"Every moment here was absolutely wonderful! They were very accommodating with my requests, all the staff were friendly, and the room was quiet, clean, and had an incredible view. The breakfast was also well-prepared, compact, and tasted excellent. It's close to the First cable car, there's a supermarket right in front, and it's not far to walk from Grindelwald station. If I go again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. For all the Koreans traveling to Switzerland, if you go to Grindelwald, definitely try staying at this hotel!"

"I ended up booking a hostel bed because it was the only option left, and honestly, I was dreading it beforehand. Little did I know, my 'dream hill' would turn into a 'nightmare hill'! So, I accidentally missed my train in Switzerland (maybe couldn't find it, or got off at the wrong stop), which meant a 30-60 minute delay... and then I missed the hostel's last bus. I thought, '15-minute walk, no big deal, a little uphill is fine.' But it wasn't just a simple uphill, it was an incredibly steep climb! Dragging a 40lb suitcase left me utterly defeated. The front desk guy was busy checking in other guests (yep, only one staff member there), so he couldn't come help me halfway up the mountain until after 10 PM. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service who kept me company on the phone during that time (it was so quiet on the hillside, not a soul around)... When I finally got to the hostel, I found out it was mixed-gender dorms. First time sharing a room with a bunch of guys, scared me to death! 🤯 The snoring was... well, hilarious haha 😂. Still, I'm grateful. That luggage was seriously heavy; I spent 7 minutes hauling it up the mountain, completely exhausted and burnt out. The next day was my birthday, and the front desk guy, with a bright smile, wished me 'Happy birthday,' as if last night's nightmare had truly just been a dream."

"A wonderful stay and highly recommended. Our room with a view was beautiful, and even with lots of tourists during the day, it stayed completely quiet once we closed the windows. It’s also just a three-minute walk to the train station. There was a handy spot to heat up food or eat takeaway, right next to the gorgeous scenery. When I left a piece of clothing behind at checkout, the staff had it wrapped and ready when I came back. Thank you so much."

"Great location, just a 2-minute walk from the train station, and right outside is the bus terminal. I arrived in the morning and was able to store my luggage first. The hotel also provided a free bus pass. The room facilities are excellent, and there's even a balcony where you can see snow-capped peaks on a clear day. Breakfast was also very good. The only downside is the shower/bathtub design; the glass screen only covers about 30% of the tub, and the seal at the bottom isn't tight, so a lot of water splashes out when you shower, leaving a large wet area on the floor."

"The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!"

"Best part of my Europe trip! Firstly, the location is really good, it is right beside the Grindelwald Terminal station, which is really well connected to all the tourist spots of the Jungfrau region and also the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen areas. The view was the best part of the stay. Shoutout to Benjamin! He got us Room 301, from which the Eiger North Face was right in front of the room balcony. The room was really good too, a bunk bed and 2 single beds. One thing you should know is that the shower area has no door lol. Amenities were just a hand soap and a body wash. They have laundry machines for 5CHF, a great breakfast spread, a community hall with billiards table and a mini kitchen. There's also a great grill and bar restaurant open till 9pm. There's a Coop in the terminal, but it closes by 7pm, had all the essentials. I'm definitely coming back to Eiger Lodge Chic and asking Benjamin for a room!"

"This hostel boasts an unbeatable location, just a minute or two's walk from the Grindelwald Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning. You can gaze upon majestic snow-capped mountains and lush green slopes, a truly magnificent and healing view. The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience. The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped. Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice."

"This hotel exceeded my expectations and was the most satisfying stay of my entire trip to Switzerland. **Service:** The hotel staff were very welcoming. Each guest received a complimentary welcome drink, which you could pick up at the bar. "The hotel is located high up on a hill, offering great views on a clear day. It's also very close to Grindelwald station. Before check-in, the owner emailed me to fill out my personal information in advance, but it was a bit tricky to do, so I figured it would be easier to just fill it out at the front desk when I arrived. However, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was quite displeased and deliberately made me wait for a long time, claiming that if I had completed the online form beforehand, I wouldn't have caused such a delay. All in all, despite that, it's a charming local chalet with beautiful weather and scenery, making for a great experience."

"The hotel location couldn’t have been better. Just a short stroll from Grindelwald train station, the hotel sits right in the heart of the village, with shops and a supermarket practically at the doorstep. It made exploring the Jungfrau region effortless — whether hopping on a train to the mountain passes or simply wandering through the charming streets. What really stood out was how well the hotel is equipped. The amenities went beyond what I expected, even compared to my previous stay at an upscale property in Lucerne. Breakfast was sumptuous . Each morning, we enjoyed a generous spread in a bright breakfast room with lovely views of the surrounding peaks. Overall, Hotel Central Wolter offers good value for money.
