"1) shower very weak. 2) it is mostly used for marriage functions. People in celebratory mood rarely care about other room occupants. They create a din in the corridor even as you are trying to sleep. 3) power breakdowns were rather frequent albeit for small durations. 4) traffic to and from varanasi city was terrible. Property is on the outskirts. 5) front office staff requires training. 6) was promised a bill adjustment as one guest couldn't make it due to a medical emergency. Was told that the amount billed and paid for will be adjusted against food charges of restaurant. On checking out this wasn't done as the person in-charge - the front office manager (mr prateek) - wouldn't accept calls if only to apologise. I paid for fooding. 7) restaurant staff led by mr pramod was excellent, very courteous, accommodating and efficient. Food was good."

"Nice hotel, I had a room with a terrace.
The room had air conditioning and a fan, which was not very noisy.

"The location is perfect as it is located ***** the Ganges River! You can see the Ganges River from the attached restaurant, and the food there was delicious! However, since it is located ***** the Ganges River, you cannot reach the hotel by rickshaw or taxi, so you will have to walk for a few minutes, but the journey is also exciting! The problem was that there were a lot of small insects like mosquitoes (?) in the room, but I was given an insect repellent machine at the reception."

Simply Wow!
My family and I stayed at this gorgeous place for over a week and enjoyed our stay. The owner, Mr. Abhinav Singh, personally takes care of every need of the tourists and goes the extra mile to make sure that the tourists are comfortable and are having a pleasant experience. The property is very immaculate, and all the famous places in Varanasi are nearby.
Mr. Abhinav Singh helped us organize our amazing trip to Varanasi, and also our awesome journey to Ayodhya Dham and Vidhyavasini Dham Shaktipeeth. The staff and drivers are always willing to help with a pleasant smile on their faces, they all are very kind, cooperative, respectful and warm people.
I recommend this Hotel Golden Lotus Varanasi to everyone. I am grateful to Mr. Singh, all the drivers and the staff. Many blessings to all.

Stayed here for couple of nights... Extremely well behaved people... Especially the manager Ashwini Dubey and staff Awdhesh Yadav were extremely cordial and provided very good service... Rooms and washrooms are both clean ana sanitized...

For me, the best thing about the hotel was the location: walking distance from the Dashashwamedh Ghat. Just as important as being close, the street that leads to the Ghat is more walking friendly than the usual Varanasi streets. That being said, the surroundings of the hotel are very noisy. I'm not used to it, so I had to wear earplugs to sleep. The hotel is simple, feels more like a hostel, the staff was friendly, and the room was good enough, but nothing special. Last remark: location-wise, the hotel was also good because it was near Cafe 1916, the restaurant that became my go-to place in Varanasi, for breakfast, lunch and often dinner (food food, not too spicy, food price; it was suggested to me by a GuruWalk guide).

Hotel was located far away from main road and we have walked a lot to reach out the hotel by taking guidance of local people. Toilet was very small and we could not bath properly. Only good part was the ”rooftop cafe” which provided very healthy food based on indian and international menu.

Bonus Tawan1. The room I got was a standard room on the ground floor without windows which, in fact, the hotel should inform about on the room's description.
2. After entering the room, the tables and most of the furniture were a bit dusty, and the air condition had problems which required three staff solving it.
3. The duvet did not have a cover, so it looked a bit worn out.
4. After using the bath, water dripping from the geyser lasted for a while.
5. After complaining about the room, the manager, Suryakant Pandey, and his staff, Gauraf, showed their responsibility and promised to upgradte my room on the next day.
6.However, the day shift didn't know about it and insisted me to stay at the same room until I claimed about the prior upgrade from the night shift manager.
7. Luckily, the changed.
8. On the following day, the maid forgot to clean my room but the hotel owner was there and ready to get everything done.
9.The best thing of the hotel was the service that the night shift manager and his team helped me and understand what the customers wanted.
10.All in all, apart from the cleanness and readiness of the room, the hotel was just OK.

場所が分かりにくいのでGoogle mapを参考に向かうと良いです(近くに類似の名称のホテルがあり、路地を歩いているとそちらに誘導しようとする輩がいます)。

Dwivedi Hotels Palace on Steps offers a mixed experience. The room was basic but stuffy and smelly, with unpleasant odors from the area below the windows. The hotel is slightly dated, yet the staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, close to Dashashwamedh Ghat, where you can enjoy a vibrant evening ceremony. The view from the room overlooking the river is breathtaking. Highly recommend dining at Aadha-Aadha Café for clean, tasty, and affordable meals. The rooftop ambiance is lovely. Mona Lisa Café is another great nearby option. Overall, a good stay for its location and views, despite minor issues.
