"The most beautiful Homestay I have been to in all of China. The staff were so kind and helpful, assisting us with free transport to the scenic area, free laundry, and we're so attentive. The breakfast was great with good variety. They even gave us a free upgrade upon arrival and our room was stunning for a low cost. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants but that didn't bother us at all as it was a perfect quiet retreat. We wished we could have stayed longer, highly reccomend, thank you so much!!! 🩷"

"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"

"The hotel is very new, and the room was much larger than expected. It's perfect for families with children, and there's plenty of space even if you have a lot of luggage. Plus, it has a bathtub, which the kids absolutely loved. The hotel is located in a newly developed area, and we even discovered a really good restaurant nearby, which was super convenient."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few hundred meters from the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The owner was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, giving us great recommendations for local food – we followed their advice and didn't have a single bad meal! The room facilities are complete, and all the hardware is from well-known brands. The bathroom was clean and odor-free. The rice noodles and coffee for breakfast were also delicious. Even during the May Day holiday, the prices weren't ridiculously inflated. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the Huangguoshu Scenic Area."

"The homestay is close to the scenic spot and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and forests. It is super convenient to travel. The boss is warm and caring. If you have any needs, you will respond to the service in time. The whole house is spotless. The washing area and the room hygiene are particularly meticulous. The sound insulation effect of the room is good. The rest is completely undisturbed. The decoration is simple and comfortable. Excellent view of the landscape outside the window, comfortable living"

"This hidden gem of a guesthouse tucked away in the mountains was such a pleasant surprise! The private forest swimming pool is truly the highlight – the water is crystal clear, surrounded by towering trees and stone walls, with lush greenery everywhere. Lounging by the pool or swimming feels like being in a natural oxygen bar. The architecture is an eco-friendly stone and wood style, creating a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. The amenities are excellent too, with a large car park equipped with EV charging stations, making it stress-free for those driving. The guest rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, so you open them right up to greenery. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer great privacy. The staff provide gentle and attentive service. There's none of the city noise, just the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. It's the perfect place to escape the summer heat and relax, ideal for both swimming and unwinding. It's definitely on my list for a second visit!"

"Facilities: The hotel is a fair distance from the entrance to Huangguoshu, but it offers a car shuttle. We drove there ourselves. We traveled off-peak, so we were picked up in the afternoon of the first day. Pick-ups are closed after 9 PM, so please be mindful of your schedule. However, there are many Qingju electric bikes in Huangguoshu, which was very convenient. We rode them back home on our first night. Cleanliness: I highly recommend it! Excellent! However, we were exhausted that day and left early the next day, so we didn't use the shower. The toilet was very good, with alcohol wipes provided for self-wiping. Environment: We stayed on the 7th floor. The window offered a mountain view, but that wasn't particularly useful for a special forces unit, as we didn't have time to see it. The elevator didn't indicate which floor it reached, which was a bit inconvenient. Service: I highly recommend the hotel front desk. We arrived that afternoon to avoid peak traffic and head to the Great Falls, but it rained heavily. The beautiful receptionist waited until the rain subsided to let us know and then took us there. The front desk, the handsome guy who escorted us, and the handsome guy who parked our car were all excellent! The service was impeccable! In short, if you are not so picky about the hotel's location, this hotel is worth staying at!"

"Yinshan Wangyue Homestay (Hidden Mountain Moon-Gazing Homestay) was definitely the most impressive, satisfying, and memorable accommodation during our 5-day Guizhou trip. We stayed for two consecutive nights, and our whole family absolutely loved it! ☺️ The homestay's overall design felt as warm and inviting as home. The room was very spacious. To the left of the entrance, there was a designated spot for luggage. Then, a large living room with a comfortable sofa and a rug came into view. Next to the sofa, there was even a cozy little tent set up for the kids, making them feel safe and secure. To the right of the sofa, a bar counter and a small refrigerator were cleverly designed, and the fridge even had complimentary cold drinks. The sleeping area featured a tatami-style setup, which was convenient for the children to get in and out of bed. The shower and toilet were separated, and there was also a bathtub. The kids absolutely loved it! ☺️ They also provided children's toiletries and disposable slippers (which were very comfortable). The 6th floor also had a gym and a laundry room (with a washer-dryer combo), all fully equipped. It was clear how thoughtfully everything was considered~ The homestay's manager (who previously worked in hotel management for a large corporation) and the lovely owner (who loves marathons and trail running) both pay great attention to detail. From the anti-collision corner protectors in the children's pool to the umbrellas and lounge chairs by the poolside, the adult and children's books arranged in the sunken reading area of the lobby, the projector setup in the leisure area, and even the cute cartoon elements on the bathroom walls that kids adore – all these details show that they genuinely care for every guest. They truly think of all these small things for everyone. Breakfast was served right at the homestay, which was incredibly convenient for our family traveling with elderly parents and children! 👍🏻 The breakfast selection was also quite rich, healthy, and nutritious~ We hope Yinshan Wangyue Homestay continues to thrive. The next time we visit Guizhou, we will definitely 'come home' again! ☺️"

"The room was clean and close to the scenic area. Most importantly, the owner was incredibly kind. When we arrived at the hotel after dinner, he even borrowed a tram for us so we could go out to eat. The next day, he also took us to the scenic area and helped us with our luggage when we left. He even recommended places to eat and offered to take us to the bus station. The owner was absolutely amazing, and the room was great value for money."

"The experience of staying at the homestay this time was really beyond expectations! The location of the homestay is excellent, the surrounding transportation is convenient, and it is super close to the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The windows of the room are bright and clean, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the facilities are all available, the decoration style is warm and stylish, and people are instantly relaxed. The boss is also very thoughtful, from check-in guidelines to travel advice are meticulous. The most pleasant surprise is that the scenery outside the window of the hotel is also very nice, I will definitely come again next time!"
