Some places are meant to be passed through. Others are meant for surrendering oneself to the valley. Hidden in Xinzhai Village, Lujiangba, Baoshan, Yunnan, Huke Coffee Estate Hotel rests at the foot of the Gaoligong Mountains, facing the Nujiang River Valley and gently embraced by 13,600 acres of contiguous coffee plantations. This is not just another countryside retreat beyond the city, but a place where one can truly slow down, quiet the mind, and rediscover the rhythm of breath and time. As the mountain road winds upward, the view gradually unfolds—mountain breeze, the aroma of coffee, drifting mist, and layers of green coming forward all at once. For first-time visitors, there is no need to worry about unfamiliar mountain roads; the estate can arrange pickup from the visitor reception center, making arrival feel more reassuring and allowing this journey to begin with less hesitation and more anticipation. Once here, many realize that this trip is not about getting somewhere quickly, but about moving a little farther from the noise and a little closer to oneself. The beauty of Huke is not loud or dramatic. It is the kind of beauty that naturally quiets the heart. Traditional all-wood Dai-style buildings are scattered across the mountainside, with timber roofs, wooden corridors, terrace views, and morning valley mist reflecting one another. The entire estate carries an understated sense of ease and restraint. Guest rooms are tucked among the trees, each one holding the landscape just outside the window. In the morning, distant mountains and rolling clouds slowly unfold before the eyes; by evening, the light softens and timber interiors blend gently into the valley scenery, making both movement and mood slow down almost without notice. The 270-degree mountain-view rooms, terraces, and soaking tubs are not simply beautiful design elements—they are invitations to pause, to look at the mountains, listen to the wind, do nothing for a while, and gradually empty a mind that has been overfilled for too long. It is, of course, a place that photographs beautifully. But more precious than that is the fact that every photograph taken here feels effortless, because the surroundings themselves are so open, breathable, and naturally composed. Standing on a terrace, sitting by the window, strolling along a wooden corridor, or quietly leaning by the infinity pool, one sees the Nujiang River Valley in the distance and vast coffee fields nearby. The layers are already there. What people tend to love is not the need to take many photos, but the instinct to preserve a moment because the valley, the light, the timber, the mist, and the self all feel exactly as they should. Coffee is another gentle form of healing here. Located in the core production area of Baoshan Small-Bean Coffee, Huke carries more than seventy years of cultivation heritage, giving this land a depth that feels both real and lasting. Staying here means truly enjoying coffee as part of estate life—the estate’s own high-altitude coffee is available complimentary throughout the stay, and a cup may even be taken along on the journey back, carrying that clarity and fragrance a little farther. Guests may also walk into the coffee groves, see bright red coffee cherries hanging from the branches, and step into the professional coffee workshop to slowly experience a hand-brewed cup from rising aroma to lingering finish. In the city, coffee is often for staying awake. Here, it becomes a way to unwind, a way to reconnect with the land, the valley, and oneself. Many people worry that visiting on a rainy day may not be worthwhile. But those who truly understand Huke know that rain can be one of its most moving moments. As rain falls into the coffee fields, mist rises gently along the hillsides. The layered outlines at the foot of the Gaoligong Mountains fade in and out, while the Nujiang River Valley slips softly behind veils of moisture, and the entire estate seems to dissolve into a living ink painting. Listening to rain in a wooden house, with the scent of coffee in the air, one can sit by the window or on the terrace with nothing planned at all—simply watching clouds drift and hearing the rain fall, until the heart quiets on its own. Huke on a sunny day is expansive and luminous; Huke in the rain is softer, calmer, and even more restorative. In many places, rain is merely weather. Here, rain is scenery, and an experience in itself. Beyond staying and looking, this is also a place to return time to nature. Guests may follow light hiking trails through vast coffee fields and the Gaoligong rainforest, observing plants and listening to birdsong as the body gradually releases its tension. One may wait for sunset at the viewing platform, or look up at the stars at night and reclaim a kind of stillness rarely found in the city. For couples, close friends, families, or anyone simply seeking a place to rest, this is more than a brief stop—it is a stretch of valley time in which emotions can be gently set down. The food continues this same rhythm of comfort. Fresh Dai cuisine, coffee-braised chicken, and other signature dishes bring together local flavor and estate life with ease. Breakfast, served with terrace views of the mountains, turns even a simple meal into something soft and unhurried. As for service, the estate does not seek to impress with exaggerated formality, but with attentiveness that feels just right—butler-style care, efficient check-in and check-out, luggage storage, and 24-hour security all make the stay feel both reassuring and effortless. Huke Coffee Estate Hotel has never been simply a place to spend the night. It is better understood as a restorative mountain-valley retreat worth making a special journey for: on sunny days, there are vast coffee fields, sunrise clouds, and sweeping mountain views; on rainy days, there is the sound of rain on wood, mist rolling through the valley, and a rare sense of quiet not easily found elsewhere; and in every kind of weather, it offers the chance to slow down, soften the mind, and return oneself to nature. For anyone seeking a place that is not merely beautiful, but truly calming, healing, and worth the journey, Huke would be an answer difficult to replace.

"Room type: Suitable for two generations, but not ideal for three generations. There's a lack of privacy, with only one bathroom that needs to be passed through, offering no privacy at all. The front desk staff was lovely, but the cafe was just so-so. For afternoon tea, four adults and one child were given only a tiny cake, which felt incredibly stingy. Dinner was also portioned per room and seemed very scant, even though we got extra food later and it was free. The overall experience definitely wasn't luxurious, and I felt it didn't live up to the price. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but it was a great experience, and you could tell the chef and owner put a lot of heart into it. When I mentioned feeling a bit unwell with a stomach bug, he proactively suggested adding a lot of finely chopped ginger to my rice noodles. Their sauces were also delicious. Thank you to him. However, the cafe only offered two types of coffee: latte and pour-over. They didn't provide any other options, which made me feel like they weren't very keen on satisfying customers or particularly passionate about coffee, even though it was all complimentary. But the natural scenery was absolutely stunning; I loved the view. My family's experience was quite impacted by the service, though. I'd only stay here for one day at most."

"I drove to Tengchong and Mangshi, and stopped by Baoshan for a day. I chose the Baoshan Yongchang Hotel, which is considered one of the best hotels in Baoshan, yet is reasonably priced. The room was spacious, clean, and well-insulated, with convenient parking. The breakfast was also very rich, including the local specialty bean flour. I tried it, but it wasn't tasty. Perhaps I'm not used to it. If I come back to Baoshan, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Ding Lao founded the Suiding Coffee Manor to make Chinese own special coffee beans, located in the mountain area of 600-1500, Shandong side of Gaoligong. At the same time, this homestay was opened by the way, so that more people could experience coffee culture and taste their own coffee in the manor. I saw the coffee bean tree here, tasted the hand rush of Lao Ding, and also visited the coffee museum, a very interesting experience. The accommodation experience is a boutique university dormitory, hot water, large space, the manor is very quiet at night, and you can smell the smell of baked coffee."

Before arriving, I was wondering if the 5.0 rating of this hotel was inflated, but after arriving, I realized it was absolutely genuine. Whether it's the room amenities, location, cleanliness, or value for money, it far surpasses all other guesthouses. The guesthouse offers a sumptuous breakfast, lots of fresh flowers, and adorable squirrels fed by the owner. There's also a hot spring, and some rooms even have private baths. Unfortunately, we hadn't booked in advance, but after telling the owner, they immediately filled the tub for us, ensuring excellent privacy. The room is fully smart-equipped, the pillows and bedding are very comfortable, the hairdryer is a Dyson, and there are dental floss, hair ties, etc., by the bedside. The trash can is electric, and there's even a weighing scale—it's like a five-star hotel! But what I want to praise most is the incredibly thoughtful Mr. and Mrs. Sun. They informed us the night before our arrival that they would pick us up in Tengchong city. Whether we were arriving or leaving, Mr. Sun enthusiastically carried our luggage without us having to lift a finger. Upon arrival, he meticulously explained how to explore the ancient town, providing detailed routes – something we desperately needed. At the previous guesthouses, the owners were indifferent when we asked questions 😢, but at Huaxi, they treated guests like family. Upon entering the room, they offered incredibly sweet and fresh welcome fruit; while soaking in the hot spring, they proactively provided bottled water; and when we returned tired from sightseeing, they led us to the gym area to relax on massage chairs. The owner's wife even took many photos for us. One night, returning from the bar street, we saw a very expensive guesthouse with all its lights off and doors locked, but when we returned to Huaxi, it was always brightly lit and the owner's wife warmly greeted us. I've always felt that the core of a hotel is service, and Mr. and Mrs. Sun anticipated our needs – their service was comparable to a 7-star hotel. This is the best guesthouse we've ever stayed in, bar none. A 5.0 rating is well-deserved. I've never written such a long review before. I joked with the owner that I was afraid if it became popular, I wouldn't be able to book a room anymore. My partner even offered to take a photo with the owner, haha! If there's ever a chance to come to Tengchong again, one of the most important reasons will definitely be to come back to Huaxi and experience the wonderful feeling of a vacation there again.

This is a super cost-effective private hot spring guesthouse. From the moment you book, the housekeeper will contact you with your location. Parking is convenient, the room is spacious, and the bedding is comfortable, with latex pillows. The room amenities are incredibly complete, surpassing many brand-name hotels. They include a water-heated blanket, a garment steamer, a humidifier, an eye mask, a hair tie, dental floss, and even a large sewing kit. The owner is incredibly attentive. When we arrived in the evening, the owner gave us plum wine. There were cookies and fruit in the room, and Xiao Ai played music. The private hot spring in the courtyard was incredibly comfortable and private, and the essential oil aromatherapy was refreshing. The experience was fantastic. For a few hundred yuan, you get a thousand yuan experience. Highly recommended!

This hotel was the best one I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Yunnan. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. When I checked in at the front desk, the staff immediately offered me hot flower tea. They thoughtfully informed me about the rooftop hot spring's opening hours and enthusiastically recommended local delicacies. They even brought the afternoon tea, which we had missed, to our room, really showcasing the excellent service in Tengchong. After checking in, we went to the restaurant recommended by the front desk and then enjoyed the rooftop hot spring. The hot spring water was incredibly comfortable – my body doesn't lie! That night, I slept soundly and deeply, and my skin felt so smooth and improved. In the evening, the front desk sent up two bowls of tremella soup. Another heartwarming gesture! On the day of checkout, the front desk staff kindly asked if we had breakfast and even gave us a souvenir when we left. If my itinerary hadn't been pre-arranged, I would have definitely stayed an extra day in Tengchong just for this hotel.

The hotel is located inside Tengchong Mayugu Hot Spring Town. Mayugu Hot Spring Town has a beautiful environment and complete supporting facilities. The hot spring in the hotel room is very warm. The Pinheyuan is a courtyard-style hotel with three-in-four courtyards and Lingnan style. The interior decoration and furniture of the hotel are very elegant, and the courtyard design layout is reasonable, reflecting the taste and temperament of the hotel owner. Living in the hotel and enjoying every view in the courtyard is very beautiful. The hotel butler was meticulous and thoughtful, introduced the hotel's facilities in detail, and the breakfast made for us was also rich and delicious.

An absolutely perfect experience! The Tengchong Yuebo Banshan Hot Spring Hotel is definitely worth countless revisits! My stay at Yuebo Banshan Hot Spring Hotel completely exceeded my expectations – it's absolutely a five-star experience! The hotel's location is absolutely breathtaking. Opening the window reveals layered volcanic rock formations and lush green tea gardens. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning truly felt like living in nature. The private in-room hot spring was the biggest highlight. The water is sourced from natural underground thermal springs, and a soak truly melted away my travel fatigue. At night, I could even gaze up at a sky full of stars, creating an absolutely magical ambiance. The service was incredibly thoughtful, down to the smallest detail. From assisting with luggage and explaining the facilities during check-in, to proactively delivering warming ginger tea in the evening, the staff were unobtrusive yet incredibly attentive throughout my entire stay. For breakfast, the Tengchong Ersi (rice noodles) and freshly baked flower pastries were incredibly authentic, with fresh and delicious ingredients. I will absolutely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Tengchong, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to fully immerse themselves in Tengchong's laid-back lifestyle!

Dorland is my top choice when traveling to Tengchong! The hotel is located in the main city's commercial district, right next to Yuquan Garden. It's super convenient for dining, shopping, and catching a taxi to Heshun or Rehai. The location is absolutely fantastic. The room amenities are thoughtful; it comes with a mini-fridge for drinks and fruits, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation design, keeping it dry and free of standing water. The mattress is just right – soft yet supportive – and incredibly comfortable after a long day, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hygiene is excellent, and the value for money is unbeatable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tengchong!

The scenery of Chayun Park in front of the hotel is so beautiful! It's blue sky and white clouds in winter. It's so comfortable to sit in the park and bask in the sun! The hotel is very affordable among five-star hotels. You can stay for about 200 yuan. You can't stay in such a good hotel outside! The breakfast is rich! Overall, I am quite satisfied!

The newly opened Wyndham is fantastic, with a fresh decor and great facilities. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise – really delicious and reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you're staying here. The public hot springs have five pools open, each with different benefits and temperatures, all carbonated. Worth a try! The gym is also spacious, with brand new, professional-grade equipment. The only minor drawback is that the front desk staff's training seems inconsistent. First, I called to ask about turndown service, and one front desk agent flat-out said they don't offer it. A little while later, a different agent called me back to say they do. 😓 It feels like their internal training isn't quite up to par, or at least some of the front desk staff aren't professional enough. When I checked in, they mentioned a spa center. I asked for a spa menu, and the staff member thought I wanted the Chinese restaurant menu. 😅 Later, they told me the 'spa center' doesn't actually offer any spa treatments, just the hot springs and pool.

The environment is beautiful, there is a big lake in front of the hotel, and walking in the morning makes you feel more like a vacation than visiting crowded attractions. It was almost 10:00 when we checked in at night, and the front desk enthusiastically recommended which restaurant was delicious and which one had fast delivery. On the day of departure, I had an early flight, and they also enthusiastically prepared breakfast for me. Knowing that one of my companions was lactose intolerant, they thoughtfully prepared a separate portion of soy milk. A big thumbs up

This hotel is a very good value for money. It's not really a hotel, but a developer's property. The environment is great, and compared to other hotels in Tengchong, it's relatively new and nice. The price is also reasonable. We even got a free room upgrade for our extended stay. The family room is perfect for traveling with two children. It's quiet and spacious. You can ask the front desk to arrange a quieter floor. It's not far from anything. The breakfast is also quite good, with everything you need. Highly recommended for families with children.
