Amazing
QQamarjamilFrom the moment I arrived at the Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, I knew I was in for something special. The level of service was absolutely exceptional — warm, attentive, and always professional. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and memorable.
The hotel itself is spotless, with immaculate attention to detail in every corner. My room was beautifully designed, blending elegance with comfort, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking — overlooking the serene mountains and the city’s picturesque skyline.
Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a rich variety of delicious options that catered to every palate. From fresh local delicacies to international favorites, everything was prepared to perfection.
The facilities at the hotel were everything one could ask for in a luxury stay: a world-class spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, stunning pools, and several dining options that offered an exquisite culinary journey.
Overall, it was a flawless experience that exceeded all expectations. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already looking forward to my next visit. I would absolutely love to return and stay for a few more nights — one visit simply isn’t enough.
GGuest UserI like the pool but the beach is dirty with alot of fishing nets trapped on corners and plastic bottles in the cave areas.
The rooms are small and bathrooms Sewrage not good. And they cant fix it if blocked
The hotel is old.
But people who work in this hotel they are amazing thats why i keep going to them every year.
They upgraded me for free and give me late check out
The receptionists are super nice
LLML and travelExcellent service and a truly premium experience at JW Marriott Muscat. The staff was attentive at Kitchen 7 (big shout out to Yuni, Naveen, Saad, Ashiqul, Pankaj and other staff) throughout the stay, constantly checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Breakfast spread was fantastic. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only downside is the location. While it's close to the airport, it's far from most city attractions. Also, regular taxis aren’t available; only luxury cars serve the hotel, which can cost 3x the usual fare. Still, a great stay overall.
MMaha AlshihaI only stayed for one night but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the service was great, the food was delicious.. I like the fact the we could walk to the opera house as it was really close to the hotel. The level of security was high. One thing I did not like was that when I was having breakfast both times the smell of food was really strong that it stuck to my clothes through the whole day, there should be ventilation for the cooking.
GGuest UserDisappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.
SShamsstThe hotel is good for peace and comfort. The receptionist Taha has an excellent style and gave us an upgrade to the room. The room is very nice. We had a wonderful time.
GGuest UserThe ambiance was pleasant, and the service was good. While there's a swimming pool, I didn't get a chance to use it. The location is excellent, right by the pier area, making it very convenient for guests arriving by car. We specifically chose this hotel for our planned early morning dolphin-watching boat trip from the pier the next day. It offered great value for money, and the breakfast was excellent!
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite a distance from the city center and not particularly close to the airport either. However, the hotel's facilities and overall environment are very good; it's clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The only drawback was that the buffet options were quite uninspired. Furthermore, there are no dining options nearby, and the area feels quite isolated.
HHicham BoubetraWithout any prior information, upon arrival we discovered that the entire exterior is under repair. The hotel is large and spacious, but quite old. The service is intended to be quality but does not reach the standards of other equivalent hotels. No doubt the immobilization of part of the hotel under repair has affected the quality of the services. The end of the repairs is scheduled for May 2025, with a swimming pool and a new exterior.
GGuest UserThe hotel is 7 or 8 minutes walk from Qurum Beach, convenient to see the sea view, but there is no large business super nearby, restaurant. I am a girl, traveling alone, and the stay experience at this hotel is very poor. First of all, the taxi at the entrance of the hotel is the hotel's internal car team. The slaughter of passengers is serious and unreasonable. I took it once. The original fare of 5 rias was charged 10 rias. Finally, I took a more detour. When getting off the bus, the Arab driver shouted at me for 2 more riya, quite rude. When I left, I had to take a taxi to the airport and stopped a taxi at the door, but the uncle of the hotel taxi team called the other taxis and forced my luggage to his own trunk, not saying that they had to take the same price. I was angry, but they were unreasonable, and they argued with each other. I called the manager of the hotel, and the manager looked at it and then stood by! Secondly, during my stay, I was knocked on the door by a local drunk man in the next room. I later learned that this hotel has a bar, and the local wind is not good. I did see some local young ladies in and out of the evening dressed in cool clothes. . . The above wrote his own experience, hope to provide reference for the countrymen.
