RRisingMinThe location is fantastic! The hotel staff were incredibly kind and provided excellent service. Plus, the entire mini-bar was complimentary and fully stocked. My only minor quibble, especially when comparing it to other five-star hotels at this price point, is that it might fall slightly short. Also, for environmental reasons, the hotel provides minimal toiletries, so it's a good idea to bring your own. Overall, though, I had a very comfortable stay and would absolutely visit again if I get the chance!

AAlfie&BillieThe hotel location is honestly perfect. It’s right next to Formosa Boulevard Metro station and the exit has an escalator so no worries if you have heavy luggage! The hotel lobby is pretty beautiful and the coffee bar is free. I was upgraded to the top floor of the hotel! Bathroom is nice and big. Bed is comfortable but the pillows are so soft — I ended up with some neck pain. Snacks and bottled water provided everyday in the room. Unfortunately the room is a bit dark even with all the lights on - and we found some hair in the room on the bed and in the carpet that did not match our hair colour so it must’ve been left behind by a previous guest or housekeeping. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet with many western and Asian options and the staff are very nice. Rooftop is beautiful at night for a drink. Walking distance to Liuhe Night Market for all the yummy foods! Highly recommend this hotel if you are in Kaohsiung! The city was lit up so beautiful for the TWICE concerts! Love Kaohsiung!

GGuest UserAbsolutely amazing service. I had delayed flights and a long travel time. I had a concert the same day and just expected to be allowed to drop my bags and check in later. However the staff were so friendly, understood and allowed me to check in early, luckily my room was ready. It meant a lot to me, thank you! Best hotel I have stayed in a while, yummy breakfast and fabulous views.

location aside, room as very spacious and clean! staff are extremely helpful as well. would definitely stay again if i visit kaohsiung next time

TTifuMy previous excellent experience at the Grand Hotel Taipei led me to choose the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung this time. Although the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is a bit dated, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the surrounding environment is very peaceful. It also boasts a terrace with a wonderful view, and the hotel staff are very professional.

There is no reception of “check in hours.” You are required to call a number or scan a QR to contact someone to receive check in information. This is a little inconvenient. Additionally, breakfast is provided but it is in the form of vouchers which need to be exchanged at a cafe 20 minute walk away. The check in information along with information on breakfast, WiFi, check out etc. Could have easily been provided via email or private message before arrival to make the process easier. The location however and room quality, cleanliness and amenities is first class and great value for money!

GGuest UserThe location is excellent and very convenient. For the price, it offers great value. The only downside is that the bathroom doesn't have a shower stall; there's just a large bathtub with a showerhead, so you have to stand in the tub to shower, which isn't very convenient.

EEwenOverall more than correct for the price spacious room, with a beautiful bathtub, clean and comfortable bedding, the place is quiet, well located, the staff is very friendly, however you should not be too demanding on certain details cleanliness of the room, particularly on certain walls and the presence of stains on the carpet, but for one night it remains very pleasant and more than adequate for the price and location.
