. The scenery outside the pool is beautiful. Although the price is a bit expensive, it is still Very good experience.

EEwenOverall more than correct for the price spacious room, with a beautiful bathtub, clean and comfortable bedding, the place is quiet, well located, the staff is very friendly, however you should not be too demanding on certain details cleanliness of the room, particularly on certain walls and the presence of stains on the carpet, but for one night it remains very pleasant and more than adequate for the price and location.
