"Pretty much similar to other reviews really. The hotel is in a beautiful spot, with immaculate gardens, access to a lovely little beach and a great pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Very clean everywhere. Rooms are lovely and sea view rooms are great, as long as you aren't crammed into a corner room with a chain smoker on the balcony adjoining yours. We couldn't open our patio doors, as the stink of smoke filled our room each time we did. We had to practically lean over the balcony to get a sea view too. We asked to change rooms on the first day, but the chaps behind reception weren't interested. Asked again the following day and a lovely lady sorted it for us. There are fridges, but you could do with a kettle in the rooms really, but you could take drinks upstairs with you. The staff in bar and restaurant areas are hard working but the bar staff could do with some help, as only one was not enough during busy times. There were some big queues at times. Food in the buffet restaurant was plentiful and although not the best we've ever had, you could always find something to eat. All of the staff we had dealings with were friendly and really hard working. They all spoke multiple languages. Seating areas were very bare and not particularly comfy. We felt like we were sitting in a train station. Could do with some comfortable chairs and a more relaxing environment for playing cards or just sitting with a drink. The floors of the hotel are upside down, 1 being the highest floor and 6 being the ground floor, so that confused us all for the first few days. The bus stop is a fairly long walk from the hotel, so we ended up getting a taxi out and about. Make sure you book a return trip when you get to your destination, as you may have problems getting a return due to lack of taxis. We waited nearly an hour for one in Morrow Jable. Did we enjoy our holiday yes, would we return to this hotel probably not."

"On arrival reception where very welcoming and told us every thing we needed to know about the hotel, with us been a late arrival a late night meal had been made for us in the dinning room. The bedroom we had was very pleasesant and tidy with a view of the sea.Maid service was every day,Breakfast and evening dinner was varied but enjoyable (no bad meals at all)..The pool area was quiet and peaceful/relaxing with no music been played and always looked after with a life guard on duty at all times.Smoking was not allowed except for a designated area away from the pool, bar.dinning area and terrace which was a pleasure (even though I smoke myself). The holiday we had was brilliant and it all started with the hotel and staff and it's location. The hotel was so good that we haved booked it again for next 2025."

"What a fabulous place! From start to finish we felt completely spoiled in this beautiful hotel. We had a standard double room in a quiet area, plenty of space for everything, clean, housekeeping arrive 2-3 times per day, lovely shower, couldn’t fault it one bit. The food was absolutely the best we have ever had in any all inclusive. Steaks, duck breasts, fish and seafood cooked to order, the most amazing selections at breakfast, traditional Canadian dishes, fabulous salad and vegetable options, iberico meats, every cheese you can think of and even homemade pizzas, chips and nuggets for those who are less adventurous;) The al la carte restaurants were great, the teppanyaki in particular was a real treat…what an experience! Panoramic views from every area poolside, terrace bar was fantastic, poolside bar could be busy at times but there’s a self service area too. The hotel was full but never felt overcrowded, seating was never an issue. But there best thing about the whole experience was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, polite and always happy. On many occasions we would hear laughter among them, it seemed like a very nice environment to work :) Must give a little shout out to Aliou, Merlyn and raquel; everyone was awesome but they were the best! We got engaged out here and will be returning for our honeymoon, we’re already excited! But we’ll book longer next time, a week just wasn’t enough."

"We came at the end of June. It's a really nice hotel. We had a 2 level apartment room, near to the Reception, which was spacious, clean and really good. As the days went on, the hotel was filling up ( I definitely preferred it less busy ) The food is good, plenty of choice. For such a big remote hotel, the entertainment is poor. Kids disco, then alternate bingo, karaoke, disco. Finishes at 10, and it's a very small room. Staff are friendly and always helpful and work hard. We always got sunbeds. The area is remote, with just 1 little shop down the road. We got a taxi to the shopping centre/beach where there are a few nice restaurants, a Spar and tourist shops. Beach was €18 for 2 beds and an umbrella. We went to the Animal park which is a really good day, but expensive. You don't need to pre book. Taxi there is €18 each way. I would recommend this hotel if you like to just chill, but if you like to explore then it's very remote and the main features are an expensive taxi ride away."

"Simply put, I was disappointed by the ladies and gentlemen who organize Extra Adventures, dressed up in TUI clothing, because they don't even know what time the Kids Club opens. Yet they still sold me something, even though they knew I wanted to take my 5-year-old to the Kids Club at that time, while I wanted to go jet-skiing with my 11-year-old—but the Kids Club closed at 9 a.m. I also booked a car that was supposed to come to the hotel. Instead, they were supposed to pick me up from the hotel and take me somewhere else to complete the paperwork. This was, of course, problematic because the children were still asleep in the hotel room at that time. As a single father, this is understandably impossible for me. One particularly negative point is that all the sunbeds are permanently reserved (they start before 6 a.m.)—mostly by German citizens, who are always and regularly unpleasantly conspicuous."

"We had a really lovely week - was slightly nervous after some of the reviews but everything was great. We ended up upgrading to all inclusive as the drinks average at €7 and lunch was also more expensive than paying for all inclusive for the week. The rooms are incredibly spacious with loads of storage and you can connect your phone/ipad to the tvs so can watch Netflix etc.The breakfast buffet was amazing every day and the hashbrowns were our favourite thing, they also had a omelette making station which was delicious. The all inclusive lunch buffet which is served by the pool was always good, lots of food including burgers, hotdogs, chips, sandwiches, sweet pastries etc. At the pool bar there is an al a carte menu you can order burgers, chicken tenders, salads, poke bowls etc but even with all inclusive you have to pay but the food is amazing either way. Dinner wasn’t as great but always found something and my boyfriend enjoyed it every day. There’s always lots of activities with live music every night and the hotel is very child friendly with a kids club, mermaid school and face painting. The hotel is always clean and the staff are super helpful and welcoming. there’s a supermarket next to the hotel and the beach is only a few minute walk away. I think the people complaining are just looking for the negative things - it’s not a super expensive hotel so you can’t expect an amazing luxury 5* hotel but I actually think the hotel is not far from 5* quality. I really recommend!!!"

"Went with daughter - 8th - 15th June and splashed out on privilege. This was well worth the money ..... Room - lovely, big and had sea view - mini bar/coffee resupplied daily with chocolates delivered of an evening pool - approx 10 persons round the pool at any one time so really quiet - lifeguard checks that only privilege guests use the area - other pool was busy lounge - branded drinks and nibbles but only open until 8pm unlimited spa use but 'no 3' shower not working nor was hot stones A La Carte - very nice but air conditioning very cold and took forever to get served as only one staff member on Route 66 - great menu and ambience - definately recommend Main restaurant - food good overall although daughter did get one raw pork 'burger' and I had some partically cooked chicken. Salad okay but does get a bit soggy. Very very good for seafood, fish, etc. Desserts pretty basic. Drinks self service which is great in the restaurant - beer/wine/soft drinks Breakfast - OMG bacon horrendous but never starved as nice meats/pastries/etc Very windy for first couple of days but didnt detract from lovely sunny days and heated pools. Entertainment - pretty basic but ok for us Now for really negative feedback!! With privelige you have 'free' late check out rooms so bearing in mind this was early June and hotel was really not full we were told no rooms available but we could use the spa showers same as all other guests. We had been in the communal changing room when other people were using the 2 showers prior to leaving but these showers are used by spa users as well. The floor was soaking and we were expected to shower, and get ready to leave in a tiny room, with a very wet floor and at least 5 other people in there. At the height of the season this would be horrific for families trying to showers and get themselves ready. Some people were actually walking in their towels to the toilets to dry off and get dressed. Not a good look for a 4* hotel!! It was mentioned to reception by another guest but all they advised was to e-mail head office. There needs to be a separate room/s where slots can be allocated on a timed basis or a separate changing room with cubicles - I have been to many 3 and 4 * hotels who all have better facilities. Would recommend but to ensure your flight departure is early so you do not need late check out!"

" Exceptional Service The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. Every team member we encountered was incredibly friendly, hardworking, and always ready to help with a genuine smile, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Spacious and Spotless Accommodations We were very impressed with our room. It was exceptionally clean and far more spacious than we expected, providing a perfect, comfortable retreat after a day in the sun. Prime Location and Amenities The hotel’s location is unbeatable, perched on a rocky outcrop with breathtaking panoramic views of the golden Jandia beach. Having direct beach access and being just a short walk from the charming old town of Morro Jable made our daily outings so convenient. We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. Outstanding Gastronomy The food at the resort was truly exceptional. From the extensive morning and evening buffets featuring fresh live cooking stations to the excellent choices at the Krystal fusion restaurant, every meal was delicious, hot, and offered an amazing variety of dishes. What We Liked Best (and Least) Best: The combination of the warm hospitality from the staff, the sheer comfort of the large and clean rooms, and the fantastic, high-quality dining options. Least: If we had to mention one minor area for improvement, the gym is on the smaller side with a limited selection of equipment. While it serves for a basic workout, it is a bit modest compared to the high standard of the rest of the resort's facilities. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality getaway!"

"Recently returned home from a 2 week family break. We had a room on the 5th floor. Room was spacious, made up of 2 single beds and sofa, TV, small kitchenette with sink, kettle and microwave, good storage space in main area then a double bed in the bedroom. Bathroom was large with great shower. Room was immaculately cleaned daily. Balcony was huge with access from both main lounge area and the bedroom. Air-con felt great during the day but all four of us were sweltering every morning on waking. We felt like air-con doesn't work well overnight (if that is possible?!). We chose 9-9.45qm breakfast slot and 6-6.45pm evening meal slot. We was slightly late for evening meal on a few occasions due to meltdowns from 4yr old. Male staff at entrance of the restaurant disgruntled each time and told us we was late. I'll be honest, I ignored him each time. I understand why time slots are there, however, I did not like the pressure of being held to times on what is supposed to be a relaxing holiday. Food was okay, adults managed to eat well everyday. However, my son did not (this is not hotels fault). We did ask restaurant staff if they could make him chicken nuggets one night as I thought he would at least eat them (suspected Autism)..staff was very helpful and said she could whip up some turkey nuggets. They were delicious however, my son still wouldn't eat them but we was very impressed that we could request something that was not readily available and staff was more than happy to help. Pools were great with slides for the children and a large bouncy pillow in the main pool which was well used by both children and adults. Most lifeguards appeared to be very 'on it', watching children like a hawk, ensuring they were safe and being safe. Lots of activities throughout the day such as the water carpet, inflatable obstacle course on the water, aqua bikes/aerobics etc. Family day once a week where there are games dotted around pool area which included inflatable axe throwing, basketball etc. My son did not attend kids club as he did not want to. He was happy to play in the pool. However, if he did want to attend, I don't think I would have been confident in sending him. I am aware this may not be everybody's experience as I did see English children utilising clubs and joining in activities. However, during pool party evening, my son had his hand painted by entertainment staff and she was very abrupt with him. My son had few interactions with entertainment staff and each time, they seemed very abrupt with him. My son is not very confident with strangers, however, staff seem to take offence to this?! Entertainment was in indoors every night apart from pool party evening which was on Thursdays during our stay. The entertainment bar is extremely warm inside, does not appear to have air-con or if it does, it's not very good. Mini disco was delivered in German (I think?), so, my son was never aware of what was going on. Very little English language used.. however, th"

"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week in Jandía, Fuerteventura. Overall, we had a nice holiday, but there were a few positives and negatives worth mentioning. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The grounds were absolutely impeccable and clearly cared for by hardworking staff. Our room was lovely and the beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. However, the housekeeping wasn’t the best – our sheets weren’t changed during the entire week, which was a little disappointing. The food was actually very good. As with most all-inclusive hotels it did become a bit repetitive, but everything we tried was tasty and there was always something to eat. The staff throughout the hotel work incredibly hard and most of them were very friendly and welcoming, although some were definitely warmer than others. Entertainment in the evenings was okay but quite limited – it was usually only around two hours per night and not particularly memorable. One thing that might be important for other travellers to know is that the hotel – and much of Jandía in general – is very German-orientated. We didn’t realise this before we arrived. If you’re English and travelling with children, it might not feel like the best fit. We personally enjoy interacting with people and being part of the atmosphere when we travel, and we found that a bit difficult here. That said, the beach is absolutely stunning. We walked for miles along it every day and it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Morro Jable, which is a short walk away, is also fantastic with some great restaurants and bars. My husband is football-mad, and we managed to find a brilliant place showing the Premier League and Champions League – Buddha Bar near Burger King. The staff there were fantastic, really accommodating, and very friendly. Overall, we had a nice break and enjoyed parts of our stay, but it’s probably not somewhere we would return to. If we came back to Fuerteventura, we would likely choose a different resort that suits us a little better."

"We booked a family room and arrived at the kids bedtime. On entering the room it was clear the sofa bed was unmade and no bed linen was provided. I phoned reception at 19.20 and 19.35 to ask for the bed to be made. Both times I was assured someone would be there immediately. After the second call I went to the end of the corridor and got a spare sheet from the linen trolley. I made the bed myself. Once the kids were asleep with the duvet from the main bed I left my wife reading and went for a run. At 20.40 when I returned from my run no one from the hotel had brought any further bedding. At the point I went to reception in person. The second duvet was brought to the room 5 mins later. This was disappointing service from a hotel with the assigned star rating and pricing. I was offered a complimentary breakfast in a bag which I declined due to check in early."

"We spent a wonderful holiday here with our 1.5-year-old and absolutely loved it. The bungalows were spacious, clean, and well-maintained – you could tell they were a bit older, but everything was in great condition and very comfortable. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate our needs, especially with our toddler. It made a huge difference and allowed us to really relax and enjoy our time. The food was excellent – fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety. A special thank you to the restaurant manager, who was always kind, attentive, and truly made us feel at home during every meal. It’s that kind of personal touch that makes a stay memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for a young family, and we can definitely recommend it. We’d happily come back again!"

R2 Hotel Pajara Beach ★★★★
"An unforgettable week and a half at the R2 Pajara Beach & Spa hotel in Costa Calma, Fuerteventura, in March 2026! This unique, modern, well-maintained hotel boasts a unique location and design, an extensive outdoor and indoor recreational program, and a spa. Situated on a rocky stretch of the Costa Calma coastline, near the village center and a 12-15-minute walk from the famous Sotavento beach and lagoon. The reception and administration staff are the first to greet you and create a first impression – bravo! The team is highly professional, welcoming, prompt and accurate in their service, courteous, and friendly. We were also impressed with the professionalism and hospitality of all the other teams – housekeeping, maintenance, security, kitchen, bar, waiters, and the entertainment team. Of course, this is also thanks to the hotel management. My heartfelt thanks to everyone. The hotel offers everything for true relaxation, especially active recreation – for families, couples, and solo travelers. This unique hotel complex, featuring a waterfall inside the main building, is laid out in terraces and features a beautifully maintained park-garden with fountains outside. It impresses with the functionality of all its rooms and outdoor facilities, including a diverse outdoor recreation area with several swimming pools (one heated), sports grounds, a spa, a mini-club, and more. Parking is available. A company specializing in scuba diving and snorkeling is located on the hotel grounds. Windsurfing schools are located nearby. The main building offers a fitness center, a cozy small library, a computer area, multifunctional lounges, and bars, including one with a panoramic view of the bay. All facilities are ergonomically designed, eliminating the feeling of overcrowding, noise, and fuss. Instead, they offer a sense of comfort, spaciousness, light, and relaxation. Most rooms offer stunning panoramic views of the sea and the park-garden with pools and fountains. The hotel room is modern, spacious, and has everything you need, a very comfortable bed and pillow, and excellent soundproofing. All-inclusive meals were a great experience. The food was fresh, delicious, and varied, featuring renowned dishes from Spanish, Canarian, and Latin American cuisine. Kudos to the chefs! Thanks also to the waiters – the change of dishes, cleaning, and setting the tables were quick and discreet, and their interaction with guests was professional. So, see you again in June,R2 Pajara Beach & Spa!"

"TA members from the UK will notice that there not many reviews on this hotel so forgive me if I post a long summary of the hotel and its facilities We arrived for a 5 night stay with Jet 2 and the transfer took one hour twenty minutes which allowing for one drop off in Costa Calma and three as we entered Jandia did not seem too bad. The front of the hotel is not grand but walking through the door and its like a different world. Only one other couple got off the coach with us and we beat them to reception where we received a quick check in and a drink . A friendly porter took us and our luggage to our room (315) and gave a quick explanation of how the free safe worked. Ours was a pool view room and I had asked for a room off the ground but we could still see the sea from the balcony. Our room was spacious with 2 single beds, a settee, chair, fridge, TV, kettle and plenty of draw and hanging space. The bathroom had a walk in shower, bidet, hair dryer, toiletries and good sized bathroom towel. On the balcony was 2 chairs and 2 sun loungers and was very private unless you stood right on the edge. The room was very quiet except in the bathroom where you could hear voices from somewhere else in the hotel. The TV only had a couple of English speaking news channels, one English speaking film channel but on some channels you can change the audio to the original recorded language if English. The air conditioning is good and sometimes we needed to turn it off. The restaurant is on the ground floor so there are some tables to eat outside and notices ask for men to wear long trousers. ( More of that later). Many tables are for 2 only because this hotel seems to be popular with mature couples and the food is by way of a buffet. The hotel only has 214 rooms so there is not the widest choice of hot food available at dinner but there is show cooking for fish and meat. Breakfast has omelettes to order , egg, bacon, small sausages and sometimes beans as well as cold meats etc. Service is excellent, coffee at breakfast brought straight away to your table as you sit down and tables cleared and reset straight away. At dinner your drinks order is taken quickly and I was surprised what good value the drinks were for a 4* hotel. House wine 4 euro for a decent sized glass and a 750 mil bottle 18 euro. Not all waiters speak good English as their second language but their enthusiasm for their job outweighs any mistakes. There was never a queue in the evening for tables There does not appear to be any day time entertainment activities, not even Aqua Aerobics but there is nightly entertainment 6 nights a week. This is either a singer/s, acrobats or dancers, some are quite good. Table service at night in the bar and attendance varies but the stools at the bar are very popular. There is a Spa offering massages and beauty treatments. There is an indoor pool with a reasonable temperature, sauna and steam room. The latter was popular and I find it great to sit in the buff i"
