"The parking lot is quite small. When we checked in, there were no available spots, so we had to park in a much further lot. The bathroom is pretty spacious, and having the washer and dryer right in the room's bathroom was very convenient. The only downside is probably the parking situation."

Hotel and Spa Gift Takayama, nestled near Takayama Old Town, perfectly blends traditional Japanese style with modern amenities. The onsen (hot spring) water is incredibly smooth, and the open-air bath offers stunning mountain views, washing away any travel fatigue. Rooms are spacious and spotless, and the dinner kaiseki features local ingredients like Hida beef. The service is meticulous and thoughtful. It offers exceptional value for money and is an ideal choice for experiencing Takayama's culture.
The rooms are more spacious than they appear in the photos. The Onsen (hot spring bath) is small but very modern and well-maintained, and the service is absolutely fantastic! It's located in the old town of Takayama, so I'd say the location is perfect. The only drawback is that the rooms aren't soundproofed, so you can hear other guests.
Stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room was comfortable.
Although the breakfast set is good, the croissant is delicious 😋
The dinners were good for both nights, but the hot springs were a bit small.
I couldn't see the surrounding environment because it snowed heavily during the two days I stayed there.
There is only a thick layer of snow around.
Very cosy ryokan, room was slightly dusty but quickly cleared up with the air purifier provided, the toilet was quite small for me but manageable. I liked the location and the decor, although the building seemed a little bit old compared to other ryokans in the area, it was still very well maintained.
