Platanias Hotels with Pools

The hotel was wonderful – very clean, new, and well-maintained. The pool was fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel's location was fantastic – a quiet town, perfect for evening walks, and only a 5-minute walk to the beach. We rated the view from the hotel highly, but only because we managed to get a room with the best possible view. It's worth noting, however, that some rooms may overlook other hotels, but the proximity to the beach fully compensates for this. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed – you could even cook something. The only downside was the lack of standard tea and sugar sachets, but we easily bought them at the nearby Synka market. The hotel's location is probably the best base for trips on the island – getting to all the most beautiful spots and beaches took about an hour and a half by car. I couldn't have chosen better – I highly recommend it! The service was fantastic, and the receptionist was absolutely exceptional – passionate and incredibly kind. Please also note that hotel parking is available – but we didn't risk it – the cost would have been enormous. We chose option 2, which offers a very affordable daily rate, just 5 minutes from the hotel! The town itself is okay, with pubs and restaurants, shops, a Synka market, and a lovely beach for strolls – the sand isn't the best, but the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this place. The hotel is very conveniently located 30 meters from the sea and has its own sunbeds. I had a room on the 1st floor (other rooms are different, I recommend to negotiate the 1st floor when you book). It was an almost perfect spacious apartment for 1-2 people. ”Almost” only because the kitchen is really basic, you cannot really cook anything more complex than a sausage. On the other hand, why would you cook even a sausage, if there are so many nice places with excellent food around? The bed, bathroom, furniture and everything else are all in excellent condition. Large terrace with a view on the yard and even on a bit of the see. The best part are Maria and Veronika, who keep it all in order and clean and kindly help you out with all your problems. Just do not be shy to ask. I had a very late flight home, so they let me land in another extra room until evening. Truly appreciate warm personal attitude which is impossible in bigger fancy resorts. And yes, the date palm at the entrance looks fantastic! see the photo

If you enjoy a short few nights stay near Chania with lots of kittens, this is your spot! However, amenities are quite hard to get in the neighbourhood as the neighbouring markets are closed around 9pm. Parking does not come easy either, as they are limited to first come first serve basis. But overall, service is amazing as they provide instructions for late check-in (even during midnight)

Personnel très sympathique, l’endroit est hyper charmant. Très belle expérience, on a bien mangé, on s’est bien reposé.. à refaire avec grand plaisir

It had the kitchen and a coffee pot which is nice. We would have likes some shower gel and shampoo, which they don’t give.
