Just a short walk from Beimen Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the The Red House, Lungshan Temple and Ningxia Night Market all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.
"Art Inn Kaifeng has the feel of a sleazy motel. The location is excellent, but the establishment itself needs maintenance and better cleaning. There is no microwave anywhere, and no mini fringe in any of the rooms, as far as I know. The front desk is not actually 24 hours, and the wi-fi can be spotty. Bathrooms have inadequate lighting (very hard to shave, for example), and there seems to never be enough toilet paper. All the posted signage/instructions are outdated and irrelevant. I guess you get what you pay for, as the rooms are cheap—very difficult to find in Taipei."

GGuest UserThis hotel is in an excellent location! You can easily escape the bustling city by just crossing one platform and entering a peaceful atmosphere. Head north to Tamsui or a short distance south to Shilin Night Market, making this one of the few places I'd definitely return to.
The only baffling thing is the toilet paper placement. Even though the toilets have been upgraded to bidet seats, the toilet paper holder is directly behind the toilet. You have to twist 90 degrees to reach it after you're done… Wouldn't that put a strain on older guests' backs?
Additionally, the bathroom trash can in the quadruple room is a bit too small. Perhaps the idea is to limit usage frequency, but the bathroom is used by four people, right?
Finally, the breakfast staff member was very direct. While her tone wasn't accusatory, it made things a little awkward. For example, there's a steamer station. In other restaurants, different layers might have different items, but when a guest looked for items on a lower layer, the server immediately stopped them. To avoid this kind of situation, a simple sign indicating that all steamer contents are the same and to take items from top to bottom in order would prevent such awkwardness.

GGuest UserIf you have ever stayed in a capsule hotel before, you know pretty much what to expect. The main drawer of this place is the location. Situated in the heart of Ximen, There are a lot of shops and places to eat that are within easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful upon checking are they created a very good first impression.
The capsules or pods or whatever you want to call them were average in terms of comfort. We stayed in a mixed dorm and the mattresses were very thin so none of us got the best nights sleep. Also the walls are very thin and anytime anybody moved or did anything throughout the night, the noise was very apparent.. however, we were aware of all of this upfront and it totally served its purpose in terms of giving us a place to lay our heads for a few hours before returning home the next day. There are little TVs and electrical outlets in your pod, and while there are USB outlets to charge your electrical devices, both of the ones in my pod did not work. Overall, I would stay here again but not if I was looking for something that offers a high level of comfort or luxury

Mmiso_udonnLocation and amenities is unbeatable. There is a lift which was awesome. The basement area is open 24hr to eat and chill out and has free coffee and tea too. Only downside is the mattress. It is very hard, the cushion is non existent, leaving the hard metal springs poking out. It was very uncomfortable to lie on it. This could definitely be easy improved given all the other good conditions

GGuest UserLocation is great. Room and beddings seem clean. Staff was accommodating when there was some mix-up with my room assignment. The bathroom and toilet need to be improved though. Molds are all over the tiles and sink. I think they do clean the bathroom, but it just feels nasty and unclean when I need to step into the shower. Bidet in the women's toilet was covered in plastic, but it looks covered with mold. I feel more comfortable using the public toilets...

Wweier2nd time staying here! Enjoy the location as it's very convienent for me to travel around~ Love that there is Starbucks & Yoshinoya nearby! About 10 mins walk to the metro station!

MMay See The WorldThe location is great, just few minutes walk to ximending walking district. But the hotel is at 4F in a very old building. The room is quite small with low ceiling and moldy in the wall. However, i got the room with window with at least i can see some view outside but also noisy from the street.
The service is nice and friendly.

AAnonymous UserGood location near Ximending and Taipei main station. There is a Starbucks nearby to redeem b1g1 drink voucher from klook. The hotel uses self service machine to check in and check out. The wall is thin, so if your neighbours next door is noisy, you need to be patient. At the hotel lobby, there is a free hot and cold water machine with free oolong and green tea and coffee above the machine. There is also a toilet but no shower in the lobby. There are soap and shampoo and towels provided, but you need to bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste.

DDarren.TanI was assigned to the last room 517, the bathroom not even have the hanger for cloth / bath tower.
After the first night, my skin had the irritation for both left & right hands.

MmegumasaoThis place is super convenient! It's just a one-minute walk from the MRT and located right in a bustling market, so food and shopping are right at your doorstep. The room was really clean. Even though it's a self-check-in hotel with no front desk and room cleaning only every four days, it was actually perfect for someone like me who doesn't like to be disturbed. The check-in process was a bit confusing the first time (having to join a LINE group), but I'm sure it'll be quicker if I stay again!
