Amazing
BButterchocolateyStayed for 1 night at the hotel and everything was perfect. Feeling welcomed at the door with the staff greeting us and checking with our booking, followed by a welcome matcha and mochi then the check-in procedures. Since we booked the plan with dinner and breakfast, we got the time to enjoy the public bath area before heading to the restaurant for a scrumptious dinner, with sunset as the backdrop. Breakfast on the next day is also a pleasant surprise with the Japanese set breakfast and free flow on pancakes that you can make on your own at the pancake machine, which is a satisfying if you crave for a taste of Western style breakfast. I would love to stay in this hotel again when revisiting Okinawa next time!

AAiziI stayed from August 21st to August 23rd. The toilet overflowed during my stay. I had been bothered by the smell since day one. The toilet looked nice and clean, but the smell was unavoidable and I thought maybe the water pressure was weak. The morning of the second day, the toilet started to drain poorly after use and finally overflowed. I contacted the front desk, and a worker and cleaning staff came, cleaning and performing emergency repairs. They politely apologized, but that was the end of it. I was sure that the person in charge would apologize and explain the situation later, but nothing happened, and when I checked out, there was no ”apology for the inconvenience.” This is probably because the staff were not informed of the issue. I have never experienced a toilet overflowing during a stay, and it should never have happened. I think they should have taken appropriate action, such as changing my room. This is because every time I use the toilet during my stay, I worry, ”What if it won't flush again?” and it's disgusting to see sewage overflowing onto the floor. Even if it was busy season and a room wasn't available, I think a polite apology is only natural. I have to wait in the room until it's cleaned, which takes up a lot of time. More than anything, it was something that deserved to ruin what should have been a fun time, and I can't believe they were okay with such rude treatment. It's beyond normal. Was it because I was a guest who booked through an overseas website? As we were staying to mark our anniversary and had children with us, I didn't want to make a fuss and so gave up and kept quiet, but this was among the worst possible hotel behavior and I was disappointed.

WWendy1011002Hoshino Resort offers a really comfortable environment. Even if you arrive late, there are food trucks outside and dining options available within the hotel. Plus, you'll find a few shops and convenience stores nearby, all within walking distance. Because it's a bit suburban, it's not noisy at all, making it very peaceful. However, this location is definitely more convenient if you're traveling by car.

BBanlimamaI was initially very pleased with the hotel's location. The pool and beach facilities were excellent, and there were also two breakfast options. However, the only truly unpleasant experience occurred during check-in. The young male staff member at the front desk was incredibly unprofessional. The check-in process took a full 45 minutes, and I was almost on the verge of heatstroke from standing there so long! After finally checking in, I wanted to quickly freshen up with a shower, but then waited another 30 minutes in the room for my luggage. I eventually went back to the front desk to inquire about my bags, only to find them unceremoniously dumped in a corner, completely unattended. It was only after I made a forceful complaint in English that a staff member hurriedly delivered the luggage to my room. Because I formally submitted a complaint, a staff member later proactively contacted me and offered water park coupons, which showed they were taking the matter seriously. Given we were a family with elderly parents and young children, traveling during the peak summer heat, I appreciated their effort to rectify the situation, as I really didn't want any more hassle. Aside from that, the remainder of our stay was quite pleasant. Although the room facilities were noticeably dated, they were acceptable.

SSharon Tang (Sharon 852)This hotel is motel style kind of resort with private beach, expensive but cheaper than the other similar hotels in the Onna area which are also by the beach. I had a ground floor room so didn't have a view (garden view) but if you stay in the upper levels you should get a view of the ocean and beach. The beach is just a few minute walk behind the hotel, and is a small secluded beach with a little reef and is quite lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, the decor is dated though. Each room has a patio. You can buy snorkelling gear from the small lobby, and there is a small hotel restaurant which serves decent buffet breakfast. I chose this hotel because of the price and also it is close to Cape Maeda where the blue cave is, but you can also do a little snorkelling at the private beach too. It is more convenient to drive there, but they charge 100 yen a day for parking.

CC cowThe service was great! Every corner of the hotel room AND the bath area are squeakly clean. I could say that the bath area was even cleaner than most of people houses. The shower head power was incredibly strong, I could wash my hair 2x faster than normal showers! Parking area was huge and convenient. The bedroom was super cozy, the beds were comfy too but if you need extra spaces for maybe your family, theres extra futon for you to use (although you have to ask the counter and pay). Overall I really enjoyed staying over. I was suprised during my stay, there were barely any customers which made my bathing experience extra enjoyable.

TTraveller4444If you’re traveling solo and are not planning on staying in a resort then I’d definitely recommend here. Very convenient location which can be accessed directly from the airport using the Okinawa airport shuttle. Right next to the beach and a 7/11 with restaurants also close by. If you’re not renting a car you can also use the local bus services to go both north and south. Overall a very good experience staying here

TTezpezMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort PMC. The location is convenient if you have diving plans, with the diving drop-off point right next to the hotel. There's also a surf and diving shop and school below where you can ask about lessons and equipment. Although we had already booked our diving elsewhere, it was just an 8-minute drive away, and they even drove us back to the hotel, which was a bit amusing. Overall, the stay was fair, but there are a few things to note. After 11 AM, the elevator is not available, and the parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. However, there's a 24/7 convenience store just across the street, which is very handy. The ground floor has a washing machine that all guests can use. After 11 PM, you have to use the stairs, which can be a bit scary as there's no light. The hotel has a kitchen, but it lacks basic utensils. For the price, I felt like I could have picked somewhere better, but the location and amenities were decent enough for our needs.

GGuest UserThe room looked clean, but when I walked to the tatami place to see, it was actually full of hair and a lot of sand dust, and then carefully checked the entire room floor, I can only say that there is a lot of dust, a lot of sand and a lot of hair! I can't believe it..... Later, I wiped the floor all over, and the pillow shook the dust before I had a way to rest and would not choose to stay again.

Tthat DamianExcellent location and service, the location is superb, being close to not only beaches, but also in-between Yomitan and Onna (and OIST university, if you'd like to visit your friends). There's also a combini right next doors(!. Cape Maeda, Zakimi Castle is also all at cycleable distance!
