An impeccable hotel in a quiet yet central location. It's a ten-minute walk to a lively restaurant street, and you can book island excursions right from the beach. The rooms have a lovely tropical vibe, and the breakfast is fantastic. Haidee and Marlon at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful.

AZ1020I really love this place. It's a resort with excellent value for money, and the service is enthusiastic. If I ever get the chance to visit Bohol again, I'd definitely stay here. However, for those who specifically want fine sandy beaches, none of the hotels along this stretch of beach would be suitable because there are a lot of pebbles. Also, Ctrip mentioned that the hotel offered Chinese-speaking service, but that wasn't actually the case.

Pretty good, very clean. Everything about the place really highlights that vacation feel. The forest is so peaceful, with only the sounds of birds. From the room, you can only hear the playful splashing from the pool, and at the beach, just the waves. The only downside is that the bathroom makes some noise, probably the sound of water.

GFYMFCDefinitely one of the better hotel/resorts that I've encountered during my travels in the Philippines. The hotel itself is located in a beautifully secluded lot that's surrounded by vegetation & conveniently placed a stones throw away from the main commercial centre which hosts a supermarket & even a DIY shop.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean & all come with a balcony & modern AC as standard.
But the best part is the large pool which lights up at night & is by the restaurant which serves good coffee, pizza & an excellent Thai curry.
If you have transport then i would highly recommend staying here.

Guest UserThis was by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during the May Day holiday. The common areas on the first floor are really well-decorated, and the hotel offers a wide range of activities and things to do. The food was just okay; breakfast was mediocre, and lunch, dinner, and drinks were all pretty average. But then again, I didn't have high hopes for Filipino food in general. The hotel's service and cleanliness were top-notch, and the beach was beautiful with options like sailing and kayaking. The biggest surprise was the scuba diving experience – the two masters were genuinely lovely, and we had an amazing time over four to five hours for 4000 pesos, seeing so much marine life. I'll definitely be back to stay here next time!

Guest UserWe had a pleasant stay at Cliffside Resort, a place that truly stands out for its stunning view and its very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
The room was clean, although a few small details could be improved, such as the drawers, which were not properly cleaned.
Most of the staff were very welcoming and smiling, which created a warm and friendly environment. A few team members were a bit less friendly, so the experience felt slightly inconsistent, but overall the staff were lovely.
The food was very good, and so were the cocktails, which made our meals enjoyable.
However, the timing of the service really needs improvement. It became almost funny: one of us would get their meal, eat it calmly… and the other would be served 30 minutes later — sometimes almost an hour later.
It’s a strange and quite awkward situation, because you don’t really get to eat together. Back in France, this would never happen, so it was really surprising.
Despite this issue, we overall had a positive stay, with an exceptional setting and lots of potential for an even better experience.

This hotel's service is the kind that ruins your day. I was asked for my room number three times. The first two times were fine, and the inquiries were at least polite. But once, when my child was playing in the pool, a male attendant came over and very sternly asked for my room number. His look and expression made me feel like he thought I was some outsider trying to sneak into their pool! It was incredibly offensive! To top it off, our child cut their toe in the pool. When I mentioned it to them that evening, there wasn't even a single 'sorry.' I initially thought about sending an email to complain, but then decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I definitely don't recommend this hotel! The food was also bad; even the butter at breakfast was some unfamiliar local Filipino brand.

This is a decent resort with good value for money, perfect if you're using it as your sole base in Bohol. It's a notch below a typical resort in Sanya, China, but still offers standard five-star hotel amenities. What sets it apart from Sanya hotels is the excellent snorkeling right off the shore. The hotel provides free life vests, so even kids can enjoy it (safety first!). There are plenty of fish in the water, and you can easily find starfish – in fact, we later realized starfish are quite common around Bohol. If you're looking for more diverse marine life, you'll need to take a boat further out. The breakfast buffet is standard, with a good variety, and always features at least one roasted meat daily. The lunch and dinner restaurants are a bit pricey for what you get, though the dining environment is lovely. There's also a quiet rooftop restaurant on the fourth floor above the guest rooms. Given its location near Alona Beach, a fairly bustling area, you can easily order food delivery to the hotel lobby via apps, and there's a shuttle service to Alona. Being close to both the airport and Alona makes it an ideal first hotel in Bohol. You can then use it as a base to book sardine snorkeling and island hopping tours, even directly through Ctrip.

The hotel's location is a bit far from Alona (a 15-minute drive, 250 peso).
I stayed here for two days and found it extremely inconvenient. There are tricycles right outside, but they're a bit more expensive than usual. The lack of nearby restaurants and stores was quite bothersome.
The hotel staff were quite friendly. Rooms facing the pool can be noisy, especially on weekends with music playing until 10 PM. If that bothers you, I'd suggest avoiding those rooms.
On my first night, I didn't close the bathroom door and there was a strong sewer smell. It improved the second day after I kept the door closed. Also, the hotel didn't provide slippers during my two-day stay.

The hotel is located in an isolated place, so it is very convenient to rent a bike or a tricycle to get to the town or to the nearest restaurant. There is a small private beach, but there are a lot of plants and a lot of boats. I loved the service - you can call the massage or manicure master, grab a drink at the beach bar, lie down near the beach and enjoy the service. They also provided me a bike rent with delivery. The room is in zebra style - very nice and comfy. The only thing I disliked - the room is very small, it is basically tiny, though it had a terrace which a view of the hotel stairs which I found useless.
