Special thanks to Chenchen: Our butler, Chenchen, was genuinely kind and helpful, providing meticulous service with a down-to-earth and diligent attitude. He truly made us feel at home. During our trip to Lugu Lake, Chenchen thoughtfully arranged an afternoon tea for us, choosing a spot with an excellent view. He also took us to discover many interesting places, patiently answered all our questions, and helped us book a fantastic pig-trough boat experience. From our first meeting until check-out, he enthusiastically assisted us with all kinds of matters. His professionalism and dedication left a deep impression on me and my husband, creating many wonderful memories and making our entire stay perfect. Chenchen's devoted efforts deserve high praise from guests. Many thanks to Butler Chenchen for his thoughtful service. In my opinion, the facilities, hygiene, and environment of this hotel at Lugu Lake are truly top-notch, without exaggeration, it's unequivocally the best in my heart. The hotel boasts a unique geographical location, directly facing Goddess Bay of Lugu Lake, enjoying the most captivating scenery of the entire lake area. Opening the window reveals picturesque lake and mountain views; misty mornings and evenings bathed in sunset glow create an immersive ambiance, with every frame captivating the senses. The room design is equally impressive; from the bedding to the overall decor, every detail reveals careful consideration. The bedding is made from premium materials, soft and skin-friendly, providing an extremely comfortable sleep that ensures a restful night and dispels all fatigue. The hotel's overall environment and every detail within the rooms have been meticulously refined – the color temperature of the lighting, the tactile feel of materials, the spatial layout, and even that small corner by the window perfect for quiet contemplation, all exude a restrained yet warm aesthetic, detailed but never contrived. On the service front, every staff member displayed a high level of professionalism, being attentive and considerate while maintaining appropriate boundaries, making guests genuinely feel cared for and at ease. The tour programs offered by the hotel are also outstanding, with well-designed itineraries and diverse, enriching experiences. From lake tours to hiking, boat rides to cultural explorations, each activity ensured an enjoyable return, greatly enhancing the quality of the trip. Even more noteworthy is that the hotel group owns several excellent restaurants, not just within the hotel premises but distributed across various areas of Lugu Lake. The food quality remains consistently high, demonstrating their strong operational capabilities and brand strength. Guests can enjoy their well-prepared or recommended delicious meals in a large part of the scenic area, which is a rare find in a tourist destination. Having traveled and stayed in numerous hotels across the country, I can honestly say that this hotel has reached a top-tier standard in China in my eyes. Whether it's the hardware facilities, environmental ambiance, service details, or the completeness of dining quality and travel experience, it is on par with any excellent hotel I have ever stayed in. It deserves my most sincere praise and high recommendation, was the most pleasant discovery of my Lugu Lake trip, and is my definite recommendation for all friends in the future.

Another absolute gem in Yunnan. The price is relatively affordable and all you get for it is totally worth it. The views outward the hotel lobby is stunning and the decor of the interior is very cozy and fitting. You have a full view of the lake from the front unobstructed. Rooms have everything basic and more. Relatively spacious and decorated very extensively, cozy and comfortable setting and bed. Nice setup in the bathroom area and shower is spacious. Toilet with automated bidet is also nice. For those who like bathing there is a bath with mountainside views and bath salts/supplies given. The AI and automated curtains add a nice touch, though this one is more primitive than xiaodu. Staff were very kind and helpful，offered to drop me off at the bus stop and served dessert at night.

Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake.

An unexpected delight during our Yunnan trip! We made a last-minute decision to visit Lugu Lake. After seeing reviews mentioning cats (which my kids love), we booked this place without much further thought. To our surprise, the children absolutely adored it, and we adults found it incredibly relaxing too. The staff were so kind and helpful to the little ones, and the convenient pick-up/drop-off service made getting around effortless. Even on a rainy day, the kids had a blast participating in the guesthouse activities! We even hiked up the back mountain to forage for mushrooms – so much fun! The overall decor perfectly complements the stunning scenery of Lugu Lake; it's a paradise for photography enthusiasts. I've stayed in many expensive guesthouses, but this is the only one I genuinely feel offered excellent value for money. From the hardware (scenery, decor, facilities) to the software (service, experience), everything was top-notch. We regretted not arriving sooner and wished we could have stayed an extra two days. Just relaxing at the guesthouse, strolling around, or enjoying a drink on the terrace with the view – it was all incredibly comfortable. It's perfect for a few friends to gather, unwind, and clear their minds. One last thing: the breakfast was quite rich, especially the Western options. My two kids were fighting over it and even wanted to order more after finishing! Unfortunately, portions are prepared in advance, so if your kids are big eaters, I recommend ordering an extra portion in advance. 😂😂😂 If I get the chance, I'll definitely come back with friends for another vacation. A million recommendations!!!!

This hotel left an extremely strong impression on my family! For the price point, the location and view from our room was amazing. The view is unblocked, and we had a nice walk by the lake. There is a cafe beside the hotel which served nice drinks and food. The view from the cafe was excellent, and we would highly recommend paying a visit there! The room had a nice, cozy feeling and a spacious balcony. There aren't many restaurants in this particular town, but the main town is about a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the hotel. However, the hotel is able to provide dinner! They have a several options to choose from like noodles and hotpot, and the prices are extremely affordable! The hotpot was really delicious as well, and the breakfast was scrumptious! In the morning, there will be dew above the waters of the lake, and the view is simply stunning. Overall, we had a really great experience here thanks to the helpful and friendly staff!

The room was spacious and clean, and the view was absolutely amazing as it faces the lake. When we arrived, we were welcomed with afternoon tea in our room, which was such a lovely touch. The staff were incredibly helpful and sweet throughout our stay. They gave us recommendations on where to go and what to do around the area, which we really appreciated. The breakfast provided was rather simple, so don’t expect anything too fancy. One thing to be aware of is that there is no lift, so keep this in mind when considering how much luggage to bring. We had two suitcases, one of which was quite heavy, but the staff were so kind and helped us carry our luggage up to our room. When we checked out, they also helped bring our luggage down and even sent us off to our car. Overall, we really appreciated how warm, helpful, and attentive the staff were. They truly made our stay more comfortable, and we would definitely recommend this place! 😊

Facilities: Very new. I booked a loft room with a terrace, and the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window was amazing. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the terrace and enjoy Lugu Lake on a clear day. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Service: The amenities provided were very thoughtful. The room had sanitary pads, disposable face towels, insect repellent, eye masks, and earplugs, showing how much effort they put into preparing essentials. They offered shuttle service to and from Daloshui Village; just contact them, and a car arrives within five minutes. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic; they even washed, dried, and returned my clothes. Their attitude was superb. This is truly the most delightful hotel I've encountered on my Yunnan trip so far!

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Probably the only place in Lugu lake where foreigners could stay. The young staff have limited English but more than make up for it with their level of service and the translator app. They even set up a groups chat in WeChat just to advise us and ensure we were in touch. Location is great (except for the fact that there’s the road below the hotel) Hotel itself is brilliant. Phenomenal rooms. Great meals. Very personal touch and an ever willing / cheerful / helpful group of very competent youngsters managing. The whole crew looked under 30 but did a great job. Was an absolute pity we only stayed 2 nights. Next time a week at least! Definitely coming back.

My first review on Ctrip is dedicated to Muyu Guesthouse in Lugu Lake. As someone who doesn't like to do much research, I'm always afraid of being misled by online photos before booking. After browsing hundreds of hotels and guesthouses, I finally chose Muyu, which I suppose was fate. The result far exceeded my expectations: the entire guesthouse is decorated in warm orange tones, and every room exudes a cozy and romantic atmosphere. I especially loved the small garden on the first floor—among the guesthouses in the area, only Muyu has maintained its plants so meticulously, perfect for photos and for pets to play in. The short-haired landlady is efficient and warm, with a natural radiance in her conversation. From the spatial layout to the service details, her thoughtfulness is evident everywhere. Even the recommended local restaurants were a pleasant surprise. Lugu Lake is already a paradise worth visiting repeatedly, and Muyu's existence gives this longing a true home. After returning home, Mr. Z was inspired to write a poem for Muyu as a token of his gratitude: Muyu: Emerald green hills creep up the steps at dawn, the reed gates open to reveal a lush dew. Muyu The aroma of beans cooked in the spring fills the house; the cauldron, like clouds, is simmered, its surface shimmering like silk. Occasionally, mountain birds are called to add to the wild vegetables; sometimes, the moon shines on the fragrant cup. The most sentimental is the guest by the abyss, who rises at dawn to simmer a soup of fine, delicate ingredients.

The hotel is located on the lakeside not far from the lake area. The balcony faces southeast. We arrived in the afternoon and saw the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is quiet and beautiful, just like this hotel and the hostess of the hotel. A girl, enthusiastic and sincere. We thought that afternoon tea was just a cup of tea and a few biscuits. But they had 4 kinds of fruits, French fries and chicken nuggets, and the tea was also a local specialty flower tea. It was very attentive at first glance. There were also desserts in the evening. The rice noodles for her breakfast were much better than those in most restaurants. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and the hot water in the bathtub is sufficient. It adds a lot of color to the trip to Lugu Lake. I look forward to going there again next time.
