Great
GGuest UserQuiet! It feels convenient for everything, there are bars, restaurants, and amusement equipment. There are also places for children to play in the water. It is worth recommending and suitable for family travel, leisure and sightseeing.
AAnonymous UserThanks for a great experience during our stay. We had a spacious family room including a queen bed, a single bed and double bunk. The kitchenette had equipment beyond the norm. There was plenty of natural light from full length windows near the balcony. We easily walked to cafes and supermarket.
GGuest UserThe Holiday Park Hotel in the Big 4 Balarit gold mining area is located near the gold mining town tour area. The hotel garden is large and the facilities are relatively complete. The room was quite new and the bed was big and comfortable. It felt cold at night and the air conditioner was turned on.
JJenna00The Hotel was good last time we checked in, but this time theres a man’s body spray smell when we entered the room. Not sure why. The rest all are good. Hopefully they would include toothbrushes there like myself I forgot my toothbrush last night and shops are closed in a small town.
GGuest UserAppreciated the 24 reception services. It is helpful when we travel by public transport as we can’t control the time.
Very happy with the location as it was very convenient. Breakfast quite healthy.
Clean rooms.
Having warm globes and an exhaust fan in the bathroom would be useful .
XXieyinghuaThe hotel is quite close to the Gold Rush town area; there's practically a path leading directly from within the area. Especially if you're participating in the Gold Rush town's aura activities, the evening shuttle will take you to the closest point on foot to the hotel.
However, I opted to park my car in the Gold Rush town entrance parking lot during the day, and then retrieve it afterward and drive to the hotel entrance to check in. Both options seem quite convenient.
As for the hotel itself, the exterior resembles a rural Australian building from the last century, likely an intentional attempt to match the Gold Rush town's vintage style.
The rooms are more like the style of European or American school campuses I've seen before, with red brick walls, and even the bedding and bathroom feel quite similar. Overall, it's decent, the interior is acceptable for its price, which is quite reasonable for the Ballarat area.
There's no 24-hour front desk; you have to call and wait for someone to come to check in and out. This seems to be common in many places in Australia.
JjennifererererThe hotel is located in the center of Ballarat. It was founded in 1853 and still retains the 19th century decoration style. As a historic hotel, the overall environment of the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are well maintained.
The hotel staff is very enthusiastic and will introduce the various facilities of the hotel in detail when checking in.
Parking is available at the door of the hotel, and you need to pay for more than one hour during the day. The hotel also has an old-fashioned elevator that makes people feel like traveling through history.
