"The resort is very good of course. But here’s my complaint … In our first night at the resort I got very sick and my wife and I (celebrating our 39th anniversary) had to be rushed back to Manila the next day for an emergency operation. The Hotel was very aware of my situation. When we left, we asked if we could have some credit for our remaining two nights. They told us it was up to the booking agency, so we would have to talk to TRIP. So we did. That turned out to be untrue. Trip said that had to ask Hennon Resorts! So they did. But the resort said no refund or credit possible. The agents of TRIP were very accommodating and tried TWICE to help with a credit or refund. At the end of the day it was Hennan who didn’t care about our circumstances. While we do understand policies, we also are business people, and we understand caring about your customers too. It seems to us that the Henan resort management cares about just one thing… getting your money. They got paid for the room which we did not use for two nights; it would’ve been perfectly appropriate the credit us two nights, and invite us back. Kudos to TRIP for giving us some credit points (over $100 worth) in our account to reserve a room of our choosing in the future as a consolation."

GGuest UserThis is my first trip to Boracay and Feliz Hotel made my experience more wonderful. Our room was so nice and clean plus the food was great. They also have complimentary drinks during check in plus fire dance show every Friday to Sunday. Would definitely book here again once I come back to Boracay!

CCallum TOverall a disappointing stay with Crimson. It started off bad and really never improved sadly. Our flight into Caticlan was delayed 5 hours, arriving at 19:30. I was in communication with Crimson throughout the delay updating them on our progress and estimated arrival time. They had warned me that they don’t organise transfers after 8pm. However, upon arrival they had left us to transit to the hotel via a third party provider. This provider was fine, and did their job, but it was a transfer that involved stopping at 3 other hotels - very much not the private 5 star experience we had been promised, taking 1 hour and a half. The fact they did not wait until 8pm, when other resorts were prepared and waiting, was a big disappointment. The transfer was eventually provided for free after our experience - which to be honest is the bare minimum. It’s insane I even had to pay for the transfer considering most 5 star hotels would provide this for free. Whilst the rooms were fine, the service was extremely disappointing throughout. Check-in took ages, and for some reason there is no aircon in anywhere outside the restaurants and rooms, so we were stuck sweating after an 8 hour journey whilst waiting the 30 minutes to check in. Additionally, every single request we made was either ignored or took ages. I had requested decorations in the room to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, but received nothing. I managed to get things organised whilst there, but after requesting matches to light a candle, these never arrived. Add on the fact we would have to request water multiple times before any showed up and it was all just very frustrating. We had booked a sea view room, but were unable to fully enjoy it as it was located directly in front of the infinity pool, with guests able to see directly into the privacy of our bedroom due to the lack of any noticeable tinting on the windows. The rooms were also not soundproofed, and we had to wake up early every day to the sounds of screaming children using the pool in front of our room. No amenities were on offer - no access to water bottles without requesting or paying, no access to coffee without paying, no welcome or departure drinks, no free water on the beach (which is seriously just dangerous). Crimson certainly has a 5 star beach and sea. The access to the beach is superb and the sand and sea were typically excellent, but it’s not as if Crimson has control over these things. In fact despite the environmental fee, I regularly saw some litter in the sea and on the beach. It felt very budget in the way they treat you. There are shuttles to the centre but these run almost every 3 hours and are often packed, offered on a first come first serve basis. Every little thing is charged too. For a check out at 12pm instead of 11am, it’s 2000PHP. There’s no way to charge anything to rooms to pay upon check out (like every other hotel) if you do not have a credit card. Debit cards are no good for the deposit apparently. We just stayed at Piece Lio in El Nido, which was far far far superior. It’s a real shame because Crimson does not do service to a terrific sea and stunning location. It may be the most modern 5 star hotel on the island but honestly just pay the extra and go to the Shangri-La. It’s almost as if they knew how bad it was. We weren’t even asked how our stay was upon checking out, as if they were dreading the answer. It felt like an American diner leaving, where they just wanted us out the room as quickly as possible to make space for their next cash cow. We even arrived at the airport 3 hours early for a domestic flight for some reason.

RRalph AngelesWe stayed there from 12 Sept to 16 Sept and it was a great experience. First the hotel's location is very practical as it is between the White beach and bulabog beach and surrounded with stores and restos. The room experience is 10/10 as during our stay we experienced a storm and multiple times the electricity has been cut-off but in just few seconds the generator started. Kudos to thats. The internet connections is very decent. The room is clean and housekeeping frequently can be found on the floor ready to render any help and to be ask to clean our room. The swimming area is decent just need a little bit cleaning of the pool. The hotel's resto is very good, food is delicious and in good portion. Hotel's resto is very accommodating. The only comment is that if it is not possible to have a buffet breakfast atleast add more breakfast menus to have more options but other than that the food is great. And lastly special mention to Ms. Shar of front desk, she has a very welcoming aura, always smiling and very accommodating even though we are just passing through the front desk we always seeing her smile and she is very jolly. Overall the stay is great and will certainly book again to Ferra. Thanks to all the hotels staff.

PPedroExcelent resort. The resort is offering breathtaking views, pristine private beaches, and an atmosphere of pure tranquility. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our villa was luxurious, spacious, and impeccably clean The food was exceptional across all the restaurants. We particularly loved the seafood at the Sirena Restaurant. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve experienced, with a wide variety of international and local options. Shangri-La Boracay is the perfect destination for a relaxing escape.

DDen4iikkkThis review is genuine, without embellishment. Excellent hotel. Thank you to the hotel and all the staff for a wonderful stay! The hotel staff are very friendly and smiling, they will help you with everything and guide you in everything, they are always willing to accommodate you. Clean and spacious rooms. The grounds are huge. There is a 7-Eleven across the street from the hotel. The beach is practically private. This information would have been important to me when choosing a hotel in the Philippines. There are almost no waves on this beach, unlike the main white beach. There are almost no people, you swim almost alone, no one will bother you. The entrance to the water is perfect. The sand is gorgeous. There are no sea urchins. It's the perfect place for snorkeling! Say hi to Nemo, the clownfish. It's the perfect place for photos. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and restaurant, with reasonable prices. We almost always ate there. Everything is very tasty. They also held Chill and Grill events, where they serve excellent burgers! You can get to the center by free shuttle or order a tuk-tuk for 300 pesos. It's a very long walk, so we always used these transportation services. Thanks to the hotel, we have the most pleasant and positive impressions. We went there for our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a very pleasant and nice surprise. If you are choosing a hotel, I guarantee you won't go wrong with this one. Thank you!

SSteiger_UKOf course. Here is a short, glowing review for the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay. *** ### **Absolute Perfection from Start to Finish** **★★★★★** My stay at the Mövenpick was exceptional. True 5-star service—from the swift, chilled airport transfer to the warm, personalized check-in. The property is stunning, with immaculate pools and lush gardens. My room was spacious and, clean and modern. While it's a premium resort, the level of service, the incredible breakfast spread, and the impeccable amenities make it worth every peso. The private beach is the cherry on top. Pure bliss.

GGuest UserOur stay at the hotel had many positive aspects, but unfortunately, the overall experience was not satisfactory. Let me start with the good points: the rooms were clean, bright, and beautifully designed. The breakfast was excellent, and the facilities—such as the gym, kids' club, spa, and swimming pools—were impressive. The location is also amazing. However, two major issues overshadowed these positives and would prevent me from returning. Events and Weddings: During our 3-night stay, events disrupted our experience on 2 nights. On the first day, the rooftop infinity pool was closed to all hotel guests due to a private event. It felt unfair—having a beautiful pool but being unable to use it because it was rented out to someone else. On the third day, half of the beach area was occupied by a wedding setup, and loud music could be heard from our room until 10 PM. This made it impossible to relax on the balcony or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a 5-star resort. Instead, it felt like being at a nightclub. The noise was particularly frustrating because we were traveling with a 2.5-year-old child who usually goes to bed at 8:30 PM but couldn’t sleep until 10 PM due to the loud music. After the wedding ended at 10 PM, the staff began cleaning and moving equipment back to the building, creating significant noise until 11:45 PM. This happened repeatedly, with loud sounds every 15 minutes (Unfortunately, I cannot upload videos to give an idea of the noise experience due to size limitations, but I’ve included screenshots below). For a hotel charging over $300 per night, this level of disturbance is unacceptable. Service Speed and Quality: The service was consistently slow and inconsistent. Simple requests, like asking for ice to be delivered to our room, took up to an hour. At the beach restaurant, it took 15-20 minutes just to receive a menu, even after asking multiple times. There were also mix-ups, such as being brought a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc instead of the Chardonnay we ordered. While the hotel has many great features, the lack of consideration for guests during events and the poor service quality significantly impacted our experience. For the price paid, we expected much better.

AAnonymous UserI have been to some 5 star hotel and here are some of cons that I found from this hotel which starts from when I asked at the front desk to have no MUR for the whole stay and just leave the toiletries at the front desk and I will just drop by to get it from there. While on a DND sign, the housekeeping knocked on my door bringing the amenities and toiletries which rushed me from washing my face to get the toiletries. The second one is the harsh drop of phone call from front desk. My ears hurts bad from the drop of telephone of front desk while I was to the end of my sentence. Please let the guest drop the call first. Although, smooth check-in and very well appreciated preparation for birthday celebrant. Got my room upgraded as I want a bathtub. Everything was great upon check-in. If you want good options for breakfast you need to eat early and also I don’t have that much of option since I have food allergies.

HH M SIRAJUL ISLAMBeautiful Hotel, But Breakfast Needs Attention We recently stayed at Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay for 2 nights and had a wonderful overall experience. The property is beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect for accessing the beach. However, we feel the breakfast offering is an area that needs significant improvement and doesn't match the high standard of the rest of the hotel. · Limited Variety: The selection was quite limited and remained almost exactly the same every day. After a few days, it became very repetitive. · Food Temperature: The hot food items (e.g., sausages, bacon, steamed rice) were often lukewarm or cold, which was disappointing. · Freshness: On a couple of mornings, the pastries and bread felt a bit stale, as if they were from the previous day. · Local Flavors Missing: We were hoping for more authentic Filipino breakfast options (like garlic rice, different local sausages, or fresh tropical fruits beyond just watermelon and pineapple) to better experience the local cuisine. This is a lovely hotel with so much going for it. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as a few improvements to the breakfast would make this a truly 5-star experience. We would still consider staying again, mainly for the excellent service and fantastic facilities.
