"As many other guests have mentioned, the staff’s friendliness, professionalism, and warm smiles were truly outstanding. We booked a town-view room, so we had already given up expecting any ocean view. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room still offered a view of the sea. The hotel is conveniently located, with many restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Our room was on the second floor, but we were hardly bothered by any noise at night. The front desk staff were also very helpful in arranging a rental motorcycle and a van for our return trip. The prices were fair, and the process was easy and convenient. This was truly a wonderful hotel with an exceptional team of staff. Thank you very much for making our stay so enjoyable."

"The best hotel experience! My partner and I were greeted with friendly faces as soon as we walked in, with cold facecloths to cool us down. The receptionists remember your name, and make booking tours, transport and other arrangements so easy! We booked tours, motorbike rental and even spa appointments through the front desk. My partner and I accidentally overbooked our stay, but the hotel allowed us to use the overbooked nights as credit for any bookings through them. The hotel is so clean, air-conditioned and well maintained, including room service. All the staff are so lovely and helpful with any questions and concerns. The location of the hotel is very close to the port and town, with short walking distance. I highly recommend staying at this accommodation to streamline your experience in el nido! "Staying at Happiness Hostel was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with a social vibe that makes it easy to meet fellow travelers. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel at home, offering helpful tips about El Nido and arranging tours with ease. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a simple but cozy design. The common areas are well-maintained, and the on-site restaurant serves delicious food at fair prices. Location is another big plus—right in the heart of town, close to the beach, shops, and nightlife, yet still relaxed enough to enjoy downtime. What really sets this hostel apart is the sense of community. It feels more like staying with friends than just booking a bed. For budget-conscious travelers who want both comfort and connection, Happiness Hostel is a perfect choice."

"Got a free room upgrade upon check in.. The view from the sky lounge/pool deck is spectacular. You get free bottled water (1L) everyday... Breakfast is good with variety of options. They offer transfers to and from Hotel- Town if you want to save ₱150."

"Sea view room is on the third floor, a few palm trees in the way but you can still see the sea properly. Breakfast at the restaurant facing the water, go early and it’s not too busy. Hotel guests can also use the pool and gym in the glamping area next door, though it’s a bit of a walk and the pool is on the smaller side. When I got there the sun loungers were all taken, so I ended up at the free beach loungers instead. There’s open water right there, so honestly it worked out better. The bathroom is narrow and shower only. If you don’t want to get your hair wet there’s a good hairdryer provided, which helps."

"The hotel looks nice from the outside, but everything inside felt dirty and poorly maintained. Initially, we were put in a room overlooking vents and a noisy street, even though we had specifically requested a quiet room when booking. The hotel was accommodating and moved us to a different room. However, I have to say, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear everything happening outside very clearly. Especially the motorcycles going by and the rooster crowing in the mornings! The cleaning was terrible – everything was dusty and grimy. And they'll only clean your room if you remember to hang the 'make up room' sign on the door. Breakfast was a letdown; the selection was very limited. The cheese was awful and clearly the cheapest kind. There was no cold cuts or ham. Breakfasts here felt more like lunch or dinner. You're better off going to local cafes for breakfast. On the positive side, the location is good, and the pool area is beautiful with a fantastic view. This hotel might be suitable for a short stay, but definitely keep the aforementioned issues in mind."

"This hotel is really, really great, I loved it! Even though I stayed in a shared four-person room, it didn't bother me at all because almost every day (from morning till evening) we were out on excursions or somewhere else. The staff are friendly and caring, rooms are cleaned daily, and the showers and toilets are communal (but there are also a few separate stalls just for women). The breakfasts are delicious and varied – I would fly back to the Philippines again just for these breakfasts! Because here, I only had truly good food three times: first in Cebu, second at the hotel's breakfast, and third at an Italian restaurant in El Nido, that's it! In the shared room, you get a towel, a locker with a lock, and a large bed (unlike other similar hotels). I'm thrilled!"

"* Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit in our villa was not properly maintained. The filter was extremely dirty and clogged, causing excessive noise and poor performance. We had to clean it ourselves in order to use it. * There is little to no mobile signal in the area, and the WiFi connection has been unreliable due to ongoing maintenance, making it very difficult to stay connected. * There has been significant noise disturbance from construction work directly behind our villa, including the use of loud power tools throughout most of the day over several days. * We were only informed about a wedding taking place upon check-in. As a result, we were unable to use the sunbeds located outside our villa and had to relocate further away. Also due to the wedding taking place, the hotel had to make many soundchecks during the day before, playing very loud music which made it hard to relax on the beach. The wedding guests (80+ people) were allowed to use the villa next to us, as their designated toilet, which caused a lot of back and forth from the weddings guests right by our villa. This made it difficult to relax. * Additionally, we find that the restaurant prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food. For example, breakfast at 800 PHP did not meet basic expectations, as even simple items such as cheese and ham for bread were missing. I’m also sorry to say that the chicken adobo is tasteless, and on the menu it says the menu has been created by a Michelin chef. My mango daquiri tasted only of alcohol, so I had to ask for one with less alcohol. As a certified bartender, that is unacceptable. Even the French fries were not done properly as they needed more time in the oven (I think that’s what they used to make them at least, I would prefer if they were fried in oil though). However, very good mango shakes. * We would also like to mention that the access roads leading to the property are in very poor condition. The roads consist mainly of uneven gravel and are full of deep potholes, which make driving quite difficult and uncomfortable. In some areas, it is only possible to drive at around 10 km/h due to the condition of the road. We believe that the roads would greatly benefit from proper maintenance or being paved with cement, as this would significantly improve accessibility and the overall guest experience. We understand that some of these issues may be temporary or unforeseen, but taken together they have had a significant impact on our stay. However I would really like to highlight Hazel from the reception at the Nacpan Beach Villas. She was really sweet and thorough when we had any questions and went the extra mile for us. She deserves a raise. Please let her know we were really happy with her and really appreciated her."

"Staff are very accomodating and efficient. Bfast can be improved. Thou i understand that it's a boutique hotel but given it's price range, i think they can improve to upscale the bfast menu."
